Not everyone is swayed by Senator Barack Obama’s smooth talking and suave demeanor. This black delegate is concerned about Obama’s lack of experience. Exactly what did he do for Illinois during his term as a senator?

I would give my opinion but it aint gonna be nice so I’ll just keep it to myself!!
Disgraceful !!!!
she says “I saw in Hillary what my potential future could be” SHE DONT SEE THAT WITH ELECTING BARACK OBAMA…get this lady on meds!!!
She needs to shut the fuck and sit her dunb ass down some where ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
How did this crazy emotional b**** become a super delegate?
LMAO LMAO she was very emotional for Hillz……LMAO
But to answer Sandra’s question, What Obama did for Illinois as Senator is the same thing the other 49 states of Senators did for their states.
What did Bush do before he became Pres? Does anybody know what he did for TX as governor.
They put Bush in there, they can put Obama in…..
“No way, No how, No McCain!”
-Hillary Clinton
I gotta ride with her on that one…..LOL
And what did the Terminator do for Cali LMAO I’m just saying!
she’s just passionate about this election that’s all. i’m a hillary supporter and i like obama…but, after that speech she gave last night..he should be kicking himself in the a** for not choosing her as vp. just my opinion yah..no need to take it personal…lol.
I agree the main reason most of you like obama is because hes black and not because of what he has done i mean what has he done as a senator, i have absoloutely no idea, i have no idea what he stands on many issues. All i know is hes a celebrity becaus ehes the first black man(half at that) to get anywhere far and have a chance at becoming president…. Hes a celebrity not a very good politician in my honest opinion. HIlary wouldve been better
THIS DELEGATES PERORMANCE VIDEO SHOULD BE FILED WHERE SOLDIER GIRL’S VIDEO IS…..
So who is she voting for then….McCain? Someone who is developing alzheimer’s disease and is MAD old….someone who could care less about her black @$$ once he gets in the office??? Please….black people crack me up tearing Obama down like they got someone else to vote for who will be SOOO much better….haven’t they learned from having Bush in the office? Republicans don’t care about black people, and apparenlty Bush didn’t care too much about the economy period. They need to WAKE UP.
they was giving this fool the bidness this am. im sure she was never a democrat to begin with. im sure this was a plot by the republican party to rain on obama.
PERFORMANCE
Smh at what has he done for Illinois…like someone else said wth is Arnold doing for Cali? What did Bush do for Texas??? Shoot what did he do for the U.S.??? Put us in a recession THAT’s what….I’m not hearing that “no experience” crap. How do people think you GAIN experience? And I’m not all for him just cause he’s HALF black as someone else has mentioned. I don’t want another repub. in office…PERIOD.
^^ The terminator didnt/aint doing shhh for Cali, I know, I live in the capitol.Atleast his ass cant be Prez, since he’s not a natural born citizen. This lady is all sorts of crazy. She is saying just what certain YT folks need to hear to not vote for Obama. (If a black woman that happens to be a super-delegate does not want Obama in why should they) .SMH @ people like her and Jesse Jackson that gets on camera saying the dumbest shhh. #9 I agree that would have been a great ticket.
You know what? We love to say that the people who diss successful celebrities are “haters” who are “crabs in a barrel”, but this time the black people against Obama are REALLY crabs in a barrel.
I mean really – why are they so against the man? If anyone actually took the time to WATCH THE NEWS or read they’d see that most of Obama’s work has been in support of programs that only benefit US. They’d see that most people around him have been and are BLACK. If negroes were astute enough they’d hear Obama’s undercurrent of BLACK UNITY. He can’t shout it from the rooftops right now bc he knows that YT will hear and won’t vote for him. And, at this point he needs YT bc there are so many self hating n!iggas out there who aren’t even going to vote for him.
I want to know this — do these negroes really think that McCain is a better choice? Because if you don’t vote, McCain will surely win. Are you really that upset about a black man and black family excelling that you can’t bring yourself to vote for him? Really? I mean are we that STUPID? Are we really, as a people, that ignorant and clueless about the importance of this event? Is the self love THAT low?
