Genine Compton of Ohio told police she was in a hurry to get her other children to school when she decided to breast feed her baby while driving her car and talking on her cell phone.

Police got a call from a concerned motorist who spotted the bizarre scene.

“I’m following behind a lady in a van who is driving while breastfeeding her newborn baby and talking on the cell phone,” said the 911 caller.

Compton was pulled over and ticketed by police for child endangerment and violating the child safety seat laws.

“I don’t want anything to happen to any of my children, that’s why I tell them to get in the seat belt, but this particular morning that child wanted to eat, and I did feed my child,” said Genine Compton in an interview with WHIO.

“In my 12 years in law enforcement I’ve never run into anything like this. You know, all you can really do is shake your head,” said Officer Michael Burke of the Kettering Police Department.

Despite facing 180 days in jail if convicted of the charges, Compton said if necessary she would do it again. LINK
