Actress Zoe Kravitz cautioned her fans not to follow the example set by former model Chrissy Teigen who injected Botox into her armpits to prevent excessive sweating. “The Big Little Lies” star says she is “terrified” by the beauty trend which is sweeping social media.

Chrissy Teigen shocked fans by injecting Botox into her armpits to stop excessive sweating. But Kravitz says sweating is too natural and a necessary bodily function.

“That is the dumbest, scariest thing I’ve ever heard,” Kravitz told Vogue. “Don’t do that. Sweating is key.”

Her comments come just days after Teigen shared video footage on Instagram of herself undergoing the procedure at Dr. Jason B. Diamond’s plastic surgery office in Beverly Hills last Tuesday, Aug. 13. She never explained why she underwent the procedure, saying only that she sweats a lot.

“BOTOXED MY ARMPITS,” Chrissy captioned the video footage. “TRULY BEST MOVE I HAVE EVER MADE I can wear silk again without soaking woohoo!”

Sweating is necessary to detoxify the body, improve skin tone and improve circulation. It is also crucial to keep dangerous bacteria and viruses in check. Without sweating, bacteria will have a field day in your sweat ducts and on your skin.

Sweating profusely is annoying. It can occur for a variety of medical reasons. It is usually not normal to sweat excessively unless you are obese, very active or constantly in a hot environment.

Excessive sweating can be caused by thyroid problems, hormonal imbalance, diabetes, infection, obesity, and more.

If you sweat excessively for no apparent reason, you should consult your doctor to determine the medical reason.
