Obama Receives Nobel Peace Prize After Ordering 30,000 More Troops To War

The Nobel prize committee displayed hypocrisy at its highest today when presenting US president Barack Obama with his Nobel peace prize. Obama accepted the peace prize a week after ordering 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan to fight a war that nobody cares about.

“I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great ~~hypocrisy~~ humility,” said Obama in Oslo, Norway today. “It is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations – that for all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter, and can bend history in the direction of justice.”

Here is my question why does he get critisized for getting the award…. someone believed he was worthy of it well some people did. So it aint like he gave it to himself…. I still stand by my opinion i just dont think he needs to be bashed because of it.

All I have to say is pray for the troops who are stuck fighting this battle while we lay blame on Bush, Obama, and everyone else. My daughter’s dad is in the army and my dad is scheduled to come home this month from his second tour of duty…he will meet his second grandchild for the first time…she’s 7 1/2 months now.

I’m confident he put Bush on blast for a war in Iraq…when we needed to be in Afghanistan. Spending money, in a place we did not need to be is a legitmate gripe. I think you should stop LOOKING so hard for faults or reason to discredit the man. I neither heard you complain against GWB deploying troops at the start of the war, NOR over the course of the war -during which time he not only increased their numbers but EXTENDED their tours.

They know it’s an unwinnable war and that’s exactly what they want. This is the military industrial complex! Do you know anything about it? It’s what the Anglo/American empire is built on!

Ok maybe calling him a warmonger is a little provocative of me. Especially when you consider that he’s only doing what has been ordered of him. I suppose that is the point I should be making. Presidents don’t really make decisions on whether or not to go to war. They are given their directions from their puppet masters and they simply oblige.
