There was one debate that I never engaged in when it came to U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama: his birth status or whether he’s eligible to be president. As far as I was concerned, Obama is an American because his birth certificate is on file in Hawaii.
But now comes word that there may not be an original birth certificate on file in Hawaii for Obama after all.
According to online reports, new Hawaii governor Neil Abercombie admits that there is no original birth document with Obama’s name on it in Hawaii. This shocking news comes on the heels of Obama’s lukewarm State of the Union Address last night, in which he said basically nothing that we haven’t already heard.
Hawaii’s communications officer, Janice Okubo, confirmed Abercrombie’s statement by saying that the Registrar’s Office maintains a public collection of birth registrations and Obama’s name appears in them. However, it has long since been proven that Hawaii’s birth registration process includes foreign births when the parents claim a Hawaiian residence. When I see stuff like this it really makes me sad. It saddens me that adults can not agree on things that will help our country just becuase there is a black man in office. I have never seen such anger within people that reminds me of things that my grandmother would tell me that would happen to her when she was young because of her being a light skinned black women. People fighting against the President just so he can fail and they can say “I told you so”. How can any relationship go forward with that type of mentality. Anything to discredit him from doing a good job and being successful because God forbid Obama do a better job than the previous Presidents. I also hate that Sandra has to take part in it as well.

when i saw this post i threw up in my throat a little bit. sandra is aware as she is so enlightened and informed (side eye) about the current commander in chief that even if he could find the birth certificate, the governor would not be able to release it. i am quite interested to know why she is so interested in the citizenship of the president and not the ills that affect both the Black community and American society. what about the economy, two unfunded wars, guantanemo, the rising threat from extremists, and the state of Black America? lets get it together and stop hating on the President especially when you have no concern for the welfare of this country, or an American birth certificate yourself; especially while you benefit from the protections of the laws and Constitution of this land!

I work for the goverment and little ol me had to fill out a gazillion papers for the lowest level security clearance..which included submitting a birth certificate. sooooo this “breaking news” gets a #fail