Who gives a fat damn if Barack doesn’t have 30 years of experience? Do you people not see where all of the experienced white politicians have gotten us/America? Do you really not see that? Do you really think that you will have the same results in 4 years that you’d have with President McCain as you’d have with President Obama???
My people. My people. It’s a disgrace.
@ Smokie
I AGREE WITH YOU 100%
Ok, all the while I was watching the video, I was sucking my teeth in and shaking me head like – what the F*** is the crying for. What the F*** has Hillary done for her as a woman, showed her how to stand by her man after he gets sucked off and the whole world knows about it. Or how to make up stories to make herself look brave or seasoned. What Hilary did last night, is what Barack did 4 years ago at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. She set the stage for 2012. I live in Chicago and I can honestly say that I had not heard of Barack before his powerful speech 4 years ago, but after that speech, I immediately knew he was presidential material. Maybe if Hilary would have given a presidential speech prior to the primaries, we would have a different situation, but I still don’t trust her. But I’m BARACK, all day, baby.
One more thing…she kept saying she won’t vote for McCain, she won’t vote for McCain. Doesn’t she know if she doesn’t vote for McCain or Barack, she isn’t helping the Democratic party at all. I’d revoke her delegation status.
We are all entitled to our own opinion. He does not have a lot of experience but I don’t care he is a Dem and he has my vote.
Don’t she know gas is too high and we need to bring our troops home?
and ban me. I don’t care. I’m sick of all this foolishness and self hate.
Smokie, I hear you girl. I agree with you wholeheartedly…
^^ Obama (if elected) will not immediatly be able to bring the price of gas down or bring the troops home.He will work on it Im sure, ASAP, but ppl need to understand if he gets elected its not like he’s a superhuman to get things done intantaneously. But if McCain gets elected, gas will continue to go up and up, the troops will be there for awhile with no-end in sight.
*instantaneously*
I AGREE WITH SMOKIE 100%
@ Candi21
COSIGN. People are looking at him like he’s the Great Black Hope and that just isn’t true. Even if he gets elected, he won’t have carte blanche…no President has absolute power…actually, I should say no AMERICAN President. This is a democracy, not a dictatorship. Plus he has to keep EVERYONE happy, not just us Black folks.
I think that there will be alot of unsatisfied folks (primarily Blacks) once he is actually elected and gets down to the business of running this country, because they’re expecting much more than he can possibly deliver. I do believe he’s the lesser of the two evils, and he has my vote, but I’m not completely sold on him. He IS a politician after all…and it’s not self-hate, I would have looked at Hillary the same daym way! LOL! Just my humble opinion… =)
You know what I’m tired of people hiding behind the excuses of experiences and the “who is he” question. Something great has come upon the horizon not because he’s black but because there is a changing of the guard of not just politics but hopefully a new transcending way of thought and ideas in America. Maybe a way that could help Americans get through the “isms” (sexism,racism,age-ism,skeptism,etc.) and start to have real conversations or dialog with each other about the problems that we face in the future because the future is about all of us. The future is about children the we have or will have, our friends and families children, our parents as they get old and need care, schools with increasing drop out rates that need funding and the abolishment of “No Child Left Behind”, your friends and you who can’t pay one bill because you have to pay another, gas that will never see 99 cents ever again, toxins in the air that have increased asthma cases by almost 10 million cases since the staggering figure of 2002 of approx. 30 million cases in the US, and it’s about making sure people that have there lives for us in a war that they shouldn’t have been in can have us the people they fought for will fight for there families to survive in the US when no one else will listen. Idealistic maybe. But let’s get real, right now. So, who is he? Simple he’s Barack Obama, Democratic Presidential Nominee. As for worrying about his experience (for the Hillary voters who still can’t find it in themselves to vote for Obama, someone whose policies are similar to hers, and don’t really get the fact that another Republican Presidency would be catostrophic to the poor and middle class. Oh yeah! If you are for abortion or not. Pro choice will be out the door and probably some other civil liberties.), if experience is really what is questionable then why isn’t Joe Biden the Democratic Nominee? Obama=4 yrs. in the Senate, Clinton=8 yrs. in the Senate, McCain=26 yrs. in the Senate, Biden=35 yrs. in the Senate. Now let’s just hug, be respectful, and those damn Republicans OUT!!!
what perplexes me about black folks against Obama is this; wtf has any other president done for black people? why are black people (those that r) so against this guy?
