Kierra Coles missing

The U.S Postal Inspection Service is offering $25,000 for information on the whereabouts of Kierra Coles, a 26-year-old mail carrier who went missing 2 weeks ago.

Coles was last seen on Oct. 4 near her Chicago home on the South Side. Her mother, Karen Phillips, waited two days to report her missing.

Phillips suggested Coles may have suffered from an emotional breakdown related to her pregnancy.

"Maybe something did happen where she was overcome with a lot. You know when you are pregnant you are emotional," Phillips told ABC 7. "I want to say she just went somewhere and didn't want to tell nobody and then she will just come home but I don't feel that."

Coles's dad, Joseph Coles, added: "If anybody knows anything, please call in, let us know. We love her. We miss her."

Coles was not delivering mail when she went missing. Postal Inspection Service spokeswoman Julie Kenney said Coles was 3 months pregnant.

Community activist Andrew Holmes also offered $1,000 in exchange for information on Coles, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Anyone with information on Coles's whereabouts should call the U.S. Postal Service at (877) 876-2455 or the Chicago Police Department at (312) 747-8274. Callers can remain anonymous.

  • Alextra Ballard

2 weeks? I hope she's found safe and sound.

  • @yeuphonic

She was going to go to work. She had her lunch her purse and cellphone in her car. No proof that she was the one that called off work on oct 3.
She planned to get pregnant after securing permanent work. somebody find the father (or significant other) cause he should've been first to raise the alarm.

  • Alextra Ballard

I was trying not to go there

  • Yoni7

Almighty return this lady home safely to her parents. Those emotional breaks are brutal. THIS is the season for it, people. You have to protect your heart, mind and spirit.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

Yup. I was thinking the same thing. If there's a boyfriend/baby-daddy in the picture, he's always going to be suspect #1. We've all seen stories like this before, and unfortunately, they usually don't end well.

  • Logan Roberts

Where's the father? It never fails.

  • Alicia.Ashe

I know a few people who know her they think the boyfriend did it. There was a post on FB talking about he was either married or in a long term relationship with two kids.

  • ?Patty Kakes?

    I know that's right

  • Rayne

Yea I’ve seen the fliers ?

  • Yoni7

See! I pray his fukk boi ass didn't do nothing to her and that they are safe.

  • MsSapphire9800

Another episode of "Fatal Attraction." The boyfriend didn't want the child..because he has another family....But I really hope she is okay but 2 weeks is a long time to be pregnant and missing.

  • JazzyBossyJen

2 weeks is a really a cold case for a missing person..*fingers crossed though

  • tintin

southside chicago... what is wrong with this city.

  • Quitedeliteful

Her mother, Karen Phillips, waited two days to report her missing.

    Fatal Attraction
This is what I was thinking...

  • Quitedeliteful

Oh no! I pray she is safe...

  • dontgetblocked

There's more to this story. Did the baby daddy want the child?

  • Fire & Ice

Same here. I hope they find her ?

  • Quitedeliteful

Two weeks and no word from her? This is not looking good at all...

  • Quitedeliteful

Daddy prolly didn't want to pay child support...

  • Quitedeliteful

Girls really have to be careful when deciding to have a baby. If the father is not interested it can be dangerous...

  • Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

wherever this young lady is, i hope she's no longer suffering. prayers for her family, smh

  • Renee26

Always look to the love interest first

  • Guest

Lord, please return this young woman and her unborn child home safely. Amen

  • Malcom Flex

Of course look at the baby daddy. Who benefits when a pregnant woman is missing? Him.

  • Alicia.Ashe

Same as to what’s wrong with yours.

  • KLo

the father of the unborn child may have something to do with this

  • Sojourner’s Truth

We are never given national news attention when we go missing. But when a blonde hair blue eyes goes missing it 24 hour coverage.

  • Li-Wright

This is a strange one. They have the video showing her walking past her house, pass her car and down the street and then she's gone -- poof!

  • Enoughsaid2020

Really strange. Hope they find her safe.

  • cleopatra04

This is not strange. Black women go missing all the time and it never makes national news. The only reason we know about this is because she works for the USPS.

  • Tiff J

Murder is the #1 killer of pregnant women. Hopefully she didn't meet any new friends while she was pregnant that wanted to kill her and steal her baby.

  • yoliewinecorporation

So sad hope they find her. No way in h&ll I’ll be a mail carrier in Chicago Imo they’ll have to come to the PO and pick it up. The streets are dangerous Imo

  • Junkanoo

I hope she's alright ,it's either the boyfriend or some crazy person looking to steal a new born .

  • Patricia

must be someone she knows. that is strange.

  • Patricia

baby daddy or woman of baby daddy/boyfriend/somebody elses husband shes sleeping with. theres your start, detectives.

  • Rhyme and Reason

OK!!! Someone distracted her, lured her away from her car, someone she probably knew, the usual suspects should be questioned.

    So sad!!!

  • Cricket404

I'm impressed with USPS for putting you the money. Hope she is found safe.

  • ShadesofEMPRESS

I’m so tired of stuff happening to black women and not getting any coverage. It is crazy. White women get their coverage.

I have a feeling the bummy baby daddy or some crazy chick did it.

cops move slow but, if that fatal attraction show is any guide to detective work, they are likely already on it with the phone logs and surveillance and such. by the time we see a person arrested, theyll have a case and evidence piled up against him/her.
2 weeks is too long. i think shes gone.

  • bklyngirl11233

Prayers they find her alive and well!
