By now you’re aware that Barack Obama appointed one tax cheat, Geithner to head the IRS (lol), Well now he has appointed another tax cheat, Senator Tom Daschle to be his secretary of health and human services.
“Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter,” said Sen. Tom Daschle on May 7, 1998.
11 years later and Daschle himself is one of the biggest tax cheats in the Senate with over $200K owed to the government — $83,000 of which he didn’t report on his taxes even after his accountant reminded about it.
That’s $199,000 more than what Joe the Plumber owed on his taxes. But Joe was raked through the mud for that $1,000 and he wasn’t even running for public office.
As expected, Obama’s administration stands behind Sen. Daschle, saying “nobody’s perfect.” Does that include Joe the Plumber?
When has Obama ever shown any backbone when it comes to his shady associations? So much for his “new era of responsibility.”
Daschle and Geithner are both good ol’ boys in Washington. The same good ol’ boy government that Obama said he would oppose and Change. Instead, it’s politics as usual.
Both Sen. Daschle and his wife are lobbyists — the same type of lobbyists that Obama said would never be a part of HIS administration. Instead, more politics as usual.
Obama’s administration is only 14 days old and it’s already a joke.
