U.S. President Barack Obama suffered a humiliating defeat last Tuesday when Massachusetts voters elected a Republican to a Senate seat that was held by the Democrats since the late 1960s.
It was a crushing blow to Obama’s personal agenda to socialize America by passing sweeping healthcare reform, and at the same time one-up former president Bill Clinton who was unable to get the job done back in 1994.
During the campaign, Obama repeated his top priorities to withdraw from Iraq and fix the economy. He promised to move quickly and assured worried Americans that he understood their concerns about losing their jobs and homes due to the nation’s financial mess.
“I want to ensure that we hit the ground running on Jan. 20 because we don’t have a moment to lose,” he said back in November.
But it was a different Obama who took office on Jan. 20. It was an arrogant Obama who quickly forgot the promises he made to the American people. His agenda was more important than saving jobs or fixing the economy.
And so for the past nine months, Mr. Obama remained doggedly determined to sign his $3 trillion healthcare reform bill into law despite the fact that his popularity was waning in the polls.
Narcissists like Obama have an annoying tendency to ignore reality if it conflicts with their inflated egos. This is why other socialist dictators like Hitler and Stalin failed so brilliantly.
Tomorrow, a thoroughly humiliated Obama will go before the nation and make more promises, such as a 3-year spending freeze that will ultimately result in even more job losses. What he won’t be able to boast about are his many accomplishments since he has none.

The job of being the President is hard. EVERY President failed in their first year. That’s why it was so important to the Republicans for the Health Care Bill to fail. If it would have passed then Obama would forever be known as the President who provided Americans with FREE Health care in his first year. It would have been historic…But he’ll be alright.

Obama is no more arrogant or narcissistic than the previous 43 U.S. presidents.
Maybe Sandra doesn’t percieve Obama as one of us because he is bi-racial and light-skinned, even though he identifies as African-American. And that may be one of the reasons why she constantly goes in on him so hard.
My mother has always viewed high-yellow or light-skinned people with contempt and disdain. She automatically assumes they feel they’re better than everyone else (particularly dark-skinned black people). It seems as though this may be the case with Auntie too.

Of course Hillary is gonna run again. Wanna talk about narcism? Talk about Hillary. You think we are “knee deep in shyt” (as my uncle says) now? Wait til Hillary gets in and starts throwing her weight around and bucking her eyes. Maybe Sandra would prefer Sarah Palin who would probably just shoot people who didnt agree with her because “god” told her too.
Obama is intelligent and if you are intelligent, you know that he is not a dictator. He is the President. The government has to be in majority agreement or he can’t do anything. he has good ideas but he is also the most publicly opposed, hated and targeted president ever. He got people to believe that they mattered and Republicans/Fox News and Sandra HATE that. So now all they do is knock him and criticize him. You never hear the haters come with a better solution- just “don’t agree with Obama no matter what”.
I admire Obama. he walked into a real shyt hole and is trying to figure this thing out. I think he may have underestimated the toilet he wanted to take charge of but I think he is gonna get a handle on it really soon. He has caught more flack in his 1st year than “W” caught in his entire Presidency (and this is the same guy who stood at attention to a locked door- http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/4454738.stm- and credited “jet lag” with why he wasn’t on his game during talks with the {resident of the TRUE super power in the world- China).
Anyway,the GOP and Sandra want all of you to give up on Obama and elect Palin in 2012 so we can really be up the creek. Ask yourself, what would Palin be doing about the economy? What would Palin be doing about the war? What would Palin be talking about tomorrow night in the State of the Union Address?

Its funny to me different spins that people put on things surrounding Obama. 1st of all, Obama has not been humiliated.
Secondly, Coakley’s loss was not a referendum on Obama, but on healthcare. Plus her lazy campaigning. She did NOT put the effort in to win. This WAS NOT Obama’s bill, and that’s the biggest mistake of his presidency. He let Reid and Pelosi take over and run this crap into the ground. I really can’t even think of one person who supports any type of nationalized healthcare, after the past few months.
I really do think that he realizes the awful mistakes he has made. This State of the Union address WILL mark a turning point in his presidency. He still has a chance to regain his popularity and respect from most of the population.
I think most of us fail to realize that this country now suffers from “Angry White Man Syndrome”. The majority population in this country have lost their homes and jobs and the outcry is growing and growing. They are experiencing what Black people and also Native Americans have since they came over here. And its unfortunately what we’ve become accustomed to. They ARE NOT used to this, so the feelings towards Obama are understandable.
It is extremely important that we don’t forget the huge losses our market took in 2008, and the inevitable downturn of this economy. People say: “Where are the jobs?” You can blame Clinton and NAFTA for that. Ever since we started outsourcing every damn thing, we have lost jobs that will never, ever come back. Almost every thriving industry has manufacturing or service outside of this country. All these jobs that started leaving the country in the 90’s and 00’s are gone for good. So unless corporate America decides to recalibrate their strategy towards building our economy, instead of outsourcing, we can forget about new jobs.

The healthcare debacle sealed the deal for me hence I will not be voting for Pres. Obama in the next election. He should have left well enough alone and listened when the American public was saying now is not the right timing for the healthcare bill. Serves him right.

I don’t think he is camera happy. I think the media/camera is in love with him like they were with Clinton and Kennedy (who were as hot when they were in office). They are cuties on duty. They were charismatic and beautiful to look at. George H.W. Bush and the older Reagan (younger Reagan was hawt)? Not so much! That is the last “simple” think I will say concerning them. What everyone has failed to understand is that Obama’s being black doesnt automatically give black people a pass in America today. You still have to earn your keep. His election is a step up but the job and restraints are the same. Again, HE IS NOT A DICTATOR. This is NOT a dictatorship. He can’t just say things and they happen. This is a democracy. He can suggest what he wants to happen but it still has to go thru the Senate and House before anybody busts a move. Auntie Sandra is smart. I’ve learned alot from her so I know she knows this. He has tried to televise Senate debates, especially on healthcare, bit the Senate shot it down because if their constituents knew what they were really saying and doing behind closed doors, their arse would be grass and the voter booths would be the lawnmowers.

I honestly don’t know what people were expecting from Obama. Presidential candidates ALWAYS say one thing when they’re campaigning and do something entirely different once they get into office. When will people learn this? Then they want to know why people don’t vote. Remember that “no more taxes” bull? So why are we coming down on Obama? Because he said he was going to make changes? Again, when will we learn? And people really thought he was going to be able to do with that with the democrats and the republicans supporting him unitedly??
