In 1997, advertising agency TBWA/Chiat/Day created Apple’s inspirational “Think Different” ad campaign. The ad series debuted with a television commercial September 28, 1997. Steve Jobs narrated the first “Think different” commercial titled “Here’s to the Crazy Ones”. But it never aired.
Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011 following a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56.

Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who think they are crazy enough to change the world…
are the ones who do.

you’ll be missed dearly, Steve.
And here’s to those who don’t Love the Lord enough to keep His commandments:
O Lord, Almighty God of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and of their righteous seed;
who hast made heaven and earth, with all the ornament thereof; who hast bound the sea by the word of thy commandment; who hast shut up the deep, and sealed it by thy terrible and glorious name; whom all men fear, and tremble before thy power; for the majesty of thy glory cannot be borne, and thine angry threatening toward sinners is importable:
but thy merciful promise is unmeasurable and unsearchable; for thou art the most high Lord, of great compassion, longsuffering, very merciful, and repentest of the evils of men. Thou, O Lord, according to thy great goodness hast promised repentance and forgiveness to them that have sinned against thee:
and of thine infinite mercies hast appointed repentance unto sinners, that they may be saved. Thou therefore, O Lord, that art the God of the just, hast not appointed repentance to the just, as to Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, which have not sinned against thee; but thou hast appointed repentance unto me that am a sinner: for I have sinned above the number of the sands of the sea.
My transgressions, O Lord, are multiplied: my transgressions are multiplied, and I am not worthy to behold and see the height of heaven for the multitude of mine iniquities. I am bowed down with many iron bands, that I cannot life up mine head, neither have any release: for I have provoked thy wrath, and done evil before thee: I did not thy will, neither kept I thy commandments:
I have set up abominations, and have multiplied offences. Now therefore I bow the knee of mine heart, beseeching thee of grace. I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned, and I acknowledge mine iniquities: wherefore, I humbly beseech thee, forgive me, O Lord, forgive me, and destroy me not with mine iniquities.
Be not angry with me for ever, by reserving evil for me; neither condemn me to the lower parts of the earth. For thou art the God, even the God of them that repent; and in me thou wilt shew all thy goodness: for thou wilt save me, that am unworthy, according to thy great mercy. Therefore I will praise thee for ever all the days of my life: for all the powers of the heavens do praise thee, and thine is the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Prayer of Manasseh Chapter 1:1
Coming out of lurk where I stay if I have nothing to contribute:
With all due respects and sincerity Redeemed, this is an entertainment blog. People discuss celebrities and occasionally go off topic to other discussions. Why do you post here as opposide to a blog where religion is the main topics of discussion? Also I had asked before if you were male or female and also what was that in your gravatar, but I never got an answer. Thanks.
@Yardgirl
I want you to do this little thing for me….
Check out ” Nathanyel7 ” on youtube.
@Redeemed OK I watched one of the videos and will go back later as there are many out there.
@Yardgirl
Make sure that the ones you are watching has two men dressed in purple…one speaking, and the other reading from the Bible!
@Redeemed: OK seriously I will do it later. Now you did not say whether you are male or female and WHAT is your gravatar?? For real that question pops up in my mind everytime and it’s not invading your privacy right, you will still be anonymous
Redeemed is that a Graven image in your Gravi?!!!
I wonder why?!!!…..
Oh well I guess I will just leave this post myself…
@Yardgirl
The gravatar is a picture of a supposed angel
I might have to take it down tho.
@Redeemed: OK now I see the wings n since you wont say, I am going to assume that you are male
Have a good afternoon, I am off to lunch!!!

Brilliant marketing plan, plays on the delusion many people have that they are also exceptional. Shout out the unique to build a team of money spending sheep. Smart!
“Because the people who think they are crazy enough to change the world…

Agreed… I’ve remained in the AF for as long as I have because I believe I can make a difference in the way we handle victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. A lot of people think I’m crazy, but after the domestic violence murder of a dear friend, I was able to find my purpose and now push for a change in our system. I’ve managed to convince senior leaders on my base that it’s important for us to open support lines, groups and offices where victims can feel safe to talk about abuse they sustain at the hands of their intimate partner. I’d hate to sit back and reflect on the fact that I did nothing, rather than make a strong attempt to change the things I am unhappy with.
Oh and Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth also died, but I’m starting to see his contributions to the world (struggle) are being overshadowed by Steve Jobs…
@fergie
‘Yes i agree I havent seen much about Rev. Shuttlesworth and it may be in part to that mainstream media and society as a whole see is contributions to the US to the Civil Rights movement not nessecarily a global thing. Where as steve Jobs changed so much about how we comminicate function and work globally and so much more.
But thats just my opinion not saying i think its right at all but Steve Jobs is a more globally recognized figure…and may be why we see more..
