As I told you yesterday, actor Morgan Freeman, 71, and his wife Myrna Colley-Lee, 67, are calling it quits after 24 years of marriage.
Colley-Lee had consulted with a divorce attorney last month after Freeman’s extramarital activities with one of her friends came to light.
According to a friend of the ‘Dark Knight’ actor, Freeman and his wife of 24 years, costumer Myrna Colley-Lee, have called it quits.
Mississippi-based attorney Bill Luckett told US TV show Access Hollywood the couple “are involved in a divorce action.”
Luckett adds that “for legal and practical purposes, [Freeman and Colley-Lee] have been separated since December of 2007.”

Freeman and Myrna’s former friend, 48-year-old Demaris Meyer were seriously injured Monday night when Freeman, who was driving Meyer’s 1997 Maxima, lost control of the vehicle and it left the road, rolling several times before landing in a ditch in Mississippi.
Freeman is recovering from a couple of broken bones. The extent of Meyer’s injuries are unknown.
According to sources, Colley-Lee has not visited her estranged husband in the hospital since his accident.
