3 Dead in Meningitis Outbreak in LA’s Gay Community

A deadly meningitis outbreak in Los Angeles has claimed the lives of 3 men in the gay community, the LA Times reports.

The LA County health department announced earlier this week that eight cases of invasive meningococcal disease have been diagnosed in the county so far this year

Officials said 4 of the cases were men who have sex with men. 3 of them died. The county will provide free vaccinations to those without health insurance.

A similar meningitis outbreak spread rapidly among promiscuous men who practice unsafe sex with men in NY in 2013.

THe NYPD shut down a store that was set to sell the new $250 Supreme/Nike Air Foamposite sneakers on Thursday.

Police dispersed about 300 sneaker heads (mostly blacks and Hispanics) who lined up outside Supreme New York on Lafayette Street Thursday morning. Most of them were unaware that the NYPD cancelled the sale of the colorful basketball shoes.

Army Staff Sgt’s Search for Missing Son is Over

Jose Mangual

13-year-old Jovan “JoJo” Mangual’s name has been added to the list of known victims who were crushed under tons of mud, trees and rocks in Oso, Washington’s mudslide on March 22.

JoJo’s body was found in the mudslide and officially identified on Thursday.

JoJo’s father, Army Staff Sgt. Jose Mangual, showed up at the site every day, wading through the debris looking for his son.

“I want to be there, I want to find my son. I wouldn’t do it any other way,” he said in an interview with CNN Monday.

Mangual searched through mud that was 70 feet deep in some places. “Of the five deployments I’ve been on, nothing compares to this,” he said.

Body Identified As Missing Stripper

Angela Rabotte body found

A body found in Lilburn, GA has been identified as missing 26-year-old stripper Angela Rabotte aka Climax. Rabotte dropped her 3-year-old daughter off with a friend before attending a party in Atlanta Friday night.

She was last seen at the Steeplechase Apartments in unincorporated Norcross about 6 a.m., the Atlanta Journal-Constition reports.

A man was taken into custody in connection with the case earlier this week. Rabotte’s friends say the man was the last person to see the dancer alive.

Top Atlanta Deejays DJ Cannon, DJ Drama, DJ Sense and DJ Trauma were in attendance to show support.

Honest is scheduled for release April 22 on Rocko Da Don‘s A-1 Recordings (Epic) and Future’s own Freebandz imprint label.

30-year-old Future is expecting a baby boy with singer Ciara Harris, who is due to deliver any day now.
