Usher has apparently realized his mistakes and plans to come back “harder” next year by “potentially” working with producer/singer/songwriter Ne-Yo.
While Usher’s latest studio effort eventually went platinum, the CD took the circuitous route rather than shipping platinum as the classic “Confessions” did.
Some seem to think that Usher’s arrogance and his insistence on forcing his personal life upon his fans is what ultimately led to all but his hard core fans abandoning him.
“I was one of the first people to tell Usher personally that I… didn’t think he was focused on the album, on ‘Here I Stand,'” said Ne-Yo, whose influence is all over Usher’s current tour. “I don’t think that his focus was in the right place.”
After eating a large slice of humble pie, Usher sat down to talk with MTV about his current “Ladies Only” tour which has yet to sell out despite playing in smaller venues than he is accustomed to.
