The full version of the most talked about Mary J Blige track in recent memory hit the Internets yesterday. Love A Woman was originally recorded by Beyoncé, who decided she didn’t want it (for good reason) so she tossed it to Mary. It’s off her My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act I), which hits stores on November 21st.
“Love A Woman” is more disappointing drivel from an artist whose lengthy career is pretty much over. Even Beyonce couldn’t save this gloomy track. While the lyrics imploring men to love their women are meaningful, the track doesn’t quite hit the mark. Mary will always be considered a R&B legend, and she will remain in demand on the nightclub circuit, if that’s any consolation.

It’s a better fit for Mary. I couldn’t hear Bey singing this
i like it. the track sounds like something str8 from the internet, but that can be changed easily.
I must say I’m growing a bit tired of the ‘real man, no good man’ songs. Ladies, if you stop dating black men only, you will then have little reason to feel depressed, repressed, and opressed.

I agree. Sometimes it’s not the men you date, it’s you! If you continue choosing the same types of losers, a Mary J Blige song is not going to help you.

I am highly disappointed in this track. It seems as if Mary don’t know what good music sound like now-a-days. If another artist throw away a track what makes another artist think they can make it any better? Please put this back in the trash!
