First Barack Obama delivered the first Godless presidential Thanksgiving message, and now this:
Georgetown Says It Covered Over Name of Jesus to Comply With White House Request

Jesus Missing From Obama’s Georgetown Speech

I guess the White House doesn’t want Obama’s overseers in the middle east to be offended by any semblance of Christianity. Especially since Obama has already declared America a non-Christian nation.

Sandra,
Previously I didn’t focus on Obama being a muslim because ….. well, if he is …. it’s just one in a long list of lies. But, I’m beginning to wonder what’s going on. I know it’s not just about being a muslim … it’s disturbing though.
SunnyPA
Well I’m American & I’m not Christian so I don’t see the big deal. (Shurgs)
Why would anyone be offended by this? Should non Christians be offended by the fact that G Bush jr basically rode into his 2nd term on the back of Jesus.
I heard NeNe won an award lastnight. Congrats to her.
Especially since Obama has already declared America a non-Christian nation.
====================
That is not true…Obama never said that…if he did, provide the link…and prove where he said that America is an ANTI CHRISTIAN NATION…I don’t think you would be able to do so…
The above statement is something those raving, lunatic neocoons who have to lie and sling mud to justify their weak, non-intellectual, slant…are saying…
And if you can’t understand why Obama is doing what he’s doing…understand this…the man’s strong suit is in CONSTITUTIONAL LAW…perhaps read what the CONSITUTIONS SAYS REGARDING SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE…then you can understand why Obama is steering away from religion…
NOT GOD…NOT JESUS…RELIGION (aka big biddness)…HUGE DIFFERENCE…
If we take RELIGION out of politics…let’s see thing things we wouldn’t have to deal with…
Slavery
Jim Crow Laws
Apartheid
Female circumcision
Oh…the list goes on and on…in fact, I bet I could go through the history of the world and directly connect every bad thing that ever happened on this planet to religion…NOT GOD…NOT JESUS…RELIGION…
In all fairness, not everyone in the US is christian. Besides, we already know that President Obama is not a christian. He may not even be muslim. Most political figures are athiest. With that said, who cares???????
Hmmm… This is an interesting post. I am a Christian but I know the US is officially a secular nation.
The First Amendment of the US Constitution guarntees the free exercise of religion and forbids the establishment of any religious governance.
And if I am not mistaken, most of the ealr settlers came to the new world so they would be free to worship as they pleased without the dominance of the monarchy et al… With that, exactly what is Obama doing wrong?
Not a darn thing and as I said before my father is a preacher at the Church of Christ but he DOES NOT CALL himself a Christian because of the bad connotation that fake Christians have given the word!
Also I am an American and I am not Christian and neither are a number of people in my family…
Sunny Pa sit down!
The only thing that I remotely remember hearing about Obama and non Christian is him saying this is not a Christian nation, a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, or a non believing nation….which is true…the US is an amalgam of things and the least of which is Christian…
Is this fittin to be the shots fired post today?
@Miss When did you hear Barack Obama say he wasnt a Christian? He speaks about in his books and on the campaign trail. Did you not see where he went to church and who is Pastor was?..lol
I do not care if he were muslim but until he says otherwise I will still with his Christian track record.
@Isc I know you said you believed in God (correct me if I am wrong). So do you not believe in Jesus? Just trying to make heads or tails.
@KC Although some people look at being Christian as a bad or negative thing I still say I am a Christian cause I know I try to live Christ like which is what being a christian means to me. I feel where your father is coming from but its funny that he is a Pastor who doesn’t consider himself a Christian..lol
kcicero u can tell u visit the blogosphere cuz u get ALL the news. Thanks for staying up and really listening.
Hey Sandra, your hits are up like crazy in the past couple of weeks since u leave the msg open now. MAKE THAT MONEY GIRL!!!
PPL, pls stop falling for Auntie Sandra’s thing and she will soon be like her friend Concrete Loop!!!!
LET ME GET THIS RIGHT….., YOU ARE MAD WHEN HE ATTENDED REV WRIGHTS CHURCH, NOW YOU MAD BECAUSE HES NOT ATTENDING CHURCH ? OR MAYBE ITS BECAUSE HE CHOOSE NOT TO SERVE WHITE CHURCHES WHO TEACH HIM HES A SLAVE AND THAT HIS DAUGHTERS SHOULD BE LESS THAN MEN ? IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT ? BECAUSE IF HES GOT TO SERVE THAT KIND OF CHURCH TO MAKE THESE PEOPLE HAPPY, THEN I WOULDNT ATTEND ONE EITHER. IT BEGINNING TO LOOK LIKE THEY ARE MAD BECAUSE HE NOT SERVING A JESSE HELMS GOD.
One of the reasons I found this article disturbing is not geared towards any one particular religion.
The US is made of many different religions…it was founded on that principle. We should be acknowledging the diversity of faiths not cancelling them out, as if Faith doesn’t exist or we are to adhere to one god.
We are nothing without our Faith and religious beliefs. What was the purpose of selecting a catholic church to make the speech, then requesting that religious imagery be covered? Couldn’t Obama have gone to a stadium?
There is a message being sent here … I’m not sure what it is, but I don’t like it.
I haven’t been to church in years. That doesn’t mean I’m not a Christian. That doesn’t mean I don’t believe in God. It simply means I stay out way too late on Saturday nights.
Not to that it matters to me, but I never thought Obama was religous. His mom was an athiest. He just used Rev Wrights church for political connections
BTW, I have two sisters who are aethists and a cousin who’s a non-christian. I love them all, respect their decisions, and they are welcomed to my house anytime.
But, I’ll be damn if I take down my picture of Jesus with angels when they come over.
It’s a matter of respecting ones civil rights.
Hey..in the constitution it says you can practice any religion.Really who cares?

