This video featuring stars like Jamie Foxx, Usher, Halle Berry and others, yelling “DON’T VOTE!” or “I don’t care if you vote” as if they are speaking to stupid people who don’t know the importance of voting.
This video is a classic example of narcissistic celebs who think they are intellectually superior to the average American.
I can’t vote because I am not a U.S. citizen. But if I was a citizen of this great country, I wouldn’t need celebrities — who can’t get their own sh*t together — telling me what to do.
Every four years, politicians campaign to be president of this country. They make empty promises that they never fulfill and then they leave office with this country in worse debt than when they came in.
Where I’m from — London, England — there are no presidents. Social services work for the people and Health care is free.
Can one of these presidential candidates at least make health care free for Americans?

We all know that whatever they say we believe, whatever they are selling we will buy.
Funny!

I with you on that one. Due to the excessive greed passed off as capitalism that will NEVER happen in this country.
If London is so good, WHY ARE YOU HERE(USA), SANDRA?
I agree with Bird. I’m a Type I diabetic and all I hear about is cure cure cure – it will never happen. The companies make WAY too much money from me – between my testing strips, insulin pump supplies, doctor and specialist visits – I spend thousands a year staying health.
But…if the healthcare is free, then there has to be some drawback. Some of my diabetes folks in Canada get some kind of healthcare from the government, but it takes them MONTHS to get appointments. And to say that they jump through hurdles to get procedures approved is a gross understatement.
I am never really disappointed with politicians because I realize that they are human – don’t put folks on a pedestal or expect them to save you and you won’t be disappointed. They are only going to do what they are going to do – just hope and pray it’s for the best.
healthcare is a billion dollar industry-that would be too much like right to make it “free”
Ladi – I’m glad you asked. LOL
I think the ad is good. We seem to do everything backwards here anyway. Its something that will catch our young voters attention. Our young voter can be influenced very easily by anything, even celeberties. I wouldn’t call people stupid but alot of the young voters simply do not know the importance of voting. I can honestly say that from the legal age to vote 18 to probably 22, I did not know how important it was nor did I care.I look at the ad as trying to help a situation not celeberties thinking their superior know it alls.
hmmm…sooo… americas the richest country in the world right? soooo…if healthcare was free… wouldnt we end up being piss poor like other countries? not to mention…arent other countries under other forms of gorverment thats no democracy? so… would it really makes sense to base what we do in america on what other countries do?
I visited London England and Scottland this past March; however it is true about the healthcare being free, there is evidentally not a dental plan because no one seemed to take advantage of it.

You can for sure count McCain OUT for that one, Sandra! See, again, this pull the wool right from under you! You so busy bashing Obama, when you believe in the same fundamental beliefs that he and every other Democrat believes in!
Republicans believe in LESS government (less social services) and government SHOULD NOT be involved in providing health care for Americans!
Step your US government game up, Sandra! PLEASE!

ROTFLMAO…
Wow…I have been to several countries where “teeth” are commonly looked over. You are hilarious!!!!
@ theatrkakal
IF I’M CORRECT AMERICA IS NOT THE RICHEST COUNTRY.
I know MsDivine
I am so sick of hearing people complain about places that dont like but they are still there. Thats like Atlanta. Atlanta is this and that but everybody moving here. Hell they moved here. If you do not like the place, move and go back to where every you came from if its so much better.
I don’t think free health care would be a good thing. Because how would the hospitals get supplies and their pay checks. Then the first thing the government is going to do is take it out of our paychecks and we already giving almost or whole paychecks to the government now.
LOL @ ladilovely!!!
I live in VA and we get so many people coming from New York to live here and they complain half the time, “VA is soo slow” “Everything is so far apart, you gotta drive everywhere” “It’s nothing to do down here”
I always say, well then go back up to NY, nobody’s forcing you to live here. I’m from here and I think it’s boring sometimes too but WTH u gon do?? Every place you live can’t always be poppin.
Hey Yall….
@ Mimi
I’m from DC and I get the samething from New Yorkers. Move da hell back to NY then.
UM this is not a socailist government like the brits and personally i know most americans would not be feeling 6 dollar a gallon gas prices because their government taxes its citizens as much as possiblke to be able to afford a socialist health care system……………….. Perhaps good for the common welfare, but highly unlikely it would ever happen…………..

England does have free basic healthcare, and they’re taxed up the wazoo for it too. How many Americans would be willing to pay higher taxes for their neighborhood to have basic healthcare? When (some of) these rich folks (who can afford it) are calling Obama’s tax plan punitive?
SandraRose,
Thanks for sharing with us about yourself.
I hate how the U.S. tries to force other countries to convert into being a democracy when the people in this country don’t even rule this country equally, rich white people do. All our laws are really rearranged to save rich white people and keep regular people regular and poor.
This country contradicts itself all the time. If democracy is for the people, we should have free health-care and etc. But instead we get improper care and medicine and unhealthy food to limit the population.

I don’t think the taxes compare to what we pay a year for insurance coverage…especially if you have dependents! My son goes to the doctor twice a year…I go once. We have health, dental, and vision. and I spend over $3000.00 + a $300 deductible just to be cov at 90% for those 3 visits. Everybody wouldn’t have to use the insurance constantly…some people like me and my family only need it for yearlys and emergencies. I doubt that we would individually pay $3300.00 a year in taxes….if we did then I guess the purpose of healthcare being affordable would be defeated. Then again wouldn’t we get it all back during income tax season?
Healthcare = A Business!I wish it was free for Americans, but I know a hospital where my sister work and they charge gloves $1500.Crazy, but it’s true. They will charge you for the stupidest ish ever and put it on the patient. My dad has stories for days about the VA hospital (which is is trying to reach a settlement with due to discrimination). It’s a crazy world and all you can do is pray.
@Sandra
Have you ever heard of reverse psychology??
All of these celebrities are huge Obama supporters.
They are saying to vote at the end…I guess Sandra didnt watch the whole video.
OBAMA 08!!
It is unfair that we do not have free healthcare. And i’m not sure how directly related to anything this is, but a lot of people from other countries come to the US to have various procedures done, and to learn in our schools. And that’s just real…

The funny part is the procedures are done for free and the doctors donate their time while Americans have to pay for the same services

I’m afraid to fly.
I want to impregnate Halle Berry!!! 2X!!
I agree w/ladilovely ? If you are afraid to fly, take valium, it will relax you, arent you a nurse? Free health care would decrease our pay. Here in VA it already sucks b/c the large amt of Military here. All jobs here pay less.
That’s why everyone is heading to the south.
If this country can afford to financially support an ill-conceived fake war in the tune of $10-$12 billion per month, yes month — then we damn sure can afford to provide each American with basic health care services for free. Have any of you seen an increase in your taxes as a result of the war in Iraq? No, you haven’t. The government can fund anything it wants and free healthcare for all is NOT one of those things it chooses to do. Instead of bailing out corporations that helped to propel the economy into this financial meltdown because of the deregulation of various industries the Republicans pushed and their continued subsidization of big businesses (corporate welfare), that money could be spent to subsidize healthcare for U.S. citizens which is what Obama supports.
Sandra — as much as you rail against Obama, for what reason I have no clue, you believe in many of the things he is fighting for each American to have. Take the time to research each candidate throughly and their positions before you load the glock and take aim.
There is nothing wrong with being pro-woman or pro-black, but make sure you are supporting that woman or that black person because they are the right woman or black person that will advance this country and ensure that it lives up to its potential by making the problems of everyday citizens its priority versus that of corporations.
