Here is episode 2 of “Monica, Still Standing,” in case you missed it.

Hopefully, Mo will visit my suite at the Philips Arena during an upcoming Atlanta Hawks home game to meet with my readers. I don’t think we’ll have a problem making that happen. Just the other night, I was out driving and Mo called my cell to say she was having difficulty logging into my blog to chat with my readers.

How many celebrities would arbitrarily log into my blog to chat with my readers without being asked? And did I tell y’all that the whole Live Chat concept Sandrarose.com was Monica and Mia X’s idea?

This ep was much better and wasn’t as slow as last week. She was still a lady yet entertaining which is what I was saying last wk but got accused of being a hater or negative

I love Monica as an artist, but the show is not really grabbing me. I don’t think she needs to do a reality show. She’s not one of those artists who need to get the exposure because she has solidified her name in the music business so well. I don’t think Monica has ever dropped an album that the masses didn’t like. In my opinion, Monica can do no wrong in the studio – that’s just my opinion. But her show is not grabbing me.

Yeah I made a comment in the other post. I remember Nas spoke on doing a reality show but didn’t green light it because he found himself boring & his brother was the entertaining one… maybe she should add her brother to the show.

I’m all for positive TV but this show… hummm just isn’t grabbing me (thanks mrs hawthrone) either. I can’t even tell you what the episode was about.

Sorry Mo. Not trying to NOT support because I did try. Reality TV isn’t for everyone. But nonetheless you can still sang the heck out of a song. AND

I LOVED TO HEAR YOU SING IN CHURCH. NEXT TIME TAKE IT HOME AND DON’T HOLE BACK LIKE YA MOMMA (who still looks great) SAID.

Thanks Sandra! This episode was much better than last weeks to me. Its no secret here that im like the biggest Monica fan in the world, lol. But I had to recondition my mind when it comes to reality shows. Im soo used to (and ill admit it…I love) all the cursing and screaming backstabbing on reality shows. But Monica show is not about that. Its shows a different perspective of black family. Which I love. Its inspiring, encouraging and just about love of family and God.

More often than not we complain about BET and the coonery they allow on air and now they finally decided to switch it up. Im curious to see how ratings are doing. I just hope people support it. For me personally I love how positive and God fearing Monica comes across. I want to aspire to be more like that.

Oh and just cuz u dont like the show, dont mean u being negative. Everybody is not going to like everything.

@ Daisy I think your right. She is a beast in the studio. I don’t really know to many that can compare to her in the studio. She hasn’t gotten the exposure needed for her albums, so I think this is a good start.

Did you check what site you’re on? People are called haters on the reg here if they express any sort of opinion other than glowing of everyone and everything. Most recent post that comes to mind was the post about the premier episode of Still Standing(love that name its my facebook “quote” always has been)

I absolutley LOVE this show. No its not ghetto fab but i loveeeeee it. She is such a great mother everything is about her kids. I will be watching ALL her eps. I especially love how she invited the guys who couldnt get in the show on the tour bus. Monica is oen of the most humble persons in the biz. It has not eaten awya at her. And that comment about being on time is the truth cause im never on time. I love the hot ghetto mess also but this show was refreshing. As Dallas said we complain abput the streotypes BET portray and now that they have a positive show going on we call it boring. I will admit its not alot of drama but its not boring to me.

Its not about not having fights and or acting a fool. The show just doesn’t have IT.

I watched MC Hammer show, Pilar (that’s a shame I can’t think of her husband name who was the football player something with a T- E Love help me.), Scott Biao, TI, Snoop (even though I think that was scripted), Runs house and those shows were good & positive. They had something to keep me wanting to see the next. Sadly this doesn’t.

iscream I Run’s House as well. I think that show is a positive show that keeps you coming back and definitely has the IT factor. I especially think it’s refreshing to see how well they have blended the family even though Justine is not the biological mother to the 3 oldest kids.

iscream, I understand what youre saying. I never thought had the personality to carry her own reality show. When she is like on camera…she comes across a lil too serious. Always have. I like her best when she is unfiltered. Like the Living The Life episodes…they did really catch her in that light on this show..but hell its just two shows deep.

For the most part more people seem to like it than dont. And really Ive never really heard no one say they didnt like it, people just say its slow or boring

Nice show, its not full of stupidity and drama like other shows but of course whenever somebody trys to bring something positive to television they always get labled as boring….so sorry Monica. Thanks for the effort.

Pilar got what she asked for and I think her hubby was kinda nasty to her throughout the show. He let her know who’s money it was that she was spending. T.O’s show had his two drama filled side kicks who spent his money and he shut them down on several occasions. I guess those would be better shows.

Daisy, I refuse to say anymore about it either its already been stated more than once that a)a dramatic interesting show does not have to be ghetto and b)giving an honest opinion does not make you a hater.That will be all. , Monica addressed it the issue in her response to me last post. She said there is a reason for her to be given the opportunity to have the cameras follow her.

the next time monica’s on here, im going to ask why she and david foster or narada walden haven’t worked together. i dont believe she’s being challenged with the bcoxs and jd, etc.

i think the right david foster composed song, written by dianne warren or someone will really take monica to the level she should be on/at now.

she’s clearly not without talent, that’s a given. i can appreciate where the jd’s and bcox have brought her, but I think mixing it up can only make it better. monica can carry a song or hold a tune, i mean damn, “trust” became her song and she aint have a cd out.
