The Renaissance Award was presented to Big Boi by special guest, Dr. Cornel West as a symbolic passing of the baton from one generation to the next. The event was held at the prestigious Mercedes Benz of Buckhead. Lifestyle Specialist Kenny Burns and Radio One’s leading lady Rashion Ali hosted and celebrity DJ Trauma played all old skool favorites for this event. For Fantasia she did look somewhat decent.
I didn’t hear about her foreclosure, sad. I heard Bey’s movie was good and it was not released in every available theater therefore the numbers mean nothing. $1.50 movie. We have not had a $2.00 movie where I live in a long time. Our discount movie prices would be the half price manitee(sp).

The movie was actually a really good. I enjoyed learning more about the blues. The sad part is that the movie reached #9 because it was only shown on 686 screens nationwide so I’m surprised the movie was in the top 10 not bad at all. What a shame, when movies usually show on 2-3 thousand screens nationwide. Oh, and I’m not a stan of B, but she did okay, and the movie was not about her. Actually Columbus Short from “Stomp the Yard” stole the show, and Gabby Union did really good. Hell everyone in the movie compliment each other. Overall the movie was intriguing with really good music from that era. Many may be hesistant to see the movie, but check it out you will be presently surprised:-) I’m buying the soundtrack today!

Beyonces dress is ok. I have never been a fan of her red carpet style or her style period for that matter. I am tired of the hump hair as well. Chris is a cutie. I love Fantasia she holds it down for the NC. She can SANG like nobodys business. My friends say thats why I don’t think B is a great singer cause she isn’t a church singer.
