But I agree with Charles its just a dance. Are dances geared towards a certain sex now. Is a boy doing chicken noodle soup gay? Or the snake? Or the butt? How about the electric slide? Someone please tell me if there are dances that only men can do or only women can do.

@Iscream…I really wish you could see the video. Obviously when Justin did it, it was funny because you don’t expect to see men dancing this way. It is clearly a very feminine dance routine. I for one better not catch my son/boyfriend dropping down low and grinding/twerking it. The dances you mentioned back in the day were unisex. I would go as far as to say that they featured members of both sexes doing the dances in the videos. Even on YouTube, all the male dancers that re-enacted this dance routine were clearly gay, with the exception of the ones that did it as a parody.

Seriously, I find it disturbing as a man. Gay/straight, feminine/masculine, born/acquired/choice, etc.. are all debates better suited to somewhere other than this blog, but…. I feel like teaching these boys to do this, or allowing them to train and perfect it, is a major disservice to these boys.

This video is HORRIBLE!! It would NOT have been cute if it were little girls doing this dance, but the fact that you have young boys prancing around, twisting their hips and dancing to this female song is a travesty. This is a clear example of why we need to support two parent homes, because no man would have ever allowed his son to participate in such an event!
