Rapper Future is in hot water after he reportedly denied entry to a plus size woman at his rap concert at a Miami nightclub.
Canadian plus size model and “body activist” who goes by the username @Nao_Seych took to Twitter to complain that she was denied entry to Story Nightclub in Miami to attend a Future concert because she was plus size.
“THIS IS TRUE FUTURE AND STORY CLUB IN MIAMI ARE DENYING BIG GIRLS AT THE ENTRANCE!! STOP SUPPORTING THEIR FAT PHOBIC ASSES. POSTING THE STORY TOMORROW.”
One Twitter user replied, “South Beach Miami clubs don’t like big girls… I’m not surprised.”
Some nightclub owners do discriminate against plus sized women, but rappers rarely have control over who club owners let into their clubs.
Nightclub photographers are routinely told not to take photos of “fat girls” or “ugly girls” partying inside clubs.
That’s why you rarely, if ever, see any pictures of plus sized women in nightclubs. It isn’t that they aren’t there, it’s that club owners don’t want them to be seen in pictures because they could drive customers away.
