According to Gina of Michelle Obama Watch blog, this is the first official family portrait of the Obamas in the White House. It was taken in the Green Room of the White House on September 1, 2009 by famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, who’s going through a very public financial meltdown. Maybe Obama gave her some stimulus money to help bail her out.
