As I’ve been saying all along, Barack Obama will be the Democratic Party nominee. Tonight, with Obama winning N. Carolina and Indiana too close to call, Hillary Clinton doesn’t stand a chance.
But I still say Obama will not defeat John McCain in November. A man of color will never be president of these United States in our lifetimes. But the victory is in winning the Democratic Party nomination – a feat no other person of color in history has been able to achieve.
Oh, if Martin Luther King Jr. were alive to see this day!
I am in Raleigh NC and we gave HILARY her A** tonight. OBAMA 08! They called Hilary for Indiana at 23,000 votes 51-49, so she needs to start packing but she will continue to raise that 5 million she put in back. They threw the Kitchen sink at him and the Rev. Wright issue and he survived. He better get the NOD from the DNC or blacks will not show up in November or there will be a mass exodus from the Democratic Party. Good staying up Sandra!
I don’t know Sandra. Obama can win in November with the right VP (not Hillary) and the Democrats running the tables balls out for him. Conservative Repubs hate McCain and another number of them think McCain is about to die. If Obama can take the low road for a minute and tell the truth (smear) about McSame…we may witness history…for how ever long it lasts. We will all have to join intecessory prayer teams to keep Obama alive though (my opinion)- either way, I will never vote for Hillary for anything, including school board. LOL
i know they got out the black vote in nc in huge numbers. i dont think america is ready for a black president, but i think hillary on the tick will get him some votes. the south is still very republican an other than picking bill or hillary clinton maybe the gov of virgina, i dont know if any person could give him one state in the the south.
If Obama can defeat Hillary who has essentially been campaigning since her husband was in the White House , McCain won’t surivive Obama either.
Obama may indeed be the first black man to be elected president of the United States!!!!!!!! Man, don’t that sound nice? I’m 54 years old and never imagined in a million dreams that it would happen in my lifetime, a black man president. Lord have mercy Jesus. But Obama will have the world on his shoulders: war, gas costing $5.60 a gallon, mortgage criss, monster storms from global warming, volcanoes erupting, earthquakes in VA, babies having babies. What can we do to help him in these times of chaos? STOP THE HATING AND STOP THE KILLING and every thing else will fall right into place. (Ain’t it way past time?) The Bible says that the ones on the bottom will be on the top and the ONLY way to do this is with LOVE for each other leading the way. (Don’t get me to preaching here.) As always, I leave you in peace.
Ok, I’m trying to stay positive, but I agree with you Sandra, I don’t think that Obama will win over McCain in November, but we will surely see. I am a Obama Supporter all the way!!! I hate that he lost Indiana, which is where I reside (Indianpolis), but overall I just have this doubt in my heart!!!!!!!!! All I can do is pray!
Even though I’m Hilliary supporter I just want a Demorcrat in office and for some reason I dont think Obama will win the General Election.
Hillary’s stalling her campaign today. O’Reilly and Hannity: EAT CROW!
The whole network is probably going into uncontrollable anxiety fits.
I an Obama supporter, but I don’t like how Fox News did him on the Rev. Wright issue, and the way the Clintons introduced the race card. But I can surely appreciate this unprecedented accomplishment Obama has made.
sorry, I an Obama supporter should read: I am not an Obama supporter
OBAMA 08
Now ABC is recanting the story that she is taking the day off to meet with staffers and party honchos…lol, ABC must experiencing right now.
I think it is really sad to hear people, especially people of color, say that we are not ready for a black president. America is not ready for a black president? If not now, when? Uf blacks always held on to this view then there would be no Martin Luther King that you spoke of Sandra. There would be no Thurgood Marshall (1st black Supreme Court Justice). There would be no Douglas Wilder (1st black elected Governor…of mostly white VA). There will always be FIRSTS…but we have to get out of our own way and stop saying it won’t happen. YES WE CAN!
Guess I’m too excited I can’t even type properly this morning. ABC must be feeling the same shock and awe that Fox is experiencing this morning.
Woo Hoo Obama! Yes We Can!
AKAtastrophy1908 Says:
Conservative Repubs hate McCain and another number of them think McCain is about to die.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
McCain won’t survive 4 years in the White house. He looks anemic and unhealthy. I’d like to see his medical records.
I am supporting Barack all the way to the Oval Office!!!
YES WE CAN!!
OBAMA ’08
@ Mr Mr
I totally agree with you…We as people of color need to realize there is success in numbers…history speaks for itself…by joining together we accomplished great feats…so yes there can and will be a black president…I admit I too was skeptical about Obama, but after taking time to listen to his views..he’s right, it is time for a change..and I strongly believe he is the one to make the change. Come people pull together
@Sandra
I been thinking the same thing the repulicans will pull out tricks that make what the Clinton’s did look like love taps. I voted for Edwards because I thought he had a better chance the Hillary or Obama in the General but no matter what I will support a Dem.
Hip Hip Hora! Hip Hip Hora! Hip Hip Hora! Hip Hip Hora!
I was having such a crapy day, until I saw this clip. I haven’t been flowng the race as of late do to the expected let down of the bias media. So to finally hear something other than Rev. Wright that is positive gives me hope.
I can see Sandra’s point but I’m trying to remain positive regarding this.
Yeyyyyyyy,this is great news. I am so happy I don’t know what to do and here I thought that 95% of the time, we only come together when we are tearing each other down, glad to know I was wrong.
well the good thing is that no one’s opinion really matters at all – it is your VOTE that counts. and if you don’t vote, then you shouldn’t even be allowed to voice an opinion. and stop saying that there will never be a black president sandra – the power of life and death is in the tongue (and in this case your finger tips)you sound like the other uncle ruckus type of defeated coloreds
