Paris Fashion Week is in full swing over in France. This past weekend we saw catwalk extravaganzas by fashion luminaries such as Balenciaga, Givenchy, C√ČLINE, and Valentino.

But as usual, the best ready-to-wear styles are on display on the streets of gay Paree.

I’m not a fan of the Christian Dior Spring 2017 ready to wear collection. Artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri made her debut for Dior at Fashion Week. Her fencing-inspired designs were too quirky and her feminist theme consisted of too much lace and lingerie for my taste.

Superstars Rihanna, Kate Moss, and Jennifer Lawson were the notables sitting on the front row.

Paris Fashion Week

If you missed your flight to Paris to attend Fashion Week, don’t worry, your auntie has you covered all this week.

Anthony Vacarello made his Paris Fashion Week debut on Tuesday for Saint Laurent. Vacarello called on some of the hottest young afrocentric models in the fashion world to introduce his Spring 2017 ready to wear collection.

While some complained that the collection was “too basic,” others raved about the understated elegance of the new line.
