Waka Flocka, Tammy Rivera

Waka Flocka tweet

This is why Waka Flocka Flame is one of my favorite rappers. Unlike other rappers who toe the line, Waka is not afraid to speak his mind.

In a post on his Twitter page on Monday, Waka tweeted: "Can't wait to see the day America gets a real black president because Obama don't count!! !! !!"

Later, he later caved to pressure and tweeted a statement likely written by someone else, saying he loved Obama and he meant a black president accepted by all.

But we all know what he really meant.

Like Waka Flocka is someone qualified in making political statements; he barely makes sense when he speaks...

  • Junkanoo

Is that his girl she's pretty

  • Renee Bee

I wish Tammy Rivera would find herself a "real" husband. She doesn't even carry/honor your last name, nignog! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c9f12e4b78d68dde1ff4089240e7183561bead17111dbbdfdbb2d8caeb2756c5.gif

  • Taylordanes

The same guy who cheats on his "long suffering wife" .... a couple who creates drama for a storyline?....typical narcissist..... I will pass on his opinions....

  • Karma WhO

i dont know what point Waka was tryin to make here...but ummm stick to music brah! Even the back peddlin of the comment didnt make sense..

  • Hell_On_Heelz

Sandra, enough already! I need for folks to ascertain that President Obama is/was not the President for blacks only. Waka, what is your voting record? Do you vote during off season elections, do/did you vote in your State's applicable primary(s)? This goes for all people with an uneducated opinion: do some fukking research prior to running off @ the mouth. One of the main reasons, President Obama couldn't get much passed during his terms is because both chambers are/were controlled by the Republicans. Waka, provide your insight on gerrymandering...I'll wait!

  • Renee Bee

Thank you. No one knows you're an idiot until you open your mouth and proves that you are indeed an idiot.

  • Scromes1212

Waka has came along way! He got knowledge of self somewhere along his journey. Good for you brother. Much success

  • B.Sweet has e-white privilege

Waka stick to the booty club music. We don't need or want your opinion on anything else.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

We are never black enough for each other, are we? Apparently Obama's not black enough even though his father cane directly from the motherland. I "thought I was white" when I was younger because I dared to speak proper english around other black children growing up. When will we stop with this crap? If Waka doesn't like his policies then that's one thing. Claiming he isn't really black is another. Knock it off

  • iWasteTime

    It all makes sense now!!

  • missmiami305

He should have kept that to himself. I get where he is coming from but some will not. Not to mention posting that online is disrespectful to President Obama. He has been disrespected by the masses because of his skin color.

  • understandingoverignorance

What utter nonsense. President Obama is and was a good President. Waka needs to go and listen to some Nas and learn how to write and rapper deeper lyrics because that garbage he spits is why he makes such ignorant comments.

  • lil goodie

FOB... so okay. We.must all have leverage to try and stay relevant... happy turn up Tuesday..

  • TDK

I agree except for Obama not being black. What has he done specifically for the black community? I know he has done several things for the LGBT community.

  • Buttercup

    Nah. KeKe's just touched.

  • Sucker Free

This fool tryna generate a LHH storyline clearly ?

  • Ni Ni

I agree with the initial tweet that Obama don't count as a black president. However, i do believe that Obama is as close as it's ever gon get. Im sure other minorities will have a better chance of presidency soon.

Oan, i hope that all this bickering thats going on back and forth is not setting us up for an attack on U.S. soil. It feels like something is going to happen. I just hope the FBI is not focusing all their attention on this election and not on the people.

  • missmiami305

Yup! I feel the same way. Every presidency has an agenda. His was the for the rights of LGBT the community.

  • CutdBS

0bama's legacy is going to be gay marriage and amnesty for illegals. He and Democrats thought blacks would be happy with just a black face in the White House, wrong. Trump is going to get 16% to 25% of the black voter and a lot of blacks aren't going to vote.

  • lil goodie

Everybody needs a check.smh.. he trying.. either this or cheating again..

I'm confused. We're not even accepted shopping in the corner store, Macy's, Saks, Wal-Mart, walking down the street, driving in the car, at "normal" jobs or breathing in general. Having a BLACK ANYTHING accepted by ALL is a real stretch. It's ok though. They...and YOU, WAKA, don't have to sit with us.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

  • PettyEyezPrime

I love her and her crazy. Her talent makes it ok LOL.

  • Floriduhh Evans

I agree that Obama has done great things during his presidency but I agree that's he not a black president. He's a biracial man raised by his white family members and he never took a stand for black people like he did for LGBT rights. Remember he's not the president of black America but America, he said himself. I don't know if America will ever be ready for a true Black president

  • Kbellaluvvs

I'm just curious to what kind of black he's talking about..

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

People need to realize that just because you voted Obama in doesn't mean he's gonna put a cape on and be the black superman to our community. This man has fought literally everyday in office to pass laws but was always met with opposition. He is tired and just wants to chill in D.C. til Sasha graduates. I love my president been in lust wit him since the 2004 DNC speech but he ain't superman!!!

  • Buttercup

I do as well. She can sing her entire face off, so she gets a pass from me too.

  • TDK

If you'd like to know what Obama did for the LGBT community. Here's the link; http://www.newnownext.com/president-obama-gay-lgbt/08/2016/

  • lil goodie

I want you to say and post......... then I'm gonna post ...... Then we both gonna get checks ...yeahhhhh baby !!!!!!

