Ruth Bader Ginsburg

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized after breaking 3 ribs during a bad fall in her office at the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Ginsburg, 85, fractured three ribs on her left side. She was admitted to a hospital for observation.

The court issued a statement on Thursday morning, saying Ms. Ginsburg fell in her office and went home to rest. But she experienced discomfort overnight and went to George Washington University Hospital on Thursday morning.

This is not the first time Ginsburg has broken ribs during a fall. She also broke 2 ribs in June 2012, but did not disclose her injury to the public.

Ginsburg is the oldest justice on the Supreme Court and the second of four women to serve on the court.

Her ongoing health issues are a cause of concern for her supporters who fear that President Trump will soon have another seat to fill on the Supreme Court.

Worried Ginsburg supporters took to social media to offer their ribs and other internal organs to keep her alive until Trump leaves office in 6 years.

In July, President Trump appointed Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. But his confirmation was delayed by the Democrats who claimed Kavanaugh assaulted multiple women while he was a teenager in high school.

Two of the accusers have since walked back their accusations.
