Last night Senators Barack Obama and John McCain mocked themselves at the Alfred E. Smith charity dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC.
I wish I could tell you what they said, but such things bore me, so I watched baseball instead. Anyway, if you missed the jokes, you can watch Obama here and McCain here.
Earlier in the day, Obama’s wife Michelle grew hungry while waiting in her suite at the Waldorf for Obama to get back from a meeting. So she called room service and ordered an appetizer. According to Page Six, Michelle ordered “lobster hors d’oeuvres, two whole steamed lobsters, Iranian caviar and champagne.” I guess it’s safe to say the children weren’t with her while she got tipsy.