  • Petty Patty Cakes

I think his black wife makes up for his white mother in terms of understanding the blac experience in this country. You are correct though, he is the President of all Americans, not just black Americans. Look how hard it was for him to pass any bills/laws without government shut downs and opposition. The man has done what he could do. We have to stop acting like one politician can change everything overnight when it takea everyone working together to make it happen

I commend him for commuting so many prison sentences though. You do what you can.

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

Waka take yo love n hip hop azz back on tour like u was when Tammy was filming. We don't need u in a real discussion keep making stupid rap music and cheating on yo wife. Thanks!!!

Mimi gets a pass too, right? We've got to support our touched entertainers

  • Scromes1212

Your correct but I think some black folks are upset none of those laws he was pushing everyday were aimed at helping black folks.

  • TDK

He was superman for the LGBT community though.

  • Nancy Drew Wants U 2 Fall Back
  • L.T.L. Since 2007

Serious question for all those that keep saying President Obama hasn't done anything for black people....

What "black thing" were you expecting him to do SPECIFICALLY?

I'm really curious as to what could have made him more "down" in YOUR opinion.

    https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/9b685e71f8839b3b749401e72fac1e9f03a520ac09e15abc0e51f407b8c2f9c4.gif

  • PettyEyezPrime

I'm so sorry that many in the Black community thought Obama was their personal President. It doesn't work that way. However, don't discredit what he has done. And another thing, half these people complaining have never tried to be or do ish that was worth a damn thing. Out here talking about minimum wage but never had a job or even a diploma but talking about you not working for "xyz" so instead you'd rather make "0" and see that as an ok logic.

  • MoniquetheGeek

I'm confused... He wants a real black president but also one that doesn't see race?

Won't a "real" black see race?

  • Yoni

Take what you will from it.......

  • Diva_woman

I'm sorry but what did black people ask Obama to do while in office? When you show me the legislature that he ignored then you can talk. Do you know the role of the president vs congress vs local officials? The main initiatives that he implemented himself were the ACA and my brother's keeper. No other community besides black ppl expect someone to not only solve their problems but figure out exactly what they need and then deliver. Where are the specifics or were you looking for reparations?

  • Buttercup
  • Yoni

    :2dance:  :hump: :blow:

I think dude makes valid points, but I think he's a fraud so I can't take what he says too seriously.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

    You're confused, I'm confused, he's . . . lost

  • TDK

Personally I wanted him to go hard in the paint for us, just as he did for the LGBT community. http://www.newnownext.com/president-obama-gay-lgbt/08/2016/

  • Yoni

Like I said, take what you will from it. Yeah.

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

  • Diva_woman

I keep wondering where's the piece of black legislature that he vetoed. These people don't even understand how government works nor do they want to vote in local elections because it's "all rigged" but somehow Obama did something wrong?

  • Soda
  • TDK

No that's what he did for all Americans, NONE of those were specific to Black Americans.

  • PettyEyezPrime

T H I S???? They wanted him to come in and start handing out reparations so they could go buy cars, grills/jelwelry, weaves, new outfits and shoes/sneakers, money to make it rain are my thoughts. They wanted it to be tax season ALL the time. Until thy ran out of funds in 2.5 months.

  • Zizzle

"I love the poorly educated." - Donald Trump

  • RespectSelf

So I never considered him a "real" black president either. I believe that he was able to be president based on that fact. Don't know if they would allow a black man, raised by black people, with both black (African american) parents to be president.

I don't think that any of that takes away from the President. It is what is. I don't get why people don't get that...

  • Yoni

They all seem like they decent, until you make them mad. Or see them for who they are.......HUMANS!

Idk YOU but 1.) you got my number at the end of your name...and b.) have you ever heard of Rahh King Ptah? I don't know/follow him, but I seen this video of him and all I have to say is.......bwahahahhahhahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahaaha

  • L.T.L. Since 2007

I guess if he would have tried getting $2 Tuesday's mandatory at the tidday bar, or it legal to put your lights in your kids names, or let you use lil JoJo's social security number because he's yours, so by proxy that number is yours, too.

I know this is all sterotypical ghetto shyt, but REALLY what was he supposed to do? I don't hear anyone talking about the My Brother's Keeper initiative.

  • Cinnamon Brown

This is what burns me... what the hell was President Obama supposed to do specifically for black ppl?!? I need some real answers. Because last I checked in a country where blacks are on record as being property, he has shown a great amount of ingenuity in position that was dangled in front of us as a Never gonna happen, happened twice.... And elected by those who are the grands and great grands of those who owned us... That alone is worth something.... We can say we are owed reparations all that and I agree partly.... But what more could you ask for than to sit in cockpit of the USA and run it with respect and honor. I don't care what anyone says. President Obama and the First Family are to be looked up to... What just because weed isn't legal in all 50 states?? He has created a system of health care shoot as a small business owner and independent artist I'm glad I have some kind of healthcare... I just don't get it.... Maybe I'm missing something here....

  • MsSincerity

What did President Obama do for black people?......Well there was that one time that he invited those cops over for a cup of beer, to talk about why they arrested Henry Louis Gates. (side eye, then rolls eyes)

  • Dr. P

I wish someone would tell me what exactly a "black" president is? SMFH. Dumb asses sound so idiotic saying shyt like that. I wonder if Sprites said these sort of things when Bush and Clinton or any of the other SPrite Presidents were in office?

