Kanye West is still feeling the sting of being booed at the Bonnaroo music festival last month. The “Stronger” singer plans to make sure the odds are stacked more in his favor at the Global Gathering music festival in the UK this weekend.
Knaye is filling 18 coaches with over 1000 members of his entourage to occupy the first 4 or 5 rows at the main stage where he will perform on Friday. Kanye hopes his friends’ cheers will drown out the boos that are sure to fill the stadium when he hits the stage.
The rapper is also having his own stage built – which he used as an excuse to explain why he was two hours late appearing at the Bonnaroo festival last month.
A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, “A huge amount of planning has gone into Kanye’s performance and fans won’t be disappointed.
“To ensure the show goes to plan, no-one else will perform on the main stage on the Friday night.
“It is being built especially to his specifications. There will be 18 performers and £100,000 ($200,000) worth of lights put in place.”
