i think she definitely still has fond memories of him and probably regrets acting so hastily in regards to their breakup. but she’s just waaaaaay to picky and i don’t think any man who knows his worth is gonna tolerate that mess from her. like Dallas said during the show, he smoked and drank while they dated and although she may not have liked it, he didn’t let it change who he was as a person.

He sure ain’t. I remember when not too long after Usher got married, and Chili did an interview saying that she still loved Usher. I was too through with his a** with his response to that, basically saying that he and Chili weren’t really in a serious relationship and made it seem like she only had a crush on his funny lookin a**!!!

i def think a lot of women have unrealistic expectations when it comes to relationships. i hear lists like Chilli’s – and worse – all the time and these are the women who claim they want a relationship so bad. i agree that infidelity is a dealbreaker but all that b.s. like he gotta be ‘just so tall, drive this kinda car, have his own house, make 6 figures, blah, blah, blah’ is a huge turnoff.

hubby and i built what we have TOGETHER over the course of our marriage. i fell in love with his character, integrity and how he respected and cherished me as a woman. he didn’t have a fancy car, wasn’t making much money (i made more than him at the time, now its reversed), lived with his mother AND he didn’t have a college degree. i wouldn’t trade my hard-working, blue collar husband for nothing in the world.

Why are there not ongoing stories about all the Asian men that are not marrying because the Asian women are marrying other races in droves? I want to see sistahs stop participating in these dumb INSPECTIONS (because they are not investigating chit) and remind them that we are not victims, we just took our mamas advice to better ourselves than they did and many brothas did not keep up.

Whoever said he slapped her in the face marrying Tameka hit the nail on the head. @speak you are married for yrs if I recall so its easy for you to look down on list(I don’t have one) BUT when women don’t have standards then folks talk about them for not having standards I think the key is balance IMO. Eveyrbody knows what they like/dont like and what they can/cant deal w/. I would love to be in a relationship and I am open to such but until that time comes I will keep on serving God and living my life like its golden. I know when I do get married I won’t forget how hard the dating scene and flip it back on women (women n men are flawed) yet it seems like all the energy to get/keep a man is directed at women

I have tears in my eyes. I know that ppl feel some kind of way about it but those are ‘THEIR’ children. They look very happy. I mean how many ppl took the time to do the paperwork and file for adoption of the many black children in foster homes. I agree. I’m sure it feels horrible because there are black people who are very happily married and have wonderful lives. I get sick and tired of the media acting as though black people are not human – always focusing on the negative aspects, but unfortunately, sometimes many of us do the same.

I still think two of the pics were wrong. Yes we all have them of our kids, but when you post them on the internet is when the thin line is a red flag. I don’t doubt that they are a loving family, but sometimes the smartest ppl don’t make the best choices. Isn’t she a Professor? YEt I know this guy that has a great career, nice truck, and his wife spends when she wants yet he’s cheating on her left and right and she is MISERABLE! So give me my average Joe anyday. As long as we aren’t missing a meal and live in a decent house I’m good.

Congrats on the marriage!! You are right. Most people can’t look past the present to the future. Your hubby is in school and will likely be making decent money when he graduates.

For fear of what happened yesterday.I mean the kids faces are exposed in a negative way. Sandra only highlighted what she knew would enrage ppl. She did not post a link to the site to show what the family was about. Those kids are getting the opporitunity to have a life better than what they could have. People have fun with their kids all kinds of ways. I do and to my family I post pictures. (I haven’t taken pictures of their butts but have been known to show bath time). Sandy didn’t happen upon their page someone directed her to it. She took it and chose what she knew would bring her hits to her blog without thinking of the backlash that this family would get. I know that there are some sickos out there but guess what? If they are sexual predators they are gonna look at a fully clothed kid the same way.

Sandra, We all make mistakes. The best way for an adult to make up for that mistake is to Pray and Apologize. Say a pray for forgiveness and then write an open letter apologizing to Heather and her family on your blog and move on. You might want to post some additional pictures more accurately reflecting the love that they have for their kids and family.

I did not comment on the Heather post yesterday because I thought it was in poor taste. MOST people take bathtub pics of their children…and my brother and I who are a year and a half apart bathed together until we were about 7 or so because it was fun for us. Children are children…innocent…and they don’t get corrupted until adults put their views in their head. So for those boys, all they know is that they have 2 parents who LOVE them. How many BLACK fathers can comb hair much less a white man who took the time out to learn to twist his son’s hair to make sure they have an ethnic hairstyle in keeping with their culture???? They didn’t ask for the scrutiny and I appreciate the well written, thoughtful letter she wrote to Sandra and I would hope the post and her letter and all traces of them get deleted because it’s not fair to her and her family to be open to this.