  • Diva_woman

The gay community rallied behind local and state officials until they made their way to the Supreme Court. Obama didn't put up one legislative document towards gay rights. All he did was agree that what they were fighting for was justified. I believe if in the same way black people learned to use local and state government to decide on some form of legislation he would agree with us openly as well as he has many times before with trayvon Martin and others. In the same way that body cameras for police were approved and he was in support of them, you have to have something tangible. He is not apart of the legislative branch so changing laws is not what he does as president. Some black people expected him to fix all their problems and that just isn't his job

  • RespectSelf

lol nope, not ever. I don't see the problem with his comment. The only problem I have with it is that fact that he shared on a public platform where he knows that people can't handle such comments... then try to add sugar for the sweet tooth folks.

A black person can be a black person in any country. The term 'black' is not owned by black people in the US.

  • Diva_woman

That's understandable but it doesn't change how our government works. Just as black people asked for specific legislation during the civil rights movement the same goes for today. You can march all you want but if all you keep asking for is justice for these specific individual cases, nothing will change.

I don't know... Kaepernick and Zendaya (who both have a white mom and black dad) are out here setting it off for black people. Meanwhile, that one black man on YT consistently degrades black women like his mama and paternal grandma AIN'T black. So, in my opinion, having 2 black parents doesn't define "real" black for me.

  • Yoni

Oh. Whale, I think that TDK font thought you were referring to Wacka. I could be starting shit....oops I mean wrong. LOL

  • TDK

This^^^^! sad part being that they basically took the blueprint from the Civil Rights Movement and applied it to their own agenda, even going as far as comparing their plight to that of Black America (for me, that's a stretch... for ME). unfortunately, the work done by our elders made things better for us, but it also made us a bit too comfortable, again, IMO. as you stated, WE all have to remain vigilant and work to effect change in our LOCAL communities and then work to expand from that foundation. Waka is entitled to his opinion of Obama's presidency, but to question the man's 'Blackness' is just ignorant, IMO.... https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/68bc52b2a4f54f3dc0d4dea29ec0c12c203c19b65d4d18beb2fbbd13d0be6a55.gif

This is such a touchy topic for people. Think of his comment like this... There are Mexican restaurants everywhere, but not all of them are that real authentic Mexican food. I mean seriously.. Yea they have tacos and burritos, but when you actual taste some "real" Mexican food... you know the difference. No debate about it.

POTUS is the Don Pablos... or that Chipotle type of Mexican food

"real black" is that mexcian food you find out in Cali on a random street... Shit it may just be at little stand. But that taste, and flavor will never be mainstream.

Long story not so short.... we may never see a real black president.

  • 88

No they were not African (Hamites) that's why the Hamites (Africans) sold them. That's also why they were called Negroes NOT Africans It's a difference sis.

  • PhillyFacts

Waka does has a point the current POTUS has done more for LGBT community, and Syrian refugees than he has for people of color both black & brown whom was drinking the cool aide running to the polls in record numbers to elect then re-elect him. Sad just because he's our shade doesn't mean he's had our best interest at heart. I would've felt better if he proposed bills to assist in our plight as a people, and have them shot down by congress as opposed to doing nothing at all.

  • RationalThinkersUnite

One of the things he could have done was make "African American" race relations his primary focus in the white house... similar to how Hilary has her foundation set on women and families. Yes, he supported programs such as "My Brother's Keeper", but the problem with that is it was open to ALL minorities - not exclusively African Americans. Moreover, I think he could and should have brought a case to the United nations as the treatment of black people in this country is a crime against humanity.

I think we do go hard in the paint. We protest, we organize, we are attending colleges and universities at an alarming rate.... However, every group needs a Leader and unfortunately many of our Leaders were killed/driven out/or turned back in the 60's and 70's. So there's a whole new generation of people who WANT to help and are TRYING to help, but don't know what to do. I'm not talking about the well educated folks such as yourself and on this blog. Im talking about the children who grew up in a generation without families or communities. They need a Leader that can point them in the right direction, and unfortunately they thought that Leader was Obama as he is the most powerful man on EArth and just so happens to be black (well phonetically black)

Word is, some of us were run out of our native land and we migrated to Africa. It wasn't African people the Africans sold, it was those immigrants, now said to be the real Israelites, the real chosen people. Our former land was taken over by fakes, people who are Jew-ish. Check out HIDDEN IDENTITY OF BLACKS IN THE BIBLE on YouTube. It explains why we have struggled for centuries.

Not even sure what Obama got to do with anyone of this at this point.
Many of you know or has or will have high blood pressure, cancer, or some chronic illness. The Affordable Care act, better known as the Obama care act prevented insurance companies from saying no to not covering prescriptions if you had a gap in medical coverage; allowing you to be covered by your parents until age 26.
Do you know how many blacks didn't have insurance or had not seen a doctor in decades.

Obama's agenda didn't focus on the education system, it focused on mentoring and education outside the classroom. No child left behind did nothing for the ghettos and implementing more standardized testing and metrics still won't do anything so I feel that his mentoring initiative is far more effective than another overhaul of laws to go into an already messy education system. The platforms he ran on were always mainly dealing with healthcare though. Every president has a legacy they want to leave and his led to tackling healthcare. But to blame him for things not changing in black communities when nobody came to him with even an issue, solution, problem absolutely nothing is absurd. I'm yet to hear where there was anything black people asked of him that they didn't receive.

  • Scromes1212

I agree, but Zendaya and Colin both attribute some of their success to being bi-racial. They have each said that they are partially given their platfrom because their 50% white heritage allows them privilege and access. I think what Waka is trying to say is that our President is Bi-racial. Not only that, he was raised by his White mother, so his experiences as a biracial black man being raised by a white mother is different than a african american man raised one or both of his black parents. We all know this and have experienced it on some level in our lives. Also, it is well documented that while his wife and first lady is black, this is the first time he has been in a relationship with a black woman. His experiences are not what we would call American "black" experiences.

