The ongoing AG vs. So So Def Clash of the Titans After Parties took a strange twist on Sunday night. You see, Jermaine Dupri‘s Studio 72 had the Official Kanye West: Glow in the Dark Tour After party all sewed up with the main man himself slated to host.

While across town, Ag Entertainment’s Velvet Room played host to Pharrell Williams. So why did Kanye skip Studio 72 altogether and party the night away at the Velvet Room instead?

If there’s a bigger diva than Beyoncé in show business, it would be Kanye West who was a no-show at his own after party sponsored by Absolut Vodka. You see, Absolut pays Kanye a sponsorship fee to appear at their after parties following every show.

Absolut lays out about $40,000 in cash to rent out nightclubs and practically redesign the interiors with their own DJ booth and lighting.

In Atlanta, JD’s Studio 72 was the chosen spot for the Official after party. But 1:00 AM came and went with no Kanye. 2 AM went by and no Kanye. 3 AM came and went – still no Kanye. Where was he? At spots that he wasn’t paid to be!

I’m told Kanye showed his face at the Hollywood Nights Celebrity bowling joint at 300 Bowling Alley around 1 AM. But no one knows where he was between the time he left the bowling alley and 3 AM when he finally showed up at the Velvet Room to party with Pharrell, Young Jeezy and Cee-Lo Green.

Word is the Absolut Vodka reps were left cooling their heels at Studio 72 while Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment was smiling from ear to ear at the sound of his cash registers ka-chinging at Velvet!

In the end, both JD and Alex won the Clash of the Titans After Parties because JD was paid a grip by Absolut for the use of his Studio 72.

Absolut Vodka lost big time.
