T.I. and Tiny influences the popularity of baby boy’s names

According to a list of popular baby names on the Social Security administration’s website, the fastest-rising baby names for American boys are King, Messiah and Major.
Coincidentally, King, Messiah and Major are the names of 3 of rapper T.I.’s four boys.
Did T.I.’s hit reality TV show, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle, contribute to the surge in popularity of his son’s names?
Not according to acting Social Security Commissioner Carolyn W. Colvin, who clearly doesn’t watch the show.

Single mother Kimora Lee Simmons, 38, landed at London’s Heathrow Airport today along with her three kids, Aoki Lee Simmons, 10, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, 4, and Ming Lee Simmons, 13. Kenzo’s father is actor Djimon Hounsou, who dumped Kimora last year. The girls’ father is media mogul Russell Simmons, 55.

Troubled singer Rihanna is finally over Chris Brown. According to a report in Chicago’s Sun Times, Rihanna was upset at a recent interview Brown gave, saying he wouldn’t wife someone as young as her. At 25, Rihanna is a year older than Brown.

Anna Wintour is not playing with Kim Kardashian.
Kardashian’s sperm donor, rapper Kanye West, 35, reportedly begged Vogue‘s 63-year-old Editor-in-chief to give Kim a chance to attend the ultra swanky 2013 Met Gala earlier this week.
But Kim, 32, decided to show up to Wintour’s respectable gala wearing a floral sofa slip cover. The disrespect was too much for the fashion maven who once compared Kim to a pair of socks.
Malcolm Shabazz, Grandson of Malcolm X, Dies

Malcolm Shabazz, the troubled grandson of civil rights icon Malcolm X, has been killed in Mexico, the U.S. Embassy there confirms.
The Amsterdam News reports that Shabazz, 28, was thrown off a rooftop after being shot during an attempted robbery on Thursday, May 9.
“I’m confirming, per U.S. Embassy, on behalf of family, the tragic death of Malcolm Shabazz, grandson of Malcolm X. Statement frm family 2 come,” tweeted Shabazz family friend Terrie M. Williams on twitter earlier today.

Man Says He Was First to Rescue Amanda Berry

A Cleveland man says he was the first to rescue kidnap victim Amanda Berry from a Seymour Avenue clapboard house where she and 2 other women were imprisoned for over a decade.
Angel Cordero is staking his claim to the $25,000 reward money offered by police for information leading to the whereabouts of the missing girls.
Charles Ramsey, the neighbor credited with rescuing Berry, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that the money should go to the three kidnap victims, Berry, 27, Gina DeJesus, 24, and Michelle Knight, 32.

Sultry actress Kerry Washington (Scandal) adjusted the hem of her garment on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of ‘Peeples’ presented by Lionsgate Film and Tyler Perry at ArcLight Cinemas on Wednesday. In the film, Kerry, 36, plays a down-to-earth woman who’s afraid to introduce her “average” boyfriend (Craig Robinson) to her snobbish, upper crust family (yes, we’ve seen this plot line numerous times). Peeples also stars David Alan Grier, S. Epatha Merkerson, Tyler James Williams, and Melvin Van Peebles. ‘Peeples’ is the first movie written and directed by Tyler Perry underling Tina Gordon Chism.
