Hey Sandra, I’m giving myself a shout out for sending this video to you on Saturday. Chanj’s four range octave is amazing! I’ve never heard any male singer reach an octave that high & strong. Not even D’Angelo, Philip Bailey, Musiq or Maxwell can touch him.
I remember waking up out of a dead sleep, when he was on! There was a YT chick on b4 him singing an Anita Baker song. She was aiight, but I kept going in and out of a comatosed sleep.
But then I heard this dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like damn he was the best thing to hit the stage since Lyfe appeared on there. I sat straight up. He was the truth.
When Lyfe did amateur (sp) night, as soon as he walked on the stage, they boo’d him. He sat down, grabbed his guitar, sang his song and if I’m not mistaken, walked off the stage like “Sexual Chocolate” did in Coming to America when he was finished. The crowd was left drooling on themselves and sittin on his feces, cuz he shitted all over the Apollo theater. LOL
Although the dude can obviously sing, I think he’s more of a stage performer than a album singer. Sometimes good singers and performers don’t translate well on an album. I think it’s the combination of being able to hear him and see him that makes this stand out more because personally I didn’t think his lower range would have even caught my attention if I just heard him sing.

I agree. I wasn’t overwhelmed by his voice, but his presence on stage is very powerful. I couldn’t stop watching.

Nah not jealous at all, I did after all say the man can sing. I was referring to Sandras statement about A&R’s being on their job. Further more I am more than appreciative of people with talent but I also know that everyone that sing doesn’t always translate well onto recorded music. I do originals so I’m not trippin. I write/arrange/sing/rap/produce and record my own music so I understand the talent and hardwork it takes for real artist to produce music. That’s why I tend to bash artist that look like E.T., can’t sing and is basically are a product of everyone behind them doing all the hard work.
So when are we gonna be able to see you or hear some of your stuff!!! That way Sandra Rose can take all the credit for discovering you(lmao) Seriously you have a nice voice & I know it’s hard trying to find the right people that won’t D*** you so good luck to you, I may be chatting with the next Pharell!!! (I hope u don’t get offended I only said Pharell cause he does all those things too!!)

Nah I’m definitely not offended. I think Pharell is a great musician, but my all time favorite is Timbaland by far. I’m getting ready to work on getting a studio album done and will definitely let you all know when that drops. I always got stuff on the MySpace though. I’m just trying to get Seattle on the map cause no one comes here looking for talent and it does exist here. I gotta start being nice to Sandra so she can name drop me every couple of days too…I’m sure there’s some big time A&R’s scouting this blog.
