Stars lost millions of fake followers after Instagram went on a house cleaning rampage yesterday in what is being called the great Instagram purge of 2014.
A member of the much-maligned New York Police Department is responding to the ongoing protests against police shootings of unarmed black men. The cop is snubbing protestors by selling t-shirts that read: “Breathe Easy, Don’t Break the Law” — a mocking spin on Eric Garner’s dying words, “I Can’t Breathe”. Garner is the NY man who was choked to death by a NYPD cop who put him in an illegal chokehold.
Stand-up comedian Jon Stewart took offense to Fox News pundit Seah Hannity calling crack dealer-turned-rapper Jay Z a “former crack dealer.”
R&B singer Bobby Brown and his manager/wife Alicia Etheredge attended GB2 Wednesdays at The Abbey POP UP performance by JIMIJAMES in West Hollywood yesterday.
Scorned and ridiculed rapper and music producer T-Pain is back with a new song called “Let Me Thru”, featuring Lil Wayne and minus the tags from an earlier version. Listening to T-Pain rap with such authority on this track makes one wonder why he even used auto tune as a vocal crutch in the first place.
Rap star Nicki Minaj is the new face of Roberto Cavalli. The petite rapper appears in ethnic images taken by Francesco Carrozzini for the Italian fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2015 campaign. The company said in a statement: “The tribal dance of Nicki Minaj enchants the lens, while the heat of the sun and the powerful colours inebriates the mind.” W magazine also featured Rihanna in similar tribal costume and war paint for its controversial September 2014 cover. I guess Nicki declined the war paint.

One-hit wonder Bobby Shmurda and his entire crew of hard legs were arrested in a New York undercover task force sting. Apparently the NYPD infiltrated Shmurda’s clique and caught him and his boys red-handed in the possession of drugs and unlicensed firearms. It didn’t help that some of the guys were convicted felons.
Actress Tia Mowry is not going to like this: a major photo wire service named Cory Hardrict BEFORE HER in a photo caption. At one time Mowry, 36, was a bigger star than her husband of 6 years. Now she must play second fiddle to him! Tia and her twin sister, Tamera (who co-hosts The Real), were child stars of the popular hit TV series ‘Sister, Sister’. The photo caption reads:
‘American Sniper’ actor Cory Hardrict and his wife, actress, Tia Mowry are spotted at LAX in Los Angeles. Mowry, who starred in ‘Sister, Sister’ was seen with braids and torn jeans.
Like I said, Tia is not going to like this. Narcissists are very sensitive about things of this nature.