  • Renee26

The correction makes no sense...what he want a Nigga...a pants sagging, blunt smoking, reformed (or not) felon...like the people he associates with??That surely wouldn't be accepted by all....Obama is what a professional Black man looks like...A REAL BLACK MAN who is family oriented, not in need of street cred, with executive presence, and handles his business too. That sir is a REAL Black man...all those other brothas are the impostors. He needs to learn how to recognize a KING and work on becoming one himself.

  • Nancy Drew Wants U 2 Fall Back
  • Floriduhh Evans

I don't expect anyone to fix all my problems but call a spade a spade. Like I said he's a done good things. A president's greatest power is not in changing laws of course but his influence. Since he came out and changed is opinion on gay marriage this country has seen major changes in LGBT rights but he has remained silent on many black issues as well as publicly reprimanded black men publicly. I can't take away the good he's done but he's not black politically or literally, he's biracial at best. That was all the black this country could handle.

  • CutdBS

lol, he was a BLACK COMMUNITY ORGAINZER!!! No one needed to tell him what problems were going on in the BLACK COMMUNITY. I'm not playing that game.

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Hi Cinnamon. To answer your question, I expect him to at least be the Leader of our community. He is the most powerful man in the world, and he is a Black man. There is no better person to speak on our issues than him. Yes, he is everyone's President but everyone is not in the same predicament as African Americans. I think its great that we have a "black" President in office, but what good is it if he can't get anything done exclusively for our people? And no I don't mean cleaning up other leaders messes (incarceration, war, etc). I want him to create something exclusively for us that helps our reality.

  • TDK

None taken. Can you please educate me on exactly what Obama has done specifically for the black community, like he has done for the LGBT community?

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Thank you. My brother's keeper, mass incarceration, etc.... these are great programs but they are for the everyone, not just black people. People keep saying that we need to do for ourselves and stop relying on the President. Well what exactly should we do for ourselves that we haven't done already? Do we as black people really think that the majority of black people are lazy and just don't want to do better? Because that's what's implied when you say "Don't count on the President get it done yourself"!. Well people are doing this everyday and cant get a job or food to eat so they are looking to a higher power for help. We are not saying "Obama, look over our problems and let us know when you've come up with a plan". We are saying "Obama, we are tired, stressed, and can't do anymore than we've already done", "we are hopeless and we need someone to help guide us", "please be our Leader and help push our message and get results". What's so wrong with asking for help when you need it?

  • Nancy Drew Wants U 2 Fall Back

Stop asking and start taking. Start buying land and building schools, community centers, banks and health markets for people. WE HAVE TO START! They aren't going to do anything for US!

  • Taylordanes

We need to do more than that! We need to buy property and open schools, health food markets, banks and community centers. All these celebs and leaders have the funds to do this but they rather invest in purses and cars and jewelry than the future

  • RationalThinkersUnite

I see where you're going but I would have to disagree. Holistically, high blood pressure, cancer, and some mainstream illnesses are linked to our environment so unless you change the environment these illnesses will increase rampantly. The first thing the doctor tells you when you have high blood pressure is to eliminate stress. Well black men and women are the most stressed out citizens in our country due to their environment. Instead of universal healthcare, how about universal quality education K-12 that will allow me to get a job to sustain my household? It makes no difference if healthcare is available to all but only a few can afford it.

I think he was trying to say that Obama's experiences as a biracial man being raised by a white woman in Hawaii are not the same as a black man being raised by black parents in the deep south, or racist midwest. How much racial tension is in Hawaii? How is the gang culture there? How many are living on public assistance? How are the schools funded? How many unarmed black men have been shot or beaten to death in Hawaii? Has Obama ever had to watch his mom get disrespected and called racial slurs in front of him? Who taught Obama about his African Heritage if his father did not live in the home? How much does his father know about African American experience? Did his public school not have sufficient supplies, water and heat? Is Hawaii's water poisoned with Lead? etc.. These are all things that WE as black african americans know and experience since birth. I can only reconcile Obama's experience with his time in the states and once he got here he was on a private school ivy leauge course. How many black people do you know who share this same experience? I don't know any, and I think that's what Waka was trying to say. We are more diverse that pill poppin, welfare, uneducated souls.

I agree that we need to do more. However, historically everytime we do more, our oppressors do twice as much. For instance, we can buy property but then we get pushed out due to gentrification and eminent domain and there's nothing for we can do about it. We can open schools but then the oppressor purposely opens the door to frauds in an attempt to undermine our efforts (charter, magnet schools). We can buy health food stores but we have to pay double the premium because the big food distributors are also in bed with the fast food chains. I hate to sound pessimistic but it's impossible to improve our situation in the oppressors system as the system was made to do what it is doing - keep black people at the bottom of the totem pole. I think what we need to do is overthrow the system and our best chance of that was with obama because we have the passign but he has the power and influence.

  • Tea??

Well either way that "real" black president won't do anything for black folks just like Obama lol and Obama hasn't been accepted by all so if he doesn't think he's a real black president wtf does he think is going to happen when a non biracial gets elected lol. Guess I'm not really Black either and wouldn't be able to relate as I haven't experienced any of that. Neither one of my parents are white either. There's plenty of Black folks out there that have different experiences than what you have described. Please, please find them...

  • mela.reign77

That last statement was clearly not written by Waka. * rolls eyes*

  • Taylordanes

I agree we need to overthrow the system but folks have to be willing to die for the cause like they did years ago. This generation is obsessed with selfies and material things. There are a number of celebs and leaders who CAN help to make a change but I believe they are scared of their endorsements drying up. We have to do better and support one another. If someone loses an endorsement WE have to boycott and use of black dollars! It's be only way ??

