Who knew Janet and Bobby were kicking it like that?

I was so ready to ignore Bobby Brown‘s upcoming book about his drug-fueled life with Whitney Houston – until I read that Bobby and Janet Jackson used to be love birds. What? When did that happen and how did their relationship slip under the radar? Or am I the only one who didn’t know about it?

About Jackson, Brown says he never abused alcohol as much as he has until his relationship with the ‘Rhythm Nation’ singer hit the skids: “I can recall that I started drinking heavily when Janet Jackson and I broke up,” he writes. “Before I met Janet I would never drink hard liquor, I only drank beer. But after our break up, I started drinking hard liquor abundantly. I took the way our relationship ended very hard. Not to say we were head over heels in love, but she was someone I had a lot of feelings for. Besides, we were young and naive. I was only about 19 or 20 years old. Young love is no joke!” (Source)

yeah they broke up sometime before bobby and whitney got together…i remember bobby shouting janet out after one of his performances, but didnt know they were serious, just thought it was one of those things!

Man I gotta stop reading these exerpts (sp?). They are ruining the book for me. I will be picking it up the minute it hits books stores.

In the mean time I am camped out on TMZ watching the live stream outside of Jay-Z’s apartment. I can’t believe how excited I am about this wedding. If they don’t get married I’m going to be heartbroken.

Bobby is going to milk this book as much as he can. Yesterday the buzz was he slept with a thousand woman. Was he trying to compare himself to Wilt Chamberland(sp). You know he did not wrap it up each and every time. I am surprised he does not have a disease.
And Janet sure can pick em. Bobby and Jermain. I know love is blind but shouldn’t you have a mate that compliments you and not look so scary looking.

I just…well, I just can’t help thinking how WEAK Bobby is making himself sound. Blaming Janet for this, Whitney for that. Is he really that easily influenced? I mean, he just sounds weak-minded to me, and that’s not exactly an attractive quality in a man. In anyone, for that matter. A real man/woman takes responsibility for his/her own actions…

i’m thinking people close to her had that nipped quick, i mean shit, look what the outcome was with whitney. now he’s writing a tell all book?? bobby, just get a job. the rest of us with regular jobs dont like it as a way of life, but damn, at least we wake up/sleep with our pride and dignity. all of this he doing is too extra.

Janet is pretty and a little less talented ( did anyone catch her “break down” on Why Did I Get Married? that had us thinking why did she get the NAACP award?). Bobby Brown looks gross and makes the skin on the top of my knees itch. Ugh!

He was not scary looking when they dated. We’re talking about a young Bobby Brown not this old cracked up version. I mean Bobby Brown was a big star and the hottest New Jack Swing artist out there. He was young and was considered a sexsymbol back then. He had women all over the place, so Janet dating bobby Brown in the late 80s early 90s is no surprise. I’ve heard this rumor before though.

I read in an unauthorized Janet book back in 1995 that Janet and Bobby had a fling for a few months when she and Rene Elizondo had a brief split and when she got back with Rene, she broke it off with Bobby. She also messed around with Robert Deniro shortly before she got with Bobby during that time.

He also says he and Madonna did the deed. In his time Bobby was THE MAN!! Don’t Be Cruel won album of the year, I think he won quite a few grammys and AMA’s during that time.