Exactly! I never knew that Jesus’ name on a school building violated church and state. So will he ask Muslims to cover up their religious symbols when he visits their schools in the U.S.?
I heard about this.
Yet ignorant Christians just love to support this man.

After that bow we witnessed to that Saudi head of state, you know good and well Obama wouldn’t remove any Islamic paraphanelia from wherever he decides to make a speech.
@ Daisy that is correct I do believe in God (a higher being) but I do not believe that Jesus rose from the dead. (Which is why I’m not a Christian or celebrate Easter) I believe he was a holy man who walked the earth and preached the word but it stops there for me.
I also don’t believe in Adam in Eve I believe in evolution.
If you can’t pray in school why do you think it would be ok to have Jesus name on a school..lol
@Anti-Please spare me with the ignant Christians cry me a river already
@Ice ok thanks

that’s what i’m saying daisy…..
*SIGH*
@ iscream, Is there a reason why you don’t believe these things? I am just wondering if it is something that you have researched or is this was something that you were brought up on? I am just curious because everything that I believe (in regard to religion) is what I was brought up on and never had a reason to look further into and (or) question. I understand that they are totally personal reasons and such, I am just curious.
BTW, So over the Obama bashing!! I watched an episode of O’Reily (sp?) factor and I was appalled. I never watched it before but I have heard about it. I think I am gonna delete the Faux channel from my channel list. That Hannity episode from Atl last night was awful as well. I live in Augusta Ga, and we had a small Tea party as well. Skraight BULL!!
Lol Luvly I try to stay informed, I just got my BA in History so I breathe all of this stuff!
HERE IS WHAT HE SAID IN TURKEY
“One of the great strengths of the United States,” the President said, “is … we have a very large Christian population — we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.”
THE VIDEO CAN BE FOUND AT THE HUFFINGTON POST I WOULD PUT A DIRECT LINK BUT SANDRA TAKES FOREVER TO APPROVE THOSE THINGS.
AND JUST SO YOU KNOW MANY OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS WERE ATHEISTS SO BOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE F HOOOOOOOOOO!
Daisy tell em how you really feel, lol.
Jefferson himself lays this to rest best: “Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting ‘Jesus Christ’, so that it would read ‘A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion’; the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination.”
-Thomas Jefferson, Autobiography, in reference to the Virginia Act for Religious Freedom

I think her hits are up because she is Blowing up, lol. Within the last few weeks she has gotten mentioned on Solonge, Bow Wow & Luda’s twitter page. She was mentioned in a magazine durning April Fools. RL has sent in two letters regarding her post.
I think her being one of the only black blogs giving a Republic POV on the POTUS is just the icing on the cake not the center.
@KC lol I am all about agreeing and disagreeing but when it comes to the name calling it drives me BATTY!! We are all entitled to our own opinions doesn’t mean anybody is ignant. Some Christians didn’t even vote for Obama others did same with Bush nothing new under the sun again I say.
I love the Lord he heard my cry
Jesus Wept
LAWD GIMMIE A SIGN!
@Dani NOT delete Faux news channel..lol
@ Dani not to get too much into it as to not offend anyone. I was brought up to believe. The older I got, the more I questioned it, the more I looked into it, The less sense it made to me.
@ Daisy is that a line from the DMX lord give me a sign song?… I kid, I kid, lol. I kid.
I just love it how people make such a big deal over the most minute details.
I am not biased so … in no way shape or form, so I deem some one wrong just because they don’t believe what I believe. That is the problem with most of today’s “Christians'” … that’s the one religion where coexisting is a CRIME.
And for the record — Lets consider the long term goal of INTERNATIONAL UNITY.
do I deem***
Iyonah I shouted u out on another post. Ya boy Jada did 100K in the first week. Impressive.
Go Jada! Go Jada!
Also I don’t think all Christians are like the above, but a good 85% of them are.
@Iyonah 85% of Christians are like what?
.. are the one’s who have a problem with coexisting and are the one’s who wear JESUS on their sleeve.
(No offense intended – but I just don’t understand why people make such a big deal about Jesus this and Jesus that, especially when it comes to a politician trying to do their job)