  • TDK

But this was for ALL Americans right? I'm looking for something specifically for blacks, just like her proposed and achieved for the LGBT community. Do you have a link for that?

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Yess there are plenty who have a different experience, but unfortunately the majority have the experience in which I described and it is That experience that brought us to where we are today. I don't discount that you can "Empathize" with the struggle but you cannot "sympathize" since you have not been through it. It's like going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting only to find out that the leader and organizers of the group were all addicted to heroine. Yes it's an addiction but the way I deal with my sobriety struggles are different than how a heroine addict deals with their issues. Not saying one is objectively better than the other, but if you tell me you're an alcoholic and know what I'm going through but you're really a heroine addict, it seems disingenuous. All of this to say we need a black leader who understands and whose reality is the black exowrience. All others can help and support the movement but you shouldnt be the face of something you don't live on a daily basis.

  • RationalThinkersUnite

I agree, but why go to a lobbbyists (celebrities) if you have access to the CEO (Obama)? A celebrity's job is not to invoke change. We don't vote them into office and we don't pay them, directly. Yes they should do it because it's morally right but I for one can't and wont quit my job to help with the struggle. I have to deal with my reality first, and so I treat entertainers the same way. I can't let my children starve to help the community as a whole. Yes, I AM READY TO DIE FOR our rights, but I'm not ready to make that decision for my children. Obama is the most powerful man on earth. Why can't HE do something?

  • http://www.keenready.com KeenReady.COM ?

I disagree...as long as you're down for the cause and able to help it shouldn't matter. The problem is people focusing on the wrong things. It's fine and dandy to talk about what happened which is the past but what can we do now? Participating in the now just needs a goal and a clear path to that goal. Doesn't matter WHO is doing it...just get it done.

If someone is helping me get to where I need to be I wouldn't give a damn whether they were purple with stripes just get me to where I want and NEED to be.

We actually agree. EVERYONE should help. This is not a black issue it's a humanitarian issue. My previous comment was in regards to being the face of the movement. When addressing people of different experiences it is always best to get the information from the horses mouth. Obama is telling everyone he is black and understands our struggle but he hasn't experienced it. Yet he is the key fighting on our behalf. It's like his experience is hearsay which can't be used in the court of law an absent some significant exceptions. When he presents our experience as his own he makes his

  • Scromes1212

That's one part but another part is people claim to understand what we go through but have no compassion for our journey. Waka has made a lot of positive steps toward changing his life but you and others are so blinded by what you think a "real man" is you can't see that.

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Experience seem customary when in fact his life is extraordinary. This downplays what our reality is because now the world thinks if he can do it all black people can when less than .1% of the entire world could accomplish what he did.

  • Taylordanes

The president ISNT the most powerful man in the world. He is a puppet being led by the ACTUAL leaders.. The Rothchilds..Those who own the Federal Reserve..... Obama isnt the most powerful man and he is also not in a position to just freely pass laws with republicans vetoeing his every move!

During the Civil Rights era..celebs and other leaders LED they didnt depend on the government and that is what we have to do now. LEAD! Celebrities do not have to invoke change BUT they do have the power and influence to create it!!!!!

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Taylor- thank you for doing the research! I know you'll understand what I'm about to say more so than many. Yes, their are 2-3 families that own the world so to speak. however the problem is that in order to understand that fact you have to understand how the world works. Most average people do not understand the basic concept of monetary policy and how it is used to influence regulators putting the power in the wealthy. Not the wealthy as we know them but the wealth of people we never see. So people make statement like you just did it turns the average person off because it is so complex and far reaching that they chalk it up to conspiracy. So rather than trying to make people believe that, I'd rather meet them where they are. Meaning, let them discover all our institutions are corrupt by forcing our officials to act appropriately within the system. For example, if we are told since birth that the President is the most powerful than we should beliebe he can do anything. Yes there are checks and balances but that doesn't stop him from protesting with us, kneeling during the pledge or any other stand that many of our entertainers are taking. If Obama were to kneel during the anthem that would send thunder through out the world. The forces that run our world now are much stronger than the civil rights era. They've found a way to fight against any type of protest we hade in the 60s. So our agenda now has to be New, thus simply relying on entertainers will not work.

  • http://www.keenready.com KeenReady.COM ?

Well if you THINK you can do it no reason not to try and do it. If folks didn't have wild and crazy ideas then we wouldn't have what we have now. BUT you gotta realize when you need to go on ahead and fold them cards. BIG DIFFERENCE.

  • http://www.keenready.com KeenReady.COM ?

Agreed. I can honestly say I have not followed him at all so I have no idea what he's been saying about the "Black experience". I hope he's putting in a disclaimer that this is MY experience. But people are ignorant anyway SO...

  • http://www.keenready.com KeenReady.COM ?

Lol he was just saying some woman was a whore and slept around AND that wasn't his kid. He's a damn 30 year old man. He ain't shiit and never will be shiit...end of story.

  • imright

cant wait to see the day he goes a whole month with out cheating on his non black wife

  • GuestSTAR

Isn’t this rich. This 3rd rate, uneducated, dope smoking RAPPER has the audacity to say President Barack Obama is not the first black President. Perhaps WAKA FLOCKA FLAME, WAKA FLOCKA FLAME should’ve ran, than we would’ve had a REAL BLACK MAN as President. He would’ve preferred someone of his own ilk, i.e., pants hangin low, smelly dreadlocked, illiterate, uneducated, subpar, semi successful entertainer as our first black President.

