Solange says Julez still wets the bed

According to my loyal reader Rebecca, Solange Knowles just posted a ‘twit’ revealing that her son Julez, who turns 5 in October, still “pees in the bed.”

Bed wetting is usually a sign of emotional turmoil and problems later on in life. Solange often twits about seeing her son whenever her schedule permits. The stress of seeing his mom more often at the airport than he does at home can lead to bed wetting.

Isn’t it sad that celebs such as Angelina Jolie and Madonna spend more quality time with their adopted children than Solange spends with Julez?

yes that is a shame and imagine how upset he would be to know that everyone knows he pees the bed. solange strikes me as the type that became pregnant because she wanted some attention and is now over motherhood and wants to live her life. recapturing those teen years.

PLEASE. Bed wetting does NOT mean emotional turmoil. I wet the bed until I was 9 on occassion because of the PEE DREAM and being lazy. My son did too. Neither of us had any emotional turmoil; we just slept hard and didn’t realize until it was TOO LATE that we were NOT on the toilet. Bed wetting is sooooo misunderstood and overrated.

I had male cousins that peed in the bed until they were about 10/11. Most of the cousins always went to my aunts house, and no one ever wanted to sleep with them. LOL!! My grandma used to call them Pepe (as in le pew)

i would be upset if he was 9…. but hell what four yr old doesnt wet the bed every now n then? i bet hes also spoiled too, spoil kids dont really have to be in a rush to do big kid things. if he was surrounded by big kids he wouldnt allow him self to get in that situation.

when my nieces n nephew come over to sleep, in the bed at 9 no water after 8 30.

Bed wetting can be signs of so many things that i won’t agree or disagree with anything about says.

But honestly, Solange is star by way of being beyonce sister. no one is checking for her like that, she should see her kid all the time, or as much as possible. “whenever i can” sounds like, i’m too busy to see him sometimes.

Any way, Sandra so at what age should a child stop wetting the bed before parents should get concerned? My baby girl just turned 3 in Jan every since her birthday she stopped telling us when she had to go pee (#2 is fine). No matter how many privileges we take away from her, she still WILL NOT TELL US. We went back to sitting her on the pot every few hours. I’m taking her to the doctor on Friday just to make sure everything is working properly.

my oldest brother wet the bed till he was like 12-13 ..(his mother phycially abused him) .. he was trying to get his young swearve on with the neighbor tramp … I am 7 yrs younger … soooo my lil sister azz wants ALL his ‘tention .. If your baby just turned 3 then maybe it was too early for you to successfully complete her potty training and now she’s stressed. I’m glad you’re taking her to a doctor. You’re a good mom.

I am not a nurse and I know that Sandra is, but damn he is still a child. I am sure that peeing in the bed can be a possibility of something deep but damn, he ain’t but 5. If he drinking late at night then he will pee in the bed. If he is scared to get out of the bed to go to the bathroom, he will pee in the bed. If he sleeps hard and has the pee dream (dreaming that he is on the toilet) then he will pee in the bed. Damn. If anybody has a child, sibling, family member, whatever that stopped peeing in the bed as soon as they were trained (2 or 3 years old), please let me know so that when I decide to become a mama, I can use that technique!

As I child growing up, I don’t recall any kid in my family wetting the bed after they were potty trained at 2 or 3. My male brothers and cousins shared a bed when there were sleep overs. If any boy wet the bed we would have teased him unmercifully, lol. So in my opinion, bed wetting at any age after potty training is not normal. It means that the child cannot control his or her bladder at night, for whatever reason.

I agree Solonge is putting too much of her business out into the skreets. she needs to take a lesson from her big sis and learn to stfu. She doesn’t think his school mates parents read her twitter. Poor boy is going to be teased. (that’s if he goes to school)

The jails are full of men who experienced severe emotional turmoil at Julez’s age. When a young child exhibits signs of emotional stress, those signs should not be dismissed or taken lightly.

I don’t think bed wetting is a sign of emotional stress. He’s just slow or better yet the adults around him are slow. A child only does what he’s allowed to do. If his family isn’t explaining to me or chastising him about peeing in the bed then they have a problem. Also, did she say it’s a nightly event or something that happens from time to time. At 4 years old a child (especially a boy for some reason) is bound to have an accident or two hell or five.

I like Solange’s music, not so sure about much else. Her son is a bit spoiled. I saw him on Tyra and he was showing out. He even snatched away from Mrs. Tina and kept saying he wanted his mama. I was thinking to myself, they have ruint (yes ruint) that child!!

Yeah Sandra teasing might stop it somewhat, but I don’t think that’ll work when it is with younger children. Now if you are like 7 or 8 peeing in the bed, getting embarassed about it might stop it.

Yes I found that ironic myself considering the rumor I had just heard (side eye). I think with most cheating men it’s out of sight out of mind. I even heard some say, once they shower they wash away what ever they just had with the woman away with it. As I said yesterday they are just different from us. Women connect emotionally even during quickie sex. But for men its just another task to be completed and forgotten. Afterwards they shower and go home to their wives. But women get wrapped up in their emotions wondering if he’s going to call.

The key is actual potty training. A lot of times parents don’t want to put in the time and effort. Then, want to label a child as “slow”.

People always asked me “how did your daughter get so smart” or “she’s a fast learner”. My daughter was average (me too)…the only difference was the time I put into teaching her.

My longtime pet dog died a while back…she was the best dog. A couple of months ago, I got a puppy. I am having the worst time housebreaking my puppy. I know it’s not the puppy’s fault. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time and/or patience any more….still I’m trying. BTW, with some of these celebs children and pets are interchangeable.

All that to say (I have a tendency to get offtrack – sorry), kids do not learn on their own. And putting their business out there like that is emotionally damaging alone.

Bed wetting is NOT caused by emotional turmoil. I’ll be the first to say that I wet the bed until I was like 7 or 8 due an extremely weak bladder, which I still have today but clearly have control over it now. As a child, I couldn’t tell when I needed to pee until I REALLY needed to pee and by then I couldn’t hold it so I peed myself. Thats why they make Good Nights and diapers like that for big kids who have the problems. It doesn’t mean you have parents that neglect you because my mom never once neglected me.

I have to children 5 and 1..my 5 year old has been potty trained and in school since age 2. NEVER has my baby wet the bed. He obviously anit been taught that well. You mothers kill me giving her a past. My 5 year old can read better than most ADULTS i know. I bet Solange SON cant read, nor write, nor add. My child can do all this and I’m by far rich..what I am doing is rasing my child the right way. They probably dont care when lil man eat or drink and no one is waking him up…sometimes you have to do that. If your rich and dont have to report to a 9-5 there is no reason why your child shouldnt be fully trained and lil man going on 6.

And bed weting WTF he is 4 years old. I follow her on twit (yes im lame lol), and she’s always updatign her profile saying how her son is the greatest and how much she loves him. She has lots of pics with them 2. She takes him on tour with her and when she does shows and interviews.

I was listening to this story on the radio. And when they said a blogger said “Angelina Jolie and Madonna spends more time with their kids then Solange”….i was like what damn blogger would say some sh*t like dat.

@Renegro # 37 Is you cousin lefthanded? When my son(lefty) was starting Pre-K I started trying to teach him to tie his shoes. He couldn’t get, my younger daughter watched us and picked it right up. I was worried, told my friend( left handed) and when she showed him he got it right away.He was trying to copy me exactly and didn’t have the strength or dexterity in his right hand to do it.