A lot of blacks were banking on Hillary getting into the white house to further their careers like former BET owener uncle tom “Bob Johnson”.. So it’s not all about their undying love for Hillary..Some of our people had planned on riding Hillary coat tail straight to the top but since that didn’t happen their true colors ar showing.
Tell ’em Smokie. Just saved me alot of typing.
Plz someone zip her lips up.
It is so unintelligent for any woman particularly a black woman to deliberately not exercise her right to vote simply because she doesn’t agree with a candidate. This is the same type of person that will complain when McCain gets in office and the economy worsens. Here’s the deal, Democratic or Republican you have to get out and cast your vote or the world as we know it will never change for the better. This is the most historical campaign that this country has ever seen or any country for that matter. You are ignorant to sit there and watch it go by and not get involved. Yes it is your choice but it is also your right. A right that you or our people have not always had. We cannot ignore that. For or against Obama – you have to have a voice and vote. Right now that is the only way to show that our vote as women, black or white matters in this country. If we don’t vote, then Hillary Clinton will never get to be president even in 4 years if we don’t vote. If we don’t vote, minorities will fall backwards, if we don’t vote we are slowly killing ourselves by allowing the white man to believe all things are status quo. The good ole boys network. You know, the same ole white boys voting for the same ole white boys. We are women that have a vote that cannot be heard if we do not exercise that right. This is serious people. Democratic or Republican, you are a woman that MUST be heard by voting.
For those asking what has he done since he’s been in the Senate, my question for you is have you been to one of his rallies, town hall meetings or been to one of his OFFICIAL websites where his platforms on all the important issues are broken down in great detail. What we see on the “news” are soundbites designed for entertainment and ratings. If you want to KNOW (root word of KNOWLEDGE) what the candidate is about, then do the research and learn for yourself instead of just repeating what you’ve read on other blogs. He has more legislative experience than Hillary (state and U.S. senate positions) and if you don’t think community organizing is gaining experience and learning how to challenge the status quo, then I challenge any of you to turn down a six-figure income and walk a mile in Barack’s shoes.
As has been stated on numerous entertainment and serious news programs, the differences in his and Hillary’s platforms are miniscule, at best. That’s why the debates became boring and were turned into “gotcha” games and attempts to garner ratings by the “news” outlets…because the two are so similar on the issues that there wasn’t anything substantive to be debated!
As far as the poster from Illinois who claims he/she never heard of Barack even though he/she is from Illinois…does anyone on this blog know the name of EVERY single congressman (Republican or Democrat) from their district or state – highly unlikely because unless it’s an issue that DIRECTLY affects OUR daily lives in a substantial way, we don’t give a hoot who wins elections or represents us in Washington DC. People, stop listening to FAUX News, CNN, MSNBC and the like…that’s not real news. It’s people’s OPINIONS and those opinions aren’t always based on FACTUAL information. Check out C-Span for factual news…not soundbites and opinions.
***steps off soapbox***
Soulja Girl is that you????If you don’t know what Obama has done, it’s a known fact that maybe you should READ.A.DAMN.BOOK.It’s called reading for understanding.Black people get it together. We don’t need Adults Left Behind white people already think we dumb ass fuck anyways.I guess black people are so use to be taking orders from white people that they don’t know what to do without the master.I pray for my people.
