Atlanta Rapper Bankroll Fresh Killed During Shootout at Recording Studio

Up-and-coming rapper Bankroll Fresh was shot to death Friday night during an armed robbery at a northwest Atlanta recording studio.

Police say Fresh, whose real name is Trentavious White, 28, was shot multiple times outside Street Execs Studio on Defoor Place at approximately 11 p.m.

The rapper and his heavily armed entourage returned fire, turning the quiet business/residential district into a war zone.

Police recovered 50 spent shell casings at the scene, according to 11Alive News.

White was best known for his hit song “Hot Boy.”

Atlanta area recording studios are routinely targeted by robbing crews because rap artists and their entourages are known to carry large sums of cash and expensive jewelry.

The robbing crews are so problematic in the Atlanta area that rap artists often hire off-duty Atlanta police officers to guard the studios while they’re working.

White was affiliated with College Park rapper 2 Chainz, who was himself the victim of an armed robbery on the west coast several years ago.

I have one son. Rap has NEVER been played in our home. Vulgarities have NEVER been uttered in my home. Today, my son is 22 and in college. Before transferring to an out-of state school, he lived in NY for 20 years. And I respect your opinion. I give glory to God first for everything I have achieved in life, with my son being my proudest achievement. HOWEVER, I think we, as a race, fail to understand that God helps those who help themselves.

It doesn’t help to be a religious people, then fail to use common sense and take responsibility for our own lives. I could just sit and PRAY that my son never got arrested. OR, I could teach him that certain things are right and wrong. That certain people are not worthy of him being associated with. It’s impact is evident. It’s spiritual warfare and the best defense is love-having a connection with God.
