Like it or not, Rihanna is the new IT girl. Her beauty and charm can’t be denied. Marc Jacobs, the designer behind Louis Vuitton is so smitten by the singer that he designed a new line of bags called “The Rihanna”. The bags retail for $1,650-$2,075 each. (Source)

I think Rihanna is a beautiful young lady, and people only hate on her because of that whole Beyonce and Jay Z thing. But whateva, she is fly. Allow me to hate on Ri Ri for just a bit.

How sure are we that she is this fabo fashion maven and just didn’t find a great stylist this time around???

When she was asking the Dj to come pon the replay (or however that song went) chic was not fab and fell into play with everyone else.

I’m pretty sure its the stylist who is fab and probably plans the chics wardrobe from dusk till dawn.

Don’t know why people mention Rihanna with Beyonce. Rihanna is a pop superstar and fashion icon. The only thing she and Beyonce have in common is that they’re both black. She doesn’t make music Beyonce makes so why compare?

most of the icons you see Madonna, Diana Ross etc have stylist. There is always someone in the background. Now Im not sayin that Rhi rhi is gonna be an icon, its just she is a celebrity and it is a given that she isnt responsible for styling herself. Many stylists for example like Rachel Zoe create a look, like the one she created that Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie had that bohochic trend a few years back. The stylist dont get on the best dressed list,the artist does. So maybe ( hopefully)your not hating on Rhianna, maybe just unaware of the role of a stylist!

wow Rihanna. good for her. but i also think it’s so weird for ppl to compare bey and rih. i think folks just like to start something. they are not comparable. beyonce is a better performer and singer…besides that they have different music styles.
and yes most artists have a stylist so when you see them out and about you can thank that stylist for the loved or hated look. but what helps rihanna is that she has a fab body so many clothes look great on her.

I hate to give you bad news Sandra, but this bag was inspired by a white model and he just changed the color and the texture of the bag. It was not inspired by Rhianna but by this model. I cannot think of her name right now but when it comes to mind I will let you know ASAP! Rhianna is a pretty girl but she looks like the average chick, so what is your fixation with her?????? When you are also ways dogging Alicia and Beyonce(I am in no way a Beyonce fan),but they are both just as pretty and average looking as Rhianna.

@NyNy the model’s name is Jessica Stam. The Stam Bag was created and named for her, I think in 2005 and now he has created and named a bag for Rihanna. The way another site posted this article, made it seem as if one of the bags in the photo was of the Rihanna and the other the Stam bag. The two bags in the photo were of the Rihanna bag, they are simliar but have different textures and coloring and of course the price was different. The Stam Bag IMO looks nothing like the Rihanna bag.

LOL ummm no I know the role of a stylist ( I have my very own but we work hand and hand together on my style) and that’s my point. If someone is picking out my clothes for me who’s the icon then??? Because I wear what I’m told that makes me hot.

You can get a feel of who has an actual say in their style and dress (ie Kelis, Erykah Badu, Kanye West) and those are the ones who deserved to be recognized. Not some chic who knows how to follow directions after an industry meeting on how we’re gonna make you the Black Madonna!!!!

In other words it just seems that her whole style is forced. Come the next album…who will she be?

I’ll give it to Rih Rih, most of the times her style stays on point. I just think she should give up singing and become a model. I believe she has everything it takes to become a top international one. Well wait, I don’t know her height but, as far as weight and looks goes, she does.

Rihanna is really pretty, but yes that is just a different finish on the Stam bag ( I should know I own 2 a black one & a cream one). BUT Rihanna is a beauty but I really just wish she would stick to modeling & not continue to “bless” our ears with her “wonderful” singing. She has style, just not talent!!! NEXT!!!
