@Nicola, are you trying to say most black folks would sell their soul for some change and attention???? Really? If you think that then you may want to reevaluate the black folks you associate with….

But anyway, I think there is some truth to these rumors and I’ve been saying that for awhile now before all this mess took off on the internet. Some people are so into the music/artists or turned off by the illuminati pscho babble that they aren’t willing to use critical thinking and look beyond the hype of what everyone is saying on both sides to see the truth. Music has the capability to make you feel happy, sad, angry etc and there is a reason why they say its a gateway to the soul and why its mentioned as being so prominent in heaven. There is also no way that you can believe in God, Jesus and the angels without acknowledging that the devil is real and there are evil spirits in this world. I don’t think its a coincidence that for years these type of rumors have run rampant in the music industry. And since at least the 60’s different types of music have been associated with heavy drug use, orgies, satanic things, suicides and murder and many hidden messages have been found in songs for years. I also don’t think its a coincidence that artists are such tortured souls or have died in such truly catastrophic ways over the years, be it drugs, car accidents, plane crashes, freak unexplained accidents and so on. So using Rihanna as an example, I understand how someone could take her seemingly quick ascension to the top of the charts without having the talent to back it up, the drastic change to her appearance and public persona, racy song lyrics, constant blank stare, etc., as something just not right. I’m not going to label someone a devil worshipper without concrete proof, though I would not listen to someone who admitted to being one. I will just continue to pray that God keeps me and my family covered, continues to give me discernment and opens my eyes and my childrens eyes to all that is around us so that we don’t get caught up in the wrong mess. The simple truth whether people believe it or not is that anything that does not glorify Him and hold true to His Word is not of God. So those who say the success of these artists is a gift from God is either confused or lying to themselves. Do I listen to secular music? Yes but I’m not going to lie to myself about it either. Everyone has their faults and shortcomings BUT I don’t listen to any artist that promotes drugs, risky sex, violence, pimps and things like that. Call me crazy if you want but I’m not an illuminati conspiracy theorist. I just know the Word of God which doesn’t falter or slip and slide around to make people comfortable

As far as the skull and bones thing its a symbol of death. Its the same symbol they used on bottles of poisonous chemicals/substances to warn people that they could cause death. Yes some secret societies use it as their symbol but I could care less about a group of people meeting in the dark shadows that I know nothing about. I simply refuse to allow myself or my children to walk around proudly sporting a symbol that symbolizes death. I don’t understand why designers think that’s cool or why people want to be associated with it. It used to be that only the punk rock/goth people would rock the skull and bones and now its everywhere JMO though

Ms. Truth exactly. And I rarely speak up on this topic because there is almost always someone who will call you a bible thumping hypocrite, tell you to get off a blog, and stuff like that and that’s what I get upset about. I’ll be the first to admit that I have my faults and am nowhere near sinless but I pray forgiveness everyday, am continuously working at bettering myself and know without a doubt that Jesus died for my sins so I could live. I’ve never understood how that makes me a hypocrite or a bible thumper but one thing I cannot do is deny my faith or say something isn’t wrong just to keep the peace. I’m gonna go take a nap now I haven’t been doing too well the last few days

The weather turned cold plus I’m coming down with something plus I’m a lil stressed and that makes it worse. @Nicola, I would never outright call anyone a devil worshipper period unless I knew without a doubt that they were. I used Rihanna as an example because the post is on her but I never said she was one. As far as those people you listed let’s see:
-Eminem, has had all kinds of mess talked about him for years and he is an example of the problems in the music industry now. Not to mention that he’s a drug addict who hates women. Does mainstream America give him a pass, yes and we know why that is. Not saying it makes it right but it is what it is. I used to be a fan of his when I was younger but I grew older and realized that it didn’t matter how good his flow and lyrics were, I can’t get with what he’s selling through his music so I don’t support him now.
-Ke$hia, who is that?
-Paris, Kim K, are both famous because they are rich socialites, attractive white girls who hung in the right circles and became front page news once the fascination with socialites and debutantes along with reality tv hit mainstream america. Throw in a couple sex tapes and they might as well be royalty. They didn’t however skyrocket to the top though and they are hardly respected outside of their circles. Again doesn’t make it right but what can you say?
-Bill Gates, Stephen Hawkins and Warren Buffett, all worked their butts off to get where they are now and to my knowledge didn’t do it by dealing drugs, promoting violence, sex or any of the other mess that Rhi Rhi and Jay and the majority of entertainers black and white promote nowadays so they shouldn’t be on your list period.

