Beyonce appears in a new ad for L’Oreal which doesn’t exactly make hair care products for black hair. But that’s neither here nor there.
I don’t pretend to be an expert on lacefront wigs or weave – even though I do wear the very expensive invisible fusion extensions. But does L’Oreal make products for lacefront wigs now? Um, do you even wash lacefront wigs? I thought you just shake them out when they get dusty.
DEAD @ “I thought you just shake them out when they get dusty.”
You aint right.
I wish to God that somehow that was really Bey’s hair and she could just part it and get in your face with, “Look B-TCH, LOOK! I am GROWING this ish!”
But …. ~sigh~
I have ALWAYS thought that when I see Beyonce on those L’Oreal commercials…Bee knows damned well she isn’t using L’Oreal products!!!
NO way! How is B on anyones ad acting like THIS is her natural do??? Had it been any other manufacturer AND celebrity, I MIGHT have believed it, but in this case-No.

So in other words the ones that comes from the Horse’s tail you shake out.
The ones that comes from Donkey’s Tail is more exensive invisible fusion extensions ? ? ? ?
ok that clearly looks like a wig!
LMAO Sandra!
You gon get a knock on your door, and it’s gon Beyonce & Solange saying “COME OUTSIDE SANDRA!”
I guess she’s pumping their dye or something?
I always thought that them hairstyles in the commercials (like Loreal & Pantene…hell even Dark & Lovely) be weaves and wigs…but you right, they don’t really make products geared towards black women too much.
LOL
LMAO @ Sandra saying she thought they just shake them out when they get dusty! Freakin classic.
I knew L’Oreal was a bunch of lies, always putting black women up there with wigs, weaves or whatever. That pic makes Bey look like a doll ( not real at all). Was that really her?
It’s the COLOR that they are promoting!
LOL
I can’t believe they dyed her wig…..I think that Loreal is trying to make our sisters believe that they too can get the same color Beyonce got.
LMAO as I am writing this…this is a trick to get the black woman’s money….that ad says to me:
“Yes, you too can get the same color as BEYONCE!”
In reality, you really can’t, b/c Beyonce bought her hair like that!
LOL LOL LOL
Is the problem that it isn’t Beyonces real hair or that black women can’t use Loreal products??
I am a black woman who uses Loreal products…
My hair is 4b/relaxed MBL..
Maybe you all should visit long hair care forum…just a suggestion
yeah, youre right. this is false advertisement. thats not her hair!!! i guess you can use it on lace front wigs!
I love Bey and all BUT am i the only one who noticed that she looks like a white woman here??????????????
is it just me? She looks alittle, umm, Pale!
Miss R 2008,
The problem for Sandra (LMAO) is that she don’t like Beyonce….The problem for me with Loreal is that they are misleading black women, got them thinking that they can get their hair like Beyonce’s….Loreal didn’t do nothing to her hair for this ad but flatironed it.
Is your hair like Beyonce’s?
But does L’Oreal make products for lacefront wigs now? Um, do you even wash lacefront wigs? I thought you just shake them out when they get dusty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you are dead wrong for that comment sandra..lol – i’m not a bey fan..but, real or not…L’Oreal keeps cutting those checks to her…so, there you have it.
Loreal is trying to get blacks to buy their products by putting Beyonce in their ads…..
It’s called Marketing.
This is not the first time B has done Loreal ads.
What is the big deal. I am black and have used Feria by Loreal many times. The salon I go too in VABCH uses all Loreal color. I dont get the issue here. Hallee Berry has also had Loreal color ads . So, What is the big deal?
Oh i know just another shot at B.
One more thing, what is the difference in infusions and wigs, and weaves, none of it is yours. If it didnt grow from your own head it aint yours, no matter how expensive.
So, why talk about LF wigs if your hair aint yours!
photoshop is a killer cuz that does not look like bey. she looks whiter in this particular ad. that is not targeting african-americans if you ask me.
Need I say more?
Beyonce’s Head = Big Booty
L’Oreal deal nets diva millions for ten days work
AUGUST 18–Beyonce Knowles’s hair earns more than you and your friends combined. The pop singer’s five-year endorsement deal with L’Oreal is worth a maximum of $4.7 million and requires the 22-year-old star to work just ten days annually (though the company can ask for two extra ten-hour “service days” at the bargain daily rate of $25,000). Along with the ten days worth of photo shoots, promotional gigs, and personal appearances, Knowles must apprise the cosmetics giant of “any radical changes to her hair any concert tour may necessitate” and has to maintain her luxurious auburn locks “in excellent condition.” She declined, however, to make appearances “at a store or other retail location or spaces otherwise open to the public.” Knowles can’t go near Revlon or Clairol products and must maintain “approximately the same physical appearance and health,” so bloating up on “juicy baked chicken” is a no-no. The lucrative contract, a copy of which you’ll find below, also gives L’Oreal the right to actually inspect Beyonce’s hair as long as she gets two weeks notice. And if she has to travel more than 50 miles from her crib for L’Oreal work, Knowles is guaranteed first-class ground and air transport and hotel accommodations for four people. Signed in February 2001, the L’Oreal deal’s initial term covered two years and included three separate option years (the firm has exercised the first two of those options, with the third option year, worth $1.08 million, scheduled to begin April 15, 2005). The L’Oreal contract surfaced earlier this month in connection with a lawsuit brought against Knowles by Wilhelmina Artist Management, which claims it has been stiffed on commissions it is owed for arranging the endorsement deal. Seems like Loreal is pumpin it like it is, but I think all the hair people (Pantene, Dark & Lovely, Optimum) use this type of advertising (it’s actually called deceptive advertising) to get folks to buy their products….some people actually buy stuff (especially hair products), b/c they want to look like their favorite celeb, who’s speaking for that product.
