Michael Vick celebrates $100 million, 6-year contract with Philly

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is celebrating a new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth $100 million over 6 years, with $40 million guaranteed.

As is the case with Carmelo Anthony, Vick, 31, has never proven himself to be a franchise player who can bring home the trophy.

Vick had a similar lucrative contract with the Falcons before being arrested on federal charges of dog fighting and running a criminal enterprise. But despite the millions that he made as a Falcons star, Vick ended up penniless and barely able to afford his attorneys before he was sentenced to 23 months in prison in 2007 (he served 21 months).

I believe Vick has learned his lesson and he is doing well for himself! I for one am proud of the way he has bounced back!! I think the media and everyone else needs to really get over it! There are other players out there that have done worse!!!… Some of which are still in the league
