NBA star Dwyane Wade, 26, has finally spoken out about his impending divorce from wife Siohvaughn, 27.
The former Siohvaughn Funches was Wade’s high school sweetheart and the only serious girlfriend he ever had — until now. Wade and Siohvaughn have two sons: Zaire Blessing Dwyane Wade, 6, and Zion Malachi Airamis Wade, 1.
Siohvaughn found out the hard way that it’s hard for a brotha to stay faithful to his wife while on the road with so many groupies lurking in the cut waiting for that team bus to pull up to the hotel.
Since divorce proceedings were filed last year, Wade has been linked to tennis star Serena Williams, reality show star Vanessa Simmons and (who else?) Gabrielle Union:

Sometimes high school romances work out, but most of the time they don’t. At least he tried to hang in there for a minute I guess. As for all these women he was “linked” to, none of them seem credible. I think you are so right, my child’s father was my high school sweetheart and at this point in life the only reason I can accept any part of him is because his sperm assisted in the creation of our child. Other than that I can’t stand the ground he walks on. People grow and change and although it may seem sweet and fairytale like … people really just grow apart. Him being an athlete with $ added FUEL to a FIRE that was likely to BURN anyway. As long as Siohvaughn has something going for her own self, I am sure she will be fine. He doesn’t seem like the type who won’t take care of his kids so I am hoping the media respect their privacy.

well we don’t know the REAL reason for the breakup….i know i don’t cuz i wasn’t there. but i agree with the above about high school romances. i broke up with my BF who i was with at the end of my senior year and he was in 11th grade…we were together for 6 yrs but we broke up a year ago.
it wasn’t anything he did, i just wasn’t into him anymore and i felt like i was only staying with him because people were used to seeing us together and i was used to being in the relationship. and i knew i wasnt into the relationship for a long time but part of me was used to it and i didn’t wanna be alone (finding someone new is scary). But those are definitely NOT reasons to stay in a relationship..I wasn’t really happy in it anymore so I had to be true to myself and end it.

I don’t condone cheating ever, there’s no a reason for it, it’s hurtful and deceitful, and cowardly. It’s totally unncessary when all you have to do is break ties….i just don’t get it.
