New Music: Mary J Blige ft. Jay Sean – Each Tear

Remember when I told you guys that the music industry is going in a different direction away from Hip Hop and R&B? Here’s more proof in this new video for Mary J Blige’s “Each Tear” off Mary’s album Stronger With Each Tear.

Aside from the obvious fact that her duet is with a non-black artist, do you notice how the video features extras who are mostly Caucasian and mixed children as opposed to Mary’s core demographic?

I don’t see mostly White and mixed kids in the video. I see an equal amount of everybody. Also, the song is good, very cross-over, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Lending money is not a good idea ever. I don’t think it’s appropriate to lend to someone you’re romantically involved with it… rather I think by the time its okay to borrow from each other, your relationship has progressed to a point where it’s shared money anyways.

Yikes! I would have to be in a long-term relationship before I ever give money to another? I will say two years (notice I said give and not borrow…I am just that type of person: if I have it to give, you can have it. I never loan money. I just rather give and call it a day. I never like for people to feel obligated to me).

jewelry..me too!! I believe in gestures in kind. What I can do for you is what I cando for you and vice versa. I don’t believe in borrowing from dudes. I sort of have an expectation that if that person is aware that I am having a momentary financial challenge…I would hope that he is (invested) enough to not put me in the embarrassing position of having to ask. And if he does…I would return the favor and/or the money just to set a balanced tone in the relationship

I like the “balanced tone” statemnet. I will give the shirt off my back to anyone…especially in a healthy, monogamous relationship. I can’t stand the relationships where one person, most likely the woman, is so overtaken in a relationship, that she absolves their male counterpart of any financial obligations in a relationship. Then when the relationship goes sour, she goes into a fit detailing all that she has given to him and did for him. When I hear this, I am like, “What did he do in the relationship besides ? And then she goes, well even the wasn’t all that. OK…if it wasn’t all that then why are you broke, busted, and disgusted out here in front of everyone looking like a fool?

AM reminds me of this kid in my neighborhood. We were her friend in waves..4 of us..she would break her friendship down in 2’s. She would hang with the first two and dog and clown the other half of the 4some group. Then when the first two pissed her off and ran her away..she’d go and cozy up to the other two and dog and clown the first two. Until the 4somes got smart..they started hanging out…and then the kid would just sort of hang out in the backround hoping someome would give her the clue..she could hang out…..I know it sounds as confusing as AM’s Law Degree…but you get where I’m going right?