It’s all wrong when a person that most of us can identify with a man who knows struggle.I, me, identify with Obama and if you ever voted before you tend to vote for the person who you identify with.I, me don’t identify with McCain.McCain will literally shit on me when he get in because his ass isn’t going to help me out. Also, I don’t want my dad going back overseas for a another long period of time while he is retired (the government is sending him letters asking him to get back in the military and to go overseas and my dad is 52 years old and disabled and they sure don’t care).Whites been doing it for years and it’s no problem.Hell why not play the game they been playing for years.
……….and the OSCAR goes toooooooooooo
Nobody is experienced in being President, until they have been President. One monkey don’t stop no show. In the worlds of Gary with the tea – MOVING ON!
Sandra has some self defeating, self hate issues (unless you are talking about being dark skinned because she reps her hood then). Whatever. Anyway, I find it hard to believe that anyone who supports HRC or the Democratic Platform can support McCain. People who do that have no idea what these candidates stand for or are not concerned. Too many emotions are involved. this is a BUSINESS decision. Obama is exciting and fresh and we have been waiting for someone relatable, exciting and representable of a new generation. If he not being and old, stuffy, filthy rich, condescending candidate makes him a “rock star”, so be it. McCain and the Repubs are knocking that becaue nobody is inspired in that party. They are OLD, Bitter and Boring.
While we are worrying about what Obama hasn’t done, let’s take a brief look at what McCain HAS done:
1. McCain voted against “Equal Pay for Equal Work” for women in the workforce. When asked about his stance, he said that women simply “need more training” instead of more money. Currently women make .60 on the dollar compared to men in this country. Vote for that! Yeah right.
2. McCain voted against the “Violence Against Women” act that funded shelters, support groups and rehabilitation for victims of domestic violence and abuse. I guess the money was better suited for an unjustified war.
3. McCain voted against the MLK holiday. ENOUGH SAID.
4. McCain is against Roe v. Wade. He said that he plans to appoint enough SC Justices to make abortion illegal. Mind you, the Repubs don’t care much for medicaid but want to force women with unwanted pregnancies to be mothers who will likely have no insurance and, if he has anything to say about it, no medicaid. In the same breath he failed to explain why he did not support birth control being covered by insurance while he was all for Viagra being covered. YES, you read right! Birth control isn’t covered BUT Viagra IS because of buffoons like McCain.
5. McCain is bringing back the DRAFT! Yep! When he kills off all the current troops and no one wants to voluntarily sign up for the Republican’s biggest money maker- WAR- then he his gonna go after our beautiful little boys- mine is 3. If you are not filthy rich, your son is going 1st and then we will REALLY have something to cry and shake about!
6. Last, and trust me- I could do this all day- McCain, who never fails to remind us that he is prisoner of war, DID NOT support the GI BILL- TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess because he has always been wealthy and didn’t need the promise of government support to help the troops when they come home so he didn’t feel like anyone else did either. Ugh!
Y’all know he cheated on and left is disabled wife for plastic surgery poster child Cindy Lou (who still hasn’t released her tax returns so we can see how much he personally gained from this war along with Dubbya and his Dick) so he could give a damn about disabled vets or anybody who need healthcare. He supported the war, made fun on more than one occasion of new wars he is interested in like “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb IRAN” and has also made threats against Russia. This election is NOT about HRC. The more we do the smoke and mirrors thing, the more we will suffer at the hands of the Republicans. Let’s be rational..I’m spent. That is all. Stop hatin (Sandra) and open yall’s eyes before we are knee deep in shit!
speakinmymind Says:
As far as the poster from Illinois who claims he/she never heard of Barack even though he/she is from Illinois…does anyone on this blog know the name of EVERY single congressman (Republican or Democrat) from their district or state
__________________________________________________________
Umm, was this statement for me, because I clearly stated that BEFORE his 2004 DNC speech, I had not heard of him. Since then, I definitely know who he is and what he’s about, I could even drive you past his house. **Real fast though…Secret Service ain’t playing that.**
Apparently this woman doesn’t know that sometimes in life things don’t go your way. Even Hillary has moved on, but this lady wants to act like Obama in the White House will be the worse thing ever and she’s a delegate! She’s not for the cause, she’s for the candidate, her candidate Hillary. If she had respect for Hillary she would’ve listened to Hillary speech, but no this lady cuts a fool on national televison, she gives the GOP power by her stupidity. I respect her personal choice, but she needs to grow the hell up! What kind of example is she? I hope she doesn’t have kids. United we stand, it won’t be easy because Bush set the next President up with major problems to fix, but better united then divided.
