Janet Jackson has apparently recuperated from her mystery illness enough to go back on the road, according to a statement released by her tour promoter, Live Nation:
Janet, who has been under her doctor’s care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever”. Her first concert post-recovery will be on Saturday in Uncasville, Conn.
Janet supposedly fell ill during sound check in Montreal last week. She was rushed to a local hospital where she was treated for dehydration and released two hours later.
Jan’s brother Randy reportedly said Janet was diagnosed with Vertigo (dizziness). But we knew better than that. First of all, Vertigo is not a disease, it’s a symptom.
Plus, Randy is now claiming an impostor posted that information on a Michael Jackson fan site and that he’d never talk about his sister’s health on the Internet.
Janet canceled a string of concerts including a show in Atlanta, leading to ridiculous speculation that Janet was pregnant. Janet is much too self-absorbed to be pregnant.
Phoenix, a close friend of the Jackson family, blamed the promoter, Live Nation, for the string of cancellations due to poor ticket sales.
“They are pulling out due to bad ticket sales. Janet might have been one of the greatest pop icons in her time. But Janet Jackson, at 42 years old, does not have the same appeal as in ‘89 with ‘Rhythm Nation.’ Other artists took that throne — Ashanti and Beyonce. This is what you call a publicity stunt.” (Source)

Yesterday I told you that the IRS may be looking into that $1 million birthday gift Lil’ Wayne received from his mentor/daddy Birdman, aka Baby.
Well, Myra Panache agreed with us:
Sandra Rose was right when she reported that the IRS would be inquiring about the $1 million dollars in cash (above) that rapper Lil Wayne received from Baby during his birthday celebration. IRS officials are reportedly not only looking into this but they are also investigating celebrities who don’t report club appearance fees that can range from $1,500-$10,000 per night.
What Lil’ Wayne probably doesn’t know yet is that a cash gift over a certain dollar amount is considered taxable income.
So if Weezy is in the 30% tax bracket, he owes the IRS at least $300,000 in taxes on that “gift”.
Will Uncle Sam come knocking on Weezy’s door for his share of Weezy’s million-dollar “gift”? As Sarah Palin would say, you bet’cha!
I wouldn’t be surprised if Weezy claims this was all a publicity stunt and the money went back to it’s rightful owner.
Remember when Oprah gave away those cars on her show? Well, the audience members ended up owing the IRS $6,000 in taxes on each car. Those audience members who couldn’t afford to pay the taxes were forced to sell their cars.
Oprah, who lost touch with reality a long time ago, assumed that her audience members were affluent enough to afford the taxes. Bless her heart.
Oh, and that cash you see rappers stacking in music videos and movies is fake. The US Gov. doesn’t allow real money to be photographed or filmed.

A pizza worker and others have been caught up in a federal voter scandal probe involving ACORN in Cleveland.
ACORN is a community-activist group that seeks to register low-income voters, who skew overwhelmingly Democratic.
Christopher Barkley, a Domino’s Pizza worker in Cleveland, is now facing questioning by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections after his name turned up “10 to 15” times on voter rolls. He claims he was harassed by ACORN workers who were paid by the name to sign up voters.“I kept getting approached by folks who asked me to register,” Barkley told The New York Post. “They’d ask me if I was registered. I’d say yes, and they’d ask me to do it [register] again. (Source)
Another Cleveland, Ohio resident, Lateala Goins, has also been approached multiple times by ACORN workers.
“If you get off the bus in downtown Cleveland, ACORN workers are everywhere,” she said. “There are at least 5 ACORN workers to every one of you.”

A Georgia woman has caused quite a stir in her neighborhood with a political Halloween display she erected in her front yard.
The display features the likeness of both presidential candidates, only, Obama’s likeness has the spectre of death looming over him.
The display was built by Melissa Neese, a McCain supporter, who explained why she shouldn’t be dismissed as just another rabble-rousing redneck from the deep south:
It’s kind of like the shadow of death behind Obama. We’re kind of more of McCain advocates. It’s just to encourage people to vote. That’s about it. I haven’t really finished it [display]. I was going to put pumpkins and a vote sign up there.
Were it not for her explanation, I never would have thought that was an angel of death behind Obama. I would have assumed it was a likeness of David Letterman patting Obama on the back for being on the fast track to the White house.

Here’s the most-hyped magazine cover this year. Angelina Jolie-Pitt is on the Nov. 2008 cover of W magazine breastfeeding one of her twins (Knox or Vivienne). The cover was photographed by longtime partner Brad Pitt (you can tell an amateur shot the cover). Click the cover to see the pics of Angelina breastfeeding her baby.

According to gossip columnist Roger Friedman of FOX 411, Beyonce’s label is attempting to “strip away her glamour and glitz” to prove that she is just like you.
In the stark black & white photo posted on the Z100 website, Beyonce stares blankly, her bare face showing no emotion. Her usual over-the-top image muted. Her lacefront wig dull and lifeless.
Another part of the marketing ploy was for her label to release two singles simultaneously yesterday.
Friedman theorizes that Bey’s label purposefully held back the release of her two singles so that Bey would miss the “Grammy deadline by eight days” in a move that would favor Alicia Keys who is in the same label conglomerate as Bey.
The label feels the public is growing wary of Beyonce and it’s time for Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson to shine.
I almost feel sorry for her. But she’s going to be alright. She needs to take a few years off to have her babies and work with a voice coach, then come back on the scene after we’ve had a chance to miss her.

Hi all. While surfing the Internets, I spotted this cover of Newsweek featuring a smiling Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
There’s an uproar brewing over the line “She’s one of the folks - and that’s the problem.” But for the life of me, I can’t figure out why everyone is so upset about that line.
Can someone explain the problem to me and to others who might be equally as confused?

Lil’ Wayne celebrated his 29th birthday at a Miami nightclub on Tuesday night. But his mentor and “daddy” Birdman couldn’t come up with a suitable birthday gift to give Weezy, who already has everything.
Invited guests DJ Khaled and Akon looked on as Baby handed Weezy a suitcase stuffed with a million dollars in crisp hundred dollar bills. Witnesses say Lil’ Wayne was overcome with emotion as he threw his arms around Baby’s neck. But, surprisingly, the two didn’t share a kiss — at least not at the party.
I’m sure the IRS will be happy to see these photos though! That cash will come in handy when Lil’ Wayne hires lawyers to fight income tax evasion charges.
Earlier in the day, Lil’ Wayne, Akon, Young Jeezy, Khaled and others shot a music video on South Beach.
Happy birthday to the little troll!
