Many people feel that Obama has gone back on his word (like many politicians do). You see, fortunately for Obama, he will have the loyal black people back him up regardless. We talk about this health care plan. People only see the immediate satisfaction of the poor or otherwise who cannot afford health care, but how many people are looking at what this will cost (figuratively and financially). How many people have even read the Bill? It doesn’t take a year, two, or ten to figure that out.

So disagreeing with many of Obama’s policies is “throwing him under the bus?” Really? It’s not about Obama, per se ro. This is not about MLK, Malcolm or anyone else. The issue at hand, for me, is OBJECTIVELY looking at many of Obama’s policy (especially the health care bill) and finding many flaws. To be honest with you, NO ONE is going to fix this mess. It will get worst. Things only get changed at the grass roots level. We make changes by contacting our representatives and so on.

First off, if you are going to accuse me of being a “Republican” please come with some facts. How do you suppose I’m a Republican? And if I am, now what? What good does affordable health care do if people die in the process or the government mucks it up like they do everything else? If I may interject, it’s my belief that black people are so passionate about President Obama because this election was the first time that our generation felt we actually made an impact on the outcome of the election. Obama stirred something in the hearts and souls of the young people that had never been stirred before. It was uplifting to see our generation become so interested and invested in politics. We finally saw someone that looked like us, walked like us and talked like us, attempting to give us a voice in politics. We believed in him, stood in hours long lines to cast our votes, hung onto every word of his speeches and held fast to our faith that we might finally have true representation in the White House.
When he won the election, we experienced a sense of pride and accomplishment that we had never before felt for an elected official, much less our Commander in Chief.
Bush did a horrible job, on this we can all agree, yet WE collectively gave him a second term to finish the job of destroying this country we profess to love. I’m assuming all the people commenting on here didn’t just start voting in the past election, since we all profess to be so involved in our countries politics.

With the way that congress works against him and also the way bush has fucked up the economy, it may take more than 4 years, but I would gladly give obama till year 3 to try and at least make some improvement for the economy and the job industry. Look, my mom is elderly. A certain HMO is denying her care (yes, they deny care to the elderly because they figure they will be dying soon so why invest too much money in treating them). Conspiracy theory? NO! It’s the truth. It happens all the time. I’ve been involved in the health care field via my physician sister, my experiences in the hospital seeing things with my own eyes like trying to give my mom mega doses of morphine which surpresses breathing. She already has heart/lung issues as it is. Caretakers all over discuss the lack of healthcare all over the country. Obama’s plan is to pattern it after the likes of HMOs. They will decide what treatment you get and don’t get. Not the physician. When the government runs things, they are the boss. Look at Medicare. ro, many people are misinformed, that’s why people get defensive when others don’t believe in the the Almighty Obama. That’s the point I’m attempting to make.
