Why is it that when a celebrity debuts her new weave hairstyle, we blogs have to write a new post about it?
As far as I’m concerned, weave is no different from lacefronts or wigs; it’s all artificial hair to me. So why make a big deal about it? Did the media in the 60s write articles every time Diana Ross debuted a new wig?
Last night, R&B Diva Monica, who I love like a niece, tweeted a pic of her new weave. But instead of tweeting “new hair”, she tweeted “new color!” That tweet left me baffled. I thought when we announce we have a new color, we’re supposed to mean our own hair?
Mo later clarified that the new color was in reference to her own hair. She then acknowledged her new hair by declaring, “I bought it.”
That’s fine. But when a man buys a new car that’s a different color than his last vehicle, does he pull up to his boy’s crib and shout, “hey dawg, new color!”

I’m more concerned with healthy hair than If it’s relaxed, weaves, or natural. There are people who have natural hair who don’t have heathy hair.

@lex I wear my natural hair and right now it is light dark brown but before the summer time I get two tone highlights in my hair and because I do that I dont put any perms on my hair..

Well I color my hair all the time just b/c I like to change it up and I don’t think that negates me being a proud African or African American in the least…btw there are some blacks that are naturally blond in parts of Africa with the darkest of hues

I found it at the beauty shop (you can get it online too) and those things fly off the shelf because they are relatively inexpensive ($30-40). The must have one though is the root straightener, it-is-the-BOMB getting to the roots without burning your scalp or hairline!!

Before I purchase most beauty items, I usually go to You Tube for reviews, hair items, makeup, etc. I have the HairArt H3000 Ceramic flat iron. Works pretty good!

If any of the weaves people are wearing now were human hair, China and India would be full of bald people. This “hair” “we” are all buying is from China, but some Chemical plant. I haven’t seen human hair weave since 2003. Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, are all wearing plastic now too by the looks of it. But I do love how the manufacturers keep putting a strand or two of “grey hairs” in every pack.
Someone needs to do a study about what chemicals they’re using to make this hair, I bet they’re carcinogenic.
Monica’s hair is cute but I do prefer her hair short.
this dude is 18……and in my 9th grade algerbra class. But I think as long as you have the parent consent , it’s ok in TX. IM not sure, but half the students up here got tats. We just make them cover them up.

This is the exact reason why my no nonsense black daughters want to pledge a white sorority, they are sick and tired about hair this and hair that, is it real?, are you mixed with something other than black? hating because it is real. One of my girls just cut it off. Girls coming to 8am Physics101 with Beyonce hair and red bottoms…Too much, they would rather slum with the rich white folks wearing Sperry’s and Levi’s.