Adding to my statement..
Since people love to question why most are voting for Obama, why should we vote for McCain..if that why should have we vote for Hilary because she was Bill’s wife?I hear people say because of her “experience” really, what experience because most of those policies when she was in the WH with her husband was her husband’s and not hers.So she has experience in the Senate, so does Barack. They both done amazing things in the past for the community outside of the Senate (if you read something about them you know what I’m talking about).Really, Hilary and Barack are equal.Even John F. Kennedy had not much experience, but while he was in the WH he done ALOT.I mean if it wasn’t for Kennedy sending those troops to the south when he did there will been more lynches and shit like that.Nobody really has good expreience until they actually do it.It’s like going to an interview and you have no formal training, you convince them you can do the job.Duh.I thought people knew that???Oh well..initially why should we vote for McCain?
Smokie was right on point. Also I am so sick of people always talking about experience, Hilary has not been a politican that long she was just married to one. Black people like this lady is the main reason we will never rise as a people because we have our own holding us down. Also I don’t live in Illinois and half of the people asking what has he done as a politican don’t live there either, and don’t even know what their senator has done.
where did they get this steppin fetchit from? did she miss what hilary had to say a few short months ago about hardworking white folks? B^%&H Please…NEXT
I am with you trina… and another thing, for those that say they don’t know where Barack stands on policies etc. READ A BOOK…LOOK the S%^T up…are you waiting for Hiliary to tell you???
@ msmika31
yes…and no. yes, because i’ve read on a lot of blogs that he hasn’t done anything for for his home city and/or state and that people who live in Illinois claim they’ve never heard of him, and so that must mean he hasn’t done anything, which is untrue. And no because I wasn’t trying to be rude/harsh (sorry if it read that way). I’m just frustrated in general that people keep repeating the Republican talking points that ‘he doesn’t have any experience’, ‘we don’t know anything about him (code for he’s a nigga and can’t be trusted)’, he should wait his turn and be Hillary’s VP’, etc. All of which is just plain bull$hit!
i just watched that $hit again!! That b!tch just makes my @$$ hurt! crab-in-a-barrel @$$ negros wouldn’t know reality if it walked up and slapped them in the face. Hillary lost, fair and square…let it go people, let it go!
@speak and @AKA… Truly Outstanding comments
@brn and @pure… I concur
And I refuse to let ignorance-n-stupidity among OUR people get my blood-pressure going because there will ALWAYS be stupid-n-ignorant individuals among US…
The majority of this foolishness is Systematic anyway and it’s up to US that are enlighten-n-intelligent to spread and share our knowledge to those that will listen!!! And hopefully the true unity that we strive for will occur for the betterment of our community as a whole
Whatever!! She is not even a good actress!!! OBAMA 2008!!!
Thank you Sandra for this video clip. I have been searching for this since I painfully watched this the other night on CNN. I could not beleive it!!! I am still speechless…. words can not describe the anger and shame that I felt watcing this live on television. Shocking!!!!!!!!
like, i get the fact that this woman is ridiculous and all but why is it so hard to accept that some people simply thought that Hillary was the better candidate out of the two for WHATEVER reason? Because I don’t necessarily agree, that makes me a crab in a barrel? I have never said anything negative or disrespectful about Obama and he now has my full support but DAMN! it wasn’t Hillary that tore the party apart, in my opinion it was the Obama supporters. Don’t be so quick to discount Clinton supporters because those same people who were “stupid” to support Clinton still have to pick someone to vote for. Although I fully support Obama, he was not ENTITLED to my vote because we are both black. He has to earn it like every other candidate.
