Here’s video from Barack Obama’s interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper yesterday. Obama tries hard to convince Americans that he made a mistake by nominating Sen. Tom Daschle for secretary of health and human services despite knowing all about Daschle’s tax cheating.
Said Obama:
“I don’t want to send a message to the American people that there are two sets of standards, one for powerful people and one for ordinary folks who are working every day and paying their taxes.”
One day before though, the headlines blared, “Obama ‘absolutely’ stands by Daschle at HHS.” It’s disheartening to know that Obama didn’t think there was a mistake made until the NY Times turned on him yesterday.
If Obama really wants to send a message to the American people he should show Sen. Geithner the door. Isn’t he a tax cheat too?
Sadly, Obama has a history of bad judgment when it comes to choosing the people around him. Nothing is going to Change.
