Arsenio Hall and Queen Latifah’s new talk shows are off to a great start. Both shows scored the highest debuts of the season. The Arsenio Hall averaged a 1.5 rating/6 share last week and The Queen Latifah Show delivered a 1.7 daytime rating among households. Only Katie Couric’s debut topped ‘The Queen’ as the highest daytime debut in the last 4 years.

Paula Deen staff

Celebrity chef Paula Deen has been fired from the Food Network after she admitted using racial slurs in a videotaped deposition.

Earlier today, Deen released an apology video pleading for forgiveness from her fans. In the video she seemed bewildered — as if trying to read from cue cards. That video was removed from Deen’s website and replaced with an even stranger video this afternoon.
