Naomi Campbell blames American doctors for not diagnosing ovarian tumor

Now that ex-supermodel Naomi Campbell has convinced a Russian billionaire to take an interest in her, she desperately wants to have his kid so she’ll be set for life.

But Campbell recently learned she had an ovarian tumor that prevented her from conceiving.

The 38-year-old British supermodel has revealed US doctors failed to diagnose the condition forcing her to head to South America for treatment.

Naomi – who previously claimed she went to Brazil for surgery to remove a cyst from her stomach – said: “In America they missed my symptoms. I was in pain for months. So I went to Brazil where they have wonderful doctors.

“They discovered an ovarian tumor that had burst and caused infection. They operated and now I can have children, God willing.”

I fear for any child that Naomi has. The woman is not stable.

I think doctors often miss cysts in the ovaries and uterous. I have two friends who always went to their annual check ups learn waaaay late that they had huge cysts growing in them, both of which required major surgery. One had a hysterechtomy (sp?) and she doesn’t have any children. Actually neither has children. Those cysts are no joke.

I agree most american Dr’s are not the bizzness!! I have personal bad experience dealing with them, they say blacks dont go for health care but in reality some of the doc’s dont give 2shts. I had to switch from male dr’s to all female drs in a bid for some understanding and willingness to perform certain test and RX correct meds. AS far as Naomi wanting to be a mom, we are not all able or motherly but it hasnt stoped scores of women poor or rich from concieving…….

At a certain age or family history a good doctor will do a ultra sound on the uterus. If you don’t tell the doctor all of your systems and don’t disclose (as many woman don’t) how many abortions you have had a doctor can’t read your mind. She really does not need any kids(sorry to say) She will forget it’s a kid and throw it across the room thinking it’s her blackberry. LOL.

Several men have tried to lock Naomi down in the past, so it doesn’t follow that she’s wanting a baby to trap a man or his money. She probably realized that she was knocking on 40’s door and wants children.
Maybe the cysts and pain were giving her the manic rages *shrug* I heart Naomi.

I don’t care what nobody says, i am a fan of Naomi’s. People are so quick to knock down everything you have accomplished. Naomi is a frontrunner a legend in the modeling industry and she’s black. She ushered in and help to clear the way for younger black female models to come along, and because of her, our beauty is recognized. She was and is still considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. So excuse the heck outta me when i say i could careless if she throws a blackberry, a blueberry, or a strawberry, she is the shyt in my eyes. Credit where credit due. Also, some people act like they never had a tantrum and threw shyt, when ya know ya did; your personal business just wasn’t placed on the internet and for public knowledge cause frankly, you’re nobody, and nobody cares. I don’t think her behavior is so outrageous. And i bet that everywhere she goes people try her because of her reputation; they probably deliberately provoke her. That’s got to be a difficult thing to deal with.

As far as her diagnosis goes, i believe her. Most doctor’s don’t taken women concerns seriously. They don’t treat women reporting pain symptoms as aggressively as they treat a man coming to the doctor reporting he’s in pain.

There’s absolutely no reason to believe Naomi wasn’t completely candid with her doctors; how do you know she didn’t tell them everything? How about some doctors don’t take womens concerns seriously? How about these new doctors aren’t as thorough as the doctors of old? How about some doctors in the field for the money and prestige and could careless about a true diagnosis? So with all of that said, why blame the patient….

As far as her having a child, i say go for it…nobody knows what type of mom she will be…maybe the child will mellow her out…maybe the child will bring something to her life she’s been devoid of…who knows…

Being real, she just like a lot of old whores today. Wait until they all used up and just bout to cross the line into no havy baby land, to try and straighten up and bring children into the world. Is this story serious? I can’t imagine Naomi bearing child …. her temper now is off the chain. And in terms of the cyst – from what I have read they are often missed in our community because the symptoms so closely resemble other common health realted issues.