  • Hillary for Potus…Vote!

Lol did you not READ the article that specifically said "What Obama has done for African Americans"? You know what lol..have a good night.

  • Skaii

Exactly...he can only help those that help themselves. As president I think he had to remain neutral. Think of all the backlash he would have received. Everyone is talking about civil rights leaders but how many of them died for the cause? ALL OF THEM!!! Obama most definitely would have been assassinated just like JFK and Lincoln. I am surprised he made it this long without even an attempt on his life, that was my biggest fear for his family when he was elected into office.

  • TDK

I read where it was inserted how we were included along with other Americans? Did you read where I asked for a link where he did something specifically for blacks did you get that? I guess I should've said only, exclusive of other races. However have a good night. ????

bush left him a deficit, a war ,and bin laden .it is just time to try something different, if trump wins this country will be ripe for terrorist attacks and more problems than we have now.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

His experiences make him no less black.

I grew up in a fairly sheltered environment in the suburbs, went to Private schools my entire life - including college, have never been exposed to gang culture, etc. I am no less black for having lived the life I live(d). Like Barack my father (and my mother) was born outside of the US and I am the first natural born (as opposed to naturalized) American in my family. My experience is not the deep-south experience either but I, like Barack, can still relate to the others black people in this country.

Black people are as diverse as any other type of people so his experiences are black-man-in-america experiences so I don't entirely get your/his/her point. #NoShade

  • Petty Patty Cakes

He's black. I'm not sure how this is confusing

  • Petty Patty Cakes

    Sounds normal to me!

Al Dunbar I can only speak for my own experiences. Yes I was ridiculed by black children my entire youth for speaking proper English. In fact for a while I didn't like black people outside of my own family because many were mean to me. I'm sorry that seems like.brown nosing to you but it's my truth.

  • Renee Bee

Add lowest gas prices to date.

  • Renee26

Ok! In my state gas was damn near $5 a gallon last time republicans were in office

  • TDK

Again the article lists what it has done for blacks, which is the SAME thing he did for ALL Americans, no? In light of the police shootings why hasn't he brought up a proposal before the senate regarding more extensive training for officers, for example diversity training. Required body cams for all, required transparency when it comes to deadly force used? A proposal on how jail/prison sentences differ amongst black and whites. As someone said before if he brought it up and it was denied I'd be grateful. However all he did was talk about these thing without permanent actions, resolutions to carry on once he leaves office.

  • Renee26

He spent enough time in Chicago to be involved in the community and know what is needed to improve the situations. A person doesn't have to come out of a certain atmosphere to understand what is going on and actually care about bettering it. There's only so much that the president can do. My state has seen many new community based organizations come about to combat poverty and crime. Government grants are being approved. Obama cares and did a wonderful job IMO and he is a GREAT Black man regardless of where he was raised, by whom, and his mixed race. And I still haven't heard of any scandals behind his name and that says a lot considering he's a politician.

  • barbeez

He originally spoke the truth. O is half African and half Becky. He was brought in to appease the PC voters. Same thing with Hillary. Neither will be effective Presidents due to a lack of experience and knowledge. Hillary may even go to jail.

  • barbeez

And Michelle was more interested in wearing dresses and posing for magazine covers. The worst First Lady ever.

  • Hillary for Potus…Vote!

    Exactly, and aren't we Americans?

As for what you stated, if i'm not mistaken, he has mentioned some of these things, yet the senate "Made up of majority of the GOP" continues to deny every sanction he proposes.

In conclusion, I know our respect for President Obama differs, and that's fine, we're all entitled to an opinion.

Enjoy your night though, and God bless.

  • TDK

Again specific to blacks only, it seems I can't convey this strongly enough to you. He's spoke of these issues but no proposals. Yes let's agree to disagree.

  • MScommunication

Ummmm high school drop.out weed smoking Waka Flaka is not the measure of a real black man. Regardless of Obama's politics he is the epitome of what a man is black or white.

  • MScommunication

Thank you for pointing this out. Black folks ain't asked this man to do nah but gays did and so did immigrants.

  • kekeb

This nigha's name is WAKA-FLAKA-FLAME. enough said

  • MScommunication

Crabs in a barrel are we. We always talking about what we can't do so we get a man of color to represent the highest office in the land and all he gets is flack. What Waka want him to do legalize weed nationally? Even if you don't respect the politics as a person of color let's respect the journey and stop saying that he isn't a black man.

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Patty, thank you for your rebuttal. I think you make great points, however your experience is what I call "blessed". Unfortunately, most black children did not have those experiences, and if they did there would be no reason for change. I have no doubt that you can relate as you are black in America and I assume you have two black parents, but I would not choose you to host a seminar for black youth in the inner city of Chicago because your experience is starkly different from those children in the inner city. That does not make you any less black but it makes you less capable of affecting the masses since you do not share there common experience. The problem with our community is that we are practicing inclusivity and the world is stuck on exclusivity. What makes someone "black enough"? There's no text book answer but the best I've come up with is 1. how you look and 2) how you look coupled with your experience. Our Oppressors told us early on that if you have 1% african ancestry, then you are considered black and this has stuck with us forever. But somehow, if you have 50% white you are still black but you get certain privileges. Yes, a bi-racial man is in the white house but how is this any different than a house negro living in the master's house? It would be different to me if that same house negro also worked in the fields, and came to the house and said "Master, this is a nice house but if I'm gonna live here, then all MY people are coming with me! That is not the case with Obama. He has never, or at least he's never mentioned his hardships as a BLACK MAN, and I'm starting to believe it's because he does not any that will resonate with the community. I'm not trying to take away his blackness but we need someone at the forefront representing the REAL issues we face in the black community such as poverty, lack of a nuclear family, limited education, etc... Yes, he can speak on all of that, but chooses not to do so. Therefore, he cannot relate to OUR experience and I question whether he is truly a black man based on the American definition.