I think Loreal tried to come out with a makeup line for black women, using Halle as their spokesperson.
I think this is a classic case of “BUYER BEWARE”. You will not come out looking like Beyonce, but Loreal hopes that you will think that, so you could buy their shyt.
That is a very photoshopped Bey.
They must use wigs – there are 2 Pantene commercials in particular that come to mind where they have the black lady or the white lady walking down the stairs into a party with the EXACT same waves… that HAS to be a wig that they are using on the black and white chick…
The fact that it IS Beyonce makes this targeted to African Americans….we know she’s as black as the day is long, and so many women try to copy her look…..
I wanna know how Loreal checks to see if she uses Revlon or Clariol…do they have a “different product” detector? LMAO
CHING CHING to Beyonce though…I’d be up there too with my wig on talking about: CHEESE! Take another one, I’mma flip my hair to the other side…CHEESE! I’mma turn around and look back..CHEESE! CHEESE! CHEESE!
LOL LOL LOL
Loreal test on animals so I don’t support them anyways.
LOLOLOLOL. JUST shake them out when they get dusty. wow wow wow. that is hilarious.
Sharonda, That is why they using Beyonce….100% HORSE HAIR!
…….off to the corner I go………
Wouldn’t it make the history books if all the young, black Hollywood/rapper/hip-hop women wanna-bes would go natural–no wigs, no extensions, just all natural? It’ll never happen, Hollywood types are just too fake and too vain to be real.
I really LIKE Bey mainly because I STILL Really want to SMASH-that-AZZ but she’s the Sellout-Queen and will do ANYTHING for a major-buck…
At least she’s get that trait honestly (from her parents)
I love me some Bey too and I hate these jokes about her, but “shake them out…dusty.” That was too funny. I literally LOL…they walking ’round here like, boy what you laughing at in there.
Her nose looks funny in the AD…Her features have definetly been lessned.
SHe helluv looks like a white woman. Is she THAT dayum yellow???
Most hair ads feature models w/ weaves thats why I pay no attention to the visuals, just the ingriedients
Please! Don’t none of those stars use that sh!t they be pushing to us common-folks! Anything you can buy at WalMart- TRUST- They AIN’T using!
However, I’ll take a Loreal color kit over a Dark & Lovely any day! I don’t know how many times them “Black Hair Care Products” flucked up my hair! I’m all for equality, but there’s just some sh!t you got to leave to White folks!
Sandra says:
Um, do you even wash lacefront wigs? I thought you just shake them out when they get dusty.
Probably not, people on blogs would tear them up a helluva lot more than they do now. Look at her edges, she need a perm, put some make up on her……………
Just a few comments regarding various people that I’ve read on this site. I’m sure it’s worse on others
LMBAO @ sandra…..
And it is false advertising, esepecially if its not her hair…..
ROFLMAO @ HUN…..effin classic…..lol
And why does she look so darn white. If i hadn’t known better, i would of thought it was one of the whyte actresses or sumthing…………..
^^^^
That’s what I wanna know!
Sandra I thought the same exact thing when I saw the picture!!
I do agree that she does where wigs alot, but she does have hair. If you look at old photos of her, her hair has always been long. The wigs are probably a necessity. Her real hair is probably damaged as hell from years of damage. She did start performing when she was young as hell. I believe she has long hair. In her ring the alarm video, in the scene she’s crying, that looks like her real hair, damaged as all hell.
*wear* my bad
The point is not Does she have hair, point is that is not her real hair in that pic and if they expect ppl to buy that hair color atleast let the hair be real instead of some 18inch #33 pre-dyed pre-packaged weave tracks..
I just scrolled back up, actually thats about 30+ inches of pre-dyed tracks.hahaha
hmmm will Mizzani and Soft Sheen are all owned by the same company that owns Loreal..so I guess they DO know something about black hair..simply go to Loreal’s website..the info is there
^I’m looking, they should just gave her Weave Care instead.
Sandra you wear fusion extensions and Beyonce wears lace wigs…so all we’ve really established here is that both of you are probably bald underneath it all anyway so can’t you both just get along?
that really dosen’t look like Beyonce.. hey Sandra why don’t you show us a picture of you in your very expensive invisible fusion extensions!!!
would love to see em!!! lmao…
WHEW!!! LOL suga_stix
you said what I wanted.. hilarious, pure comedy!!
she looks like a white woman and i dont’ like it.
Sasha McCreole Beyowulf Carter would kill me if she knew how hard I laughed @ ” Um, do you even wash lacefront wigs? I thought you just shake them out when they get dusty”
I’m sorry Beyaweh.
serious question, if she’s black, why is so white in the ad? And yes I know she’s light-skinnedededed/Creolian.
sandra i gotta say u r funny on this one. dang!
BUT i have to admit i thought the same thing. does loreal think we are dumb?? c’mon now. color for a lace wig? now that aint right. now it could be true of course but we know in real life that most of these big companies use hot celebs to better market and sell their product. even though the celeb may never use the product, it works. so be it. we know advertising is a lie in many cases…so why get so shook up. Loreal aint foolin’ nobody and i sure as hell think they know it.