Are there black folks that will do anything for a little fame and fortune, yes but there are also white, asian, middle eastern, mexican, puerto rican, etc., who will do the same so why single out only blacks for your statement. You want to make this black vs white and its not. Whites have said the same about their own for years (Johnny Cash, Elvis and the Beatles are just a few that you can look up and see what was said about them in the past) and its not whites fueling the illuminati/devil worshipping rumors about these two. Rihanna hit the top fast without talent to back it up as her songs and appearance continued to get darker, raunchier and more out there. Her fans are like rabid dogs who will attack anyone who says two words about her. Jay Z went from an okay rapper 15 years ago rapping about the same things everybody else was rapping about, to calling himself Jayhovah, a decent businessman, head of a record label who outside of discovering Rihanna and putting Kanye out there was too busy focusing on himself so he found himself fired only to sign a landmark deal with LiveNation, marry Beyonce, have all his past misdoings (from slapping a chick on film, the court cases, slanging dope back in the day etc) to being a multi millionaire who hangs with politicians, Oprah and is supposedly the G.O.A.T. although his lyrics are about the same things they were when he first came out, his style hasn’t improved and he’s old a fvck for a rapper still rapping but he is being lauded before the nation and the youth as this great role model who has a great story of how he’s overcome adversity to be who he is today. While I would never say they are worshipping the devil both stories invite pause if you really take the time and think about it. Either way all of the entertainers listed in your post (except Ke$hia cause I really have no idea who that is) are selling a product that is not of God and goes directly against what is in the Bible. That is my basis for not supporting them not what some YouTube videos (which I actually have never watched and never intend to watch) have told me. I made a conscious choice several years ago to not support or listen to ANY artist regardless of nationality who promotes drugs, violence, sex with random multiple partners, hate or degrades women in their music. That was my choice and it works for me and my family. What you or anyone else chooses to listen to is not my problem I’m just stating my choice, beliefs and the knowledge I have based on my faith. I’m not pointing fingers and calling them anything nor have I ever done so

In regards to the secret societies, these have been around for years and not all of them have to do with the occult. Me personally, I won’t even pledge allegiance to my country so I’m really not gonna pledge my allegiance to an organization. But many people do because of family history, networking and things like that. Most have strict requirements and being extremely wealthy, well connected and of good breeding are generally part of those. The white businessmen you mentioned may be masons or other societies and they may not be. There are Black masons and the female portion of the group in almost every ones family and the same goes for many whites. I’m not running my life worried about who is in a secret society and whatnot especially since it doesn’t concern me and my family. As I said earlier all I can do is pray that my soul is forgiven, that God continues to keep and cover my family and I and that He continues to open our eyes to the garbage filling up the world around all of us so that I can stay on His path and a part of that is by not supporting those that are blatantly, deliberately, and without any remorse going against His Word. What you do is on you but its not a black/white issue its an issue affecting this entire country regardless of nationality, musical taste or gender but unfortunately the hip hop community is overflowing with a ridiculous amount of garbage being passed off as music and people who should not be admired are being passed off as role models and shoved down the throats of the youth who aren’t being properly parented and these youth (who will one day grow into misinformed adults) are soaking it all in and following whatever “message” is passed to them without looking for the true meaning or the intentions of the person giving the message. The very fact that you called Jay Z Hov is indicative of my point. Jehovah is a name for God yet people commit blasphemy each time they call him that without thinking twice but you can believe he knew what he was doing when he gave himself that nickname. I remember when he first started that mess, I wasn’t even saved then but the minute I heard h to the iz o that cd went out the window and I haven’t purchased another one since. People would rather follow what’s hot for the moment, who’s cool right now or whatever instead of looking for the meaning behind what they’re being fed or asking themselves “does this go along with my beliefs and what I was taught is right?” It is not a coincidence that each generation as the centuries have passed hasn’t gotten more and more tolerant with what is acceptable for society and in the last 30 years the bar has dropped so far that its practically hit the floor yet the industry is continuing to put out racier and more “shocking” material it seems like each week. At this rate by the end of the year we’ll be seeing hard core porn in music videos and those who do deal with the occult will be doing it out in the open for everyone to see and unfortunately when it happens very few people will stand up and say its wrong because their brains have become conditioned to thinking this stuff is okay and those who do stand up will be mocked and told to get with the times, its just music, its just art and all of the other excuses given now. I’m not calling anyone out but I am saying that its time for people, especially within the black community to open their eyes and see what is clear as day right in front of them. *sorry for the book once I got started it was hard to stop*