I have 2 gfriends who adopoted kids but they went through the foster care system because it was cheaper. Money is the main reason I think more blacks don’t adopot that and they are already helping raise kids that already arent theirs. I say kudos to anybody that has the money and love to adopot a child

As I stated yesterday, I too took issue with the nude photos being on the internet, but I was mostly talking about Sandra’s possible intent. While this community may have been more supportive than negative, we have no idea how many lurkers on SR that went to that family’s blog and sent nasty emails to Heather. We have NO idea the emotional damage the additional emails have done to her. She has raised those children since they were babies and they are HER babies. All I did was post the pics to create dialog because I had never seen boys and girls bathing together since my brothers and I never did. But my nephew and my brother showered together all the time. Recently with the issue of Sandra posting that story about the family it made me feel disgusted. This is the reason why this country is sick the way it is. Since when was it bad for a mother to show off her children to other families and mothers and it gets turned into child pornography WHEN there is nothing pornographic about those children images. This is a mother who loves the children that she adopted and called them her own and felt obliged to share her love of her children with others who have the same liked mine she does. Sandra has turned that womans blog into some sick and sadistic interest for pedophiles and for some of US to sit and criticize this woman for being a MOM. I really hope that Sandra feels ashamed of herself, because this woman will not only be able to not share her love of having a family with others, not she is labeled as a pedophile.

@Shauny (although I think I’m one of the bible thumpers you’re referring to and this has nothing to do with religion ) So many people have blogs that are for family/friends around the world. That family’s blog was used as a way for their family and friends to keep up with the boys and to help other families who are adopting or considering adoption of babies of different ethnicities. They had tons of pictures up, the majority of which weren’t nude and the naked pics while they shouldn’t have been posted on a public forum were not indicative of abuse. Those boys look healthy, happy and perfectly okay. And the blog has been up for several years so far no one has reported them to the authorities. In yesterdays post Sandra said that the blogs comment section had been made private due to racist comments about the father doing the hair and why they had the boys not the nudity. The way that those pictures were posted was wrong. Only a few were selected and those were the ones meant to draw contoversy and that is what caused them to shut it down. When they were posted on this site, thousands of people who’d never heard of this family were exposed to these childrens names and their nakedness and the majority of people probably did not go and look at the blog and see how happy this family is. So yes, it probably did unleash a flood of ignorant emails to them just based off some of the comments posted yesterday I can see that. They probably were called all kinds of names, threatened and everything else when the only thing they did wrong was post pictures to their family blog (which by the way are very common nowadays. I was thinking of starting one for my out of state family who I don’t want on my facebook page). Some of you are so judgemental about how other people raise their children and you don’t even have your own children. Kids get naked in the house, especially little kids and parents take pictures. There are tons of naked pics of me in our family album, me in the tub, me on the toilet, me running naked with a sheet on my head, etc and its the same for my kids. Did I post them online no BUT imagine how you would feel if someone came across your photo album took pictures of your kids and put them online. And then judged your parenting and questioned our love for your kids and your ability to raise them properly. This is what happened to that family when Sandra posted that article yesterday because even though it was online you would have to search for it and know what you’re looking for to find it. Heathers student commented in yesterdays post and said she would send out invitations for people they knew to view the site. This was wrong period and like I said before I just pray that God blesses this family and doesn’t let anything more come from this. The fact that Sandra closed comments on the letter speaks volumes as someone else said because if she didn’t feel some kind of way about we would all know and that woman would’ve been ripped to shreds like the lacefront babys mama. I teared up reading her letter and she was professional and to the point so I don’t see why you guys are tearing the letter apart too but I digress

@Sandra, I’m not saying that you posted the pictures with the intent to draw negativity and the fact that you simply posted her letter and left the comments off gave me more respect for you. Sometimes things done with even the best of intentions end up going a different way and I’m not you so I can’t say why you did it. I just wish it didn’t happen or that people weren’t so judgemental. Even though the pics posted were the worst of the bunch it was clear from looking at them that the boys were happy and healthy and the family was loving

@Shauny, ok I get what you mean but everybody falls short at some point even about things they previously said they would never do. It doesn’t always make them hypocrites, it just means their human. When it keeps happening over and over with no remorse or acknowledgement then you have a reason to question them but that’s just my opinion

I think it’s best if Sandra left these family blogs alone. Unless they are on CNN/MSNBC because the authorities are already involved with an issue, then she does not need to plaster their lives all over HER blog when they have their own. No matter the intent.

I’m not a “bible thumper”. Ass in the face is ass in the face. I’d hope someone would pull me aside and give me a strong word or two if I ever put those types pictures up of my baby. Has nothing to do with race or quoting scriptures. Again. The one pic where it was like a naked sandwich outside? weird. The pictures with the painted butts? Weird. They are too old for that. It’s my opinion. Just like everyone else has their opinion. I think we’re all grown/mature enough to respect each others opinions without going off the deep in. If she didn’t want to be criticized, she should have chosen a different (more private) forum to broadcast this to her family/friends. That’s like walking around with pasties on the nipple and a thong at a birthday party then getting mad everybody calling you a stripper.
