Two-hit wonder Kelis was spotted leaving her London hotel today dressed colorfully over the top as usual. In case you’re wondering what she’s wearing, Upscale Hype got you covered!

Nas’ ex wife, R&B singer Kelis, was spotted in London wearing a Givenchy Gold Studded leather jacket ($2,176) from the Resort 2010 womenswear collection. The jacket features black leather embellished with gold toned round ball studs. For the outing, Kelis carried a Spring/Summer 2010 collection Vivienne Westwood Heart Shaped 4863 Ebury black bag (approx. $888), which was made from leather and has a large gold toned orb on the front. She was also rocking a pair of Fall 2009 collection Adidas by Jeremy Scott Mickey Mouse sneakers (about $300).

If I were completely cynical (and I am) I’d also believe that the reason she got pregnant prior to her divorce was to ensure income for at least 18 years and to garner sympathy from the legal system.

The child and alimony support checks are a trip. There is an actor Dennis Hoper who just got divorced from his wife they were married for 7 years and all she was like 15k a month in alimony and child support. I’m not sure on the dynamics of their marital agreement or if there was one to begin with but that is really low compared to what Nasir has to pay.

I use to like Kelis as well, but taking that man’s money like that is just wrong. I think a real women would of said take care of your kid that’s all I want. If hubby and I ever got divorced all he would have to do is take care of my son’s I can do the rest on my own. He needs a new team of lawyer’s ASAP…. I am pretty sure he can find a real good one willing to do it pro bona due to the media attention his case can give them…

Yes, Nas was angry about the sex tape. But that isn’t the ONLY cheating that was alleged about Kelis. Either way, BOTH were ALLEGED of cheating. I wouldn’t be surprised if both were cheating AND I wouldn’t be surprised if neither were cheating.

As for his finances. I seriously doubt Nas is worth over $5 million. That’s a generous estimate in and of itself. Do the math on music contracts and the fact that sales are generally lower (since you can get music for “free”) and his “royalty” checks aint much.

Also, for his “acting”… even A list actors RARELY get “residuals” from movies. I can think of Morgan Freeman from the two latest Batman movies and Jack Nickolson (spelling?) from the Tim Burton Batman. Nas received a flat sum for his role in Belly, and that flat sum was NOT substansial.

Eventually, Nas will have to dispute the court’s decision and we’ll see what he’s worth.

This is prime example as to why marriage is a business. Nas should have looked past love and went into self preservation mode prior to tieing the knot. When one party falls out of love the relationship hits a bump in the road. Some people can past the bump others can’t. Kelis should have told Nas about the sex tape prior to the marriage. Put everything on the table. Kelis monthly check is based on alimony and child support combined. When millions of dollars are involved love cant be the primary focus. Especially with someone you date or marry after you have millions. If Kelis was a gold digger then Nas set himself up as the delivery guy. But, I know for a fact when women feel burned by a man the best revenge is to hit them in the pocket. If not the pocket some women go striaght to their valued possessions.

Nas did have a mistress for many years. He paid her way through school.
