A New Orleans judge initially declined to approve an arrest warrant for misdemeanor sexual battery against NFL star Odell Beckham Jr for butt slapping a cop.

The incident occurred during a post-game celebration in LSU’s locker room after winning the national title at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Louisiana on Monday night.

When Beckham Jr. spotted an officer bending over, he couldn’t help himself. He stared intently at the cop’s buttocks before delivering a hard slap on the cop’s butt.

According to AL.com, the police officer told LSU players they could not smoke cigars inside the locker room. But another officer allegedly told the players it was okay to smoke in the locker room.

Nola.com reports that a judge declined to approve the warrant because it was for misdemeanor sexual battery. The judge later approved an amended warrant for simple battery.

The judge’s action prompted outrage on social media among #MenToo groups.

Police officers are outraged at the double standard for a celebrity football player. One officer wrote on Facebook: “If one of us butt slapped a female reporter, we would be fired!”

On Friday’s episode of Atlanta’s daytime talk show Sister Circle, co-host Rashan Ali, 2nd from left, argued that Beckham was being discriminated against because he is a star wide receiver.

Her co-hosts (L-R): Egypt Sherrod, Quad Webb and Trina Braxton agreed that a man touching another man’s buttocks without consent is not a crime.
