Don’t get it twisted: if Obama wins the election MICHELLE will be your new president. We definitely know who wears the pants in that household.

Obama 08.
Can you take the McCain ads DOWN???
Yep, women really run the show behind the scenes, so technically Hilary has already been president twice already..
In most relationships i believe women really run the show, and we just let men think they running things, and stroke their egos so their feelings won’t be hurt and all..
i agree sandra. i love her. she is so classy and smart and just all of that. but don’t get it twisted–shelly is still from the southside of chi town and i bet you money she can put a cuss down on somebody.
she is what we all need. somebody to keep him and the rest of the country in line.
Yes we do know who’s running the show & wearing the pants.. None other than Barack Hussein Obama
Sandra I couldn’t agreee more. Women having been holding down the fort from the beginning of time. We control everything. The men are the breed winners and we are the thinkers.

thats so damn true, cause Bill was to busy thinking with the other head.
Behind every successful man Buh-lee me there lies an even stronger woman.
have you ever thought about the fact that the Obama marriage is how God intended marriage to be? You need to stop the subliminal attacks…
you betta say it zeezy4sheezy!! Michelle is no doubt a strong woman but Barack is da MAN!!
i cant wait for change!!
Some of you are either really bitter or totally misinformed about marriage. Marriage is about balance and if you follow Biblical principles, then the man is always the head of the household and the woman is the helpmate. Being a submissive wife doesn’t mean your husband is bossing you around, it means that you show deference to his role as head of the household in ALL things.
It’s not about whose running the show – it’s about being supportive and accepting of each other even when you disagree. I talk to sooo many single Black women and single mothers who are angry at ONE Black man and take it out on EVERY Black man. If you want a successful relationship/marriage, you can’t get caught up in ALWAYS being right, being as strong or stronger than your man, ALWAYS having to prove your point…that whole “I can do anything you can do” mentality. It’s almost like we forget the true purpose of marriage. The strength of a woman is in knowing when to speak up and most importantly, when to be quiet. 99% of the time, if we would just shut the hell up, a man will come to the same conclusion or decision we have but we nag, whine and raise hell because he won’t see it OUR way from the jump…then have the nerve to wonder why he tunes you out or rolls his eyes everytime you open your mouth.
I didn’t mean to go in this direction but I hate it when people always ASSume because a woman is strong that she must be running the relationship. Strength comes in many forms and as I’ve said before, only those two people in that relationship really know what’s going on. Stop the negativity!
Speakmymind … I am feeling ALL of yout posts so far ..
I’m not married .. never have been … and yet I find it EXHAUSTING to always be the strong .. independant .. always fighting and snapping … it gets old after awhile.
@speakinmymind you….betta….preach! *ESP* about the part about taking it out on every black man….when i got into the relationship that i am in now that ended up in marriage i was one injured, hurt, sista. honey it took YEARS for my husband to heal the wounds. some are still open. i had to learn to be submissive when it was called for (like you say just learn to shut the hell up sometimes!! : )
and @kym i feel ya. by the time he came around i was just tired. always fighting, snapping, gurl just exhausted.
yall stay stong.
Sandra…why is it that at a time like this you are being so damn NEGATIVE! It’s like you can’t stop hating on other blacks folks that are doing good and important things. Get over yourself or the cause that made you like this.
sorry…strong.
IT’S DEFINATELY TIME FOR CHANGE, MY PEOPLE.
I WILL BE VOTING. I CANT WAIT!
Man, after his speech, I cried a lil bit…like I’m so proud that I am an American. I can recall all the ol’ stories from my grandparents about how life used to be back in the days of hate. All I do now, when Obama speaks, is just smile and think about how far we have come. I can feel the change, and I’m loving it.
thanks kymystry…that means a lot to me. just continue to pray for HIS will in your life (not your own cuz you know we mess it up EVERYTIME!) and ask him to prepare you mentally, physically and spiritually for the man HE has created just for you. We gotta learn to move out the way and let HIM run the show in ALL areas of our lives ALL the time. It’s easier said than done but you know the scripture…”ALL things are possible through Christ who strengthens us” (may be not word for word but you know which one i’m referring to)
@ kwallace577, i feel ya girl! why do you think i can speak on that – cuz i been through the fire and then some!
W/e….yes we can!!! yes we can!!!
@ Speak.. gurl .. I thought my eye watering was done last night … (smilin) … thanks again
Gotta love the SR Fam.