  • kekeb

I disagree with this. IF prisons are built based on the reading level of 6th grade black boys, WTF makes you think THEY want to help the education system? Do you know how mich money prisons generate? WHEN have THEY ever wanted to help US? WAKE UP. U think THEY give two shyts about negros especially negro boys??? Cut it out and read the fine print

  • RationalThinkersUnite

Renee, I never said he doesn't understand. Yes he was involved in the community, but going to a community and actually living there are 2 different things. The best example of this is our public school teachers in the inner city. These teachers spend years even decades teaching all black children, yet they are oblivious to the issues these children are facing, because at the end of the day, they go home to their suburbs. People keep saying that "there's only so much a President can do"..... actually there's tons he can do. He has executive powers, and he's used those powers - not exclusively for black people. He commands the worlds attention yet he's never brought up the treatment of african americans in any united nations or international forum. I just want him to speak up and demand justice for us even if he fails. Like another poster mentioned, at least have an agenda for black folk. Let your black people know that hey, I hear you, I see you and I have a plan to do ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP....XYZ. He should be on capital hill everyday fighting for us. THAT should be his main priority. We are his family, don't you look out for your family BEFORE everyone else? Who cares if LGBT can marry if your own people cannot get access to basic things in life? His priorities and his lack of experience coupled with his bi racial heritage lead me to believe that he is not a African American man. He is a man with a white mother and kenyan father. He may be a great person, idk. But I'm judging him on the state of the black community because I am black, and he calls himself black. Well, you are the President and 40% of your family have to travel 15 miles from their home to get fresh fruit. The unemployment rate doubled for black people, and the school systems are worse than before. So I can't call him a black man, let along a great black man but he's a damn good politician.

  • Michelle

Should have stuck to his convictions. He meant it like he said it.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

From the few select facts about me that I chose to share you can't possibly know what I can or cannot relate to, so I respectfully disagree with you. It's good to be able to have a respectful conversation about real issues though, so thank you for that

  • Cinnamon Brown

But you do understand that his promises are trickle down and usually run through the sieve that is your local government.. You have to know that.... it is your local government that controls the future of your community.... I'm not saying that you can't express your displeasure that is your right. That wasn't my intent to imply otherwise... However if your displeasure is based on an otherwise idealistic fantasy (I'm not saying yours is btw) it has to be corrected...

  • ola57

As much as Congress gave Obama the run for his presidency by rejecting everything he said, I hope to see another black, smart, intelligent, with out a skeleton in his closet, to remind Congress thst we are smart with no string attached.that will be great for us black folks. .... ?

  • Scromes1212

I agree with what your saying but I also understand peoples frustration with the president and so called trickle down politics lol The government in my city been black for 30 years and all we get is the same. Same as Detroit. You have to agree our president didn't go out of his way to address issues in our community. But I fully understand and respect your opinion.

  • Cinnamon Brown

Ok you used a great city Detroit... what do think could be done to improve Detroit government wise? Because the ppl who run the city aren't struggling like the citizens are. Why aren't the ppl calling for a change?

  • Scromes1212

Forward thinkers. A new structure that involves the least of us. Unity among the poor. It has to be a perfect storm. But it also has to be organized. In my humble opinion.

  • Bonny

    Leave Obama alone. #govote #HATER

  • Genia W-m

Tired of these cheesy, uneducated rappers offering a social opinion they can't even grasp educationally.

  • FIGHT THE POWER

ASE! but by that time, there will be no more america... Obama is the last president... there will be no election...

  • Anji

This has been tried over and again in California. By the 2nd year the state administrator has either absconded with funding or just mismanaged. It was a complete failure and I was initially for the takeover.

  • Anji

Trust many of us regular, educated people are doing that, just not enough. I procure funding from celebrities, but most just want to make an appearance (as if that works magic on youth) and don't give large amounts. Fellow alum Dr. Dre, gave 70 million to USC (also my alma mater) who didn't need it and nothing to our HS. Most just want to talk about or some here deny the crisis, but ain't many 'bout it truly.

  • Anji

No, all slaves did not have roots in Africa.

  • Anji

Hey Sis. I'm a mad black folk, just not at Obama. At us. All of us. I have attended community meetings, legislative meetings, drag myself to Sacramento and D.C. We're there, come join us and see. Most people who join in discourse here are too busy doing them and actually are in denial of our crises as it's not hitting home. It doesn't for me either. My child has been grown, I have a doctorate and live quite comfortably... but I'm steady in the schools. Obama did Obama's best. We steadily show out but don't show up. It's not enough of us. But we're there.

  • Dolemite

you no business born rat soup eatin insecure muthaphuca

  • Anji

Hey Sis. I was a "blessed" child also. I am black enough to be working in the trenches of urban America with my people. Any true warrior would never turn away anyone with the heart for the struggle. We appreciate any hands to help, any hearts to care, any minds to organize.....I don't know anything much about "almost black privilege". I'm almost an elder. We never had the privilege to start categorizing activists based on shade, higher education or life circumstance. Welcome...all...welcome.

  • Tiara

Spot on with the gay marriage. I was having this argument with someone the other day.

