Here is more proof that Chris Brown’s career is officially over.
According to the Orlando Sentinel newspaper, a viewer kicked up a fuss over a seemingly innocent photo attached to the bio of a newly hired television reporter.
The reporter, clean cut Evrod Cassimy, who used to work at Central Florida News 13 in Orlando, is now an anchor at CBS4 in Denver.
Westword, the alternative paper in Denver, reports that CBS4 innocently posted a photo of Cassimy — a self-described Chris Brown fan — posing with Brown, whom the paper referred to as a “singer/felon.”
CBS4’s viewers didn’t waste any time protesting the tv station’s choice of photos on its website.
A viewer asked: ”Why would they allow THAT photo to be on their website? What if [Cassimy] was an OJ fan? Would they have drawn the line there?”
In response to the complaint, CBS4 news director Tim Wieland told the Westword newspaper:
“That photo was taken during an interview Evrod conducted with Chris Brown at his former station [in Orlando, Florida], about a charity event Brown was doing for the Red Cross. We’ve decided to remove it from the bio page.”
Wieland had tweeted that new hire Cassimy is a “terrific anchor and reporter.” But apparently, Cassimy is a poor judge of character.
