i think she definitely still has fond memories of him and probably regrets acting so hastily in regards to their breakup. but she’s just waaaaaay to picky and i don’t think any man who knows his worth is gonna tolerate that mess from her. like Dallas said during the show, he smoked and drank while they dated and although she may not have liked it, he didn’t let it change who he was as a person.

i def think a lot of women have unrealistic expectations when it comes to relationships. i hear lists like Chilli’s – and worse – all the time and these are the women who claim they want a relationship so bad. i agree that infidelity is a dealbreaker but all that b.s. like he gotta be ‘just so tall, drive this kinda car, have his own house, make 6 figures, blah, blah, blah’ is a huge turnoff.
hubby and i built what we have TOGETHER over the course of our marriage. i fell in love with his character, integrity and how he respected and cherished me as a woman. he didn’t have a fancy car, wasn’t making much money (i made more than him at the time, now its reversed), lived with his mother AND he didn’t have a college degree. i wouldn’t trade my hard-working, blue collar husband for nothing in the world.

I still think two of the pics were wrong. Yes we all have them of our kids, but when you post them on the internet is when the thin line is a red flag. I don’t doubt that they are a loving family, but sometimes the smartest ppl don’t make the best choices. Isn’t she a Professor? Congrats on the marriage!! You are right. Most people can’t look past the present to the future. Your hubby is in school and will likely be making decent money when he graduates.

For fear of what happened yesterday.I mean the kids faces are exposed in a negative way. Sandra only highlighted what she knew would enrage ppl. She did not post a link to the site to show what the family was about. Those kids are getting the opporitunity to have a life better than what they could have. People have fun with their kids all kinds of ways. I do and to my family I post pictures. (I haven’t taken pictures of their butts but have been known to show bath time). Sandra, We all make mistakes. The best way for an adult to make up for that mistake is to Pray and Apologize. Say a pray for forgiveness and then write an open letter apologizing to Heather and her family on your blog and move on. You might want to post some additional pictures more accurately reflecting the love that they have for their kids and family.
I did not comment on the Heather post yesterday because I thought it was in poor taste. MOST people take bathtub pics of their children…and my brother and I who are a year and a half apart bathed together until we were about 7 or so because it was fun for us. Children are children…innocent…and they don’t get corrupted until adults put their views in their head. So for those boys, all they know is that they have 2 parents who LOVE them. How many BLACK fathers can comb hair much less a white man who took the time out to learn to twist his son’s hair to make sure they have an ethnic hairstyle in keeping with their culture???? The men that regularly deliver to my building and in my parent’s neighborhood, I’ve found to be worth exchanging numbers with/getting to know (too bad I’m in a relationship). I have 2 gfriends who adopoted kids but they went through the foster care system because it was cheaper. Money is the main reason I think more blacks don’t adopot that and they are already helping raise kids that already arent theirs. I say kudos to anybody that has the money and love to adopot a child

Thank you! I’m confused too. Your memory serves you correctly. They had so many angry and racist comments that they had to make the blog private. But took it down when Sandra did a post about it? While I did not agree with the nude photos being on the internet, its apparent that the children are loved to the max and it was obvious she was trying to convey that. The way this played out makes me sad. There is nothing worse than when you mean well, but others make it out to be something very negative.

I visit alot of the YT SAHM/ homemaker blogs( they are actually pretty cool) and you will normally see most of the same commenters and their online community is pretty big. I think when Sandra put it on her blog it opened her family up to a whole new world of readers that would certainly see an issue with the pictures, race of the parents,etc. Sandra knew what she was doing. A mean-spirited mess.

As I stated yesterday, I too took issue with the nude photos being on the internet, but I was mostly talking about Sandra’s possible intent. While this community may have been more supportive than negative, we have no idea how many lurkers on SR that went to that family’s blog and sent nasty emails to Heather. Please tell me how I was negative? I could have really went in like I normally do but I didn’t. All I did was post the pics to create dialog because I had never seen boys and girls bathing together since my brothers and I never did. But my nephew and my brother showered together all the time. I left the post open for you guys to describe your response to the pictures. I learned that brothers and sisters bathe together so this was a learning experience for me. I never said those kids were being abused or that the pics were pornographic. That was your opinion based on your attitudes about nudity and past experiences. Since when was it bad for a mother to show off her children to other families and mothers and it gets turned into child pornography WHEN there is nothing pornographic about those children images. This is a mother who loves the children that she adopted and called them her own and felt obliged to share her love of her children with others who have the same liked mine she does. Sandra has turned that womans blog into some sick and sadistic interest for pedophiles and for some of US to sit and criticize this woman for being a MOM. I really hope that Sandra feels ashamed of herself, because this woman will not only be able to not share her love of having a family with others, not she is labeled as a pedophile.

It’s my opinion. Just like everyone else has their opinion. I think we’re all grown/mature enough to respect each others opinions without going off the deep in.