  • Notdownwiththesheeple

Even if Obama was one of the worst presidents to ever live causing 100 nuclear wars, banishing abortion while having a gangbang in the office with both women and men I would still say I'm proud to have lived when the first black president was chosen! There were 43 white presidents before him and you seriously want to tell me that all of them were good?

FOH! I'm glad he stayed till the end showing these MF'ers they can bully him all they want but this nigga aint going nowhere! Unlike these phuckboys attacking Obama left and right while they don't even know how many kids they have or when the first day of school starts. Now go home baby boy and play house. SIT YO ASS DOWN!

  • bella28498 .

Prez O didn't do a thing but put a black face on racism.... he was a tool for the white supremacist so they could re-enact all their vulgar behavior from slavery and all the way up to today overtly again.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

Thanks Anji. It frustrates me when we negate the "black experience" of others because it doesn't fit the "poor, disadvataged, from the 'hood" narative. Many of us do come from that background but many of us haven't. We should acknowledge that we aren't all the same but can have similar experiences in this country anyway. Why must we cause divisions amongst ourselves? My blackness (and I am clearly visibly black) has been challenged by other black folks my whole life (not anymore Thank God! Benefits of being an adult).

  • Nophace

This is the same guy that said he was going to college to major in algebra!! Can't take anything this clown says seriously!

  • Petty Patty Cakes

How people can try to argue that he isn't black boggles my mind. Starting to think I was better off before social media when I wasn't so fully aware of people's idiocy.

    Exhausting ?

  • Nophace

Talking to a wall...its pointless!! They don't wanna HEAR you

  • Petty Patty Cakes

Chile! Not one of us is black enough. Apparently being black to some people means growing up in only one type of environment and sharing only one type of experience. Anything outside of that makes you something other than black. When i was growing up apparently I wanted to be White because I spoke a certain way and enjoyed school. And this criticism was coming from other black people!

The ignorance out there is staggering.

  • Petty Patty Cakes

    This. Right. Here!

  • Floriduhh Evans

He's biracial at best. How's someone who was raised by a white family in Hawaii and went to white schools black? Because he's has a black mate, is Robert Deniro or George Lucas considered black? nO! Black is not just a skin color, we have our own culture and way of thinking, which I don't believe he embodies. One of my friends actually has a similar background to Obama, raised by whites family with a black mate and she's not black to me either. To pull it all together Obama was a good president but he was like the rest of them, ignore black peoples until you need to give them attention. We've been protesting and marching since the Civil Rightd movement, where was our change, where was out announcement? He's no different than Bill Clinton to me, wasn't he a black ? President as well, lol (sarcasm)

  • Petty Patty Cakes

Neither Deniro nor Lucas are black because . . . and this may be a difficult concept to grasp . . . they aren't black! Barack Obama is the son of an african black man. He is visibly of African descent. He is black! Neither where he grew up nor the demographic makeup of the student body where he attended school have any bearing on his genetic makeup.

Do you just like to argue moot points or are you in fact this dense?

    #NoShade #RealQuestion #InquiringMindsWantToKnow

  • FlorenceJohnston

Untrue. The Obama administration created Race to the Top which is geared toward improving low achieving schools.

It is going to take way more than Obama to turn around failing schools. Schools can only do so much when kids begin school behind and don't have stable homes let alone parental support.

  • Full Monty

Black folks just never satisfied. He need to be worried about his low sperm count though.

  • http://www.keenready.com KeenReady.COM ?

Beyond staggering and it saddens me....yup I got that same ish from my cousins. I can't fault them though...their parents ain't ish. Theyre still ratchet at 30+ old...I feel sorry for them. They know not what they do.

  • Go-Go Girlie

Trump is also a lunatic who talked about a lot of things with absolutely no idea how he plans to implement them.

  • Candance

People that make statements like that do not understand the roles and responsibilities of the president, as well as the obstacles that they face! Its sad that our first black president was controlled by people that never supported him. Compare 2007 to 2016---- HUGE difference!!!!! Because he didn't have the support he needed people like Trump are created. Sad Sad Sad. Our president DOES count as the First Black President of the United States America. We as a people should be very proud that He is our first Black President!
    #JMO #notupfordebate :)

  • BorgQueen

Thank you. I hate when black people talk crap about President Obama. Put some respect on his name. Black people are their own worst enemy.

  • LordeAmbler

If we educated our own children show them how to create value within themselves we would not have to worry about what their agenda is for us. I hate your train of thought. Like we are so helpless. We are not. In most of the school districts where black's lead in the administration they are losing their accreditation. Meaning our babies whi we beg to stay in school have to attend junior college first before entering regular college just so their diploma is recognized. This is very unproductive. And most kids will just quit

  • LordeAmbler

There is an an answer but i cant be to allow the schools to continue leading our babies poorly.

  • LordeAmbler

What are the results now. Lie and cheat to get our kids in white districts cause all wont be able to do this.

  • Soon2BWife

You don't count, my n*****. TF outta here.

  • Browneyes

    Amen to all of that

  • Taira Mitchell

When black people voted for Obama, black people thought they were getting a "savior"...yes he is a black man HOWEVER he's nobody's Marcus Garvey, nobody's dick Gregory and he for damn sure ain't nobody's Malcolm-X...he's not a pro-black leader, he's a black politician ahead
of a corporation. He can't stand up and advocate for just "his people". ALL races voted for him and we ALL KNOW THE PRESIDENT DOESNT HAVE ANY REAL POWER. Whether the president is black, white, democrat or republican, they all have the same agenda.

  • HelloToni

My granny's favorite quote. So true.
