It seems tickets for an upcoming Obama fundraiser with Beyonce and Jay Z in NY aren’t selling quickly enough. So singer Beyonce sent out a personal email to well-heeled President Obama supporters begging them to plunk down $40,000 for a ticket to attend the fundraiser.
“I usually don’t email you,” writes Beyonce in each personalized email to Obama supporters. “but I have an amazing invitation I have to share.”
“Jay and I will be meeting up with President Obama for an evening in NYC sometime soon. And we want you to be there!,” she adds.
It isn’t like the email recipients don’t know that Obama will be holding a fundraiser in NYC with Beyonce and Jay Z — they just don’t want to pay $40,000 for a ticket to attend.

I just was checking my emails and I actually received it…..it was immediately deleted. Though I am President Obama 2012, I HAVE NEVER been for Beyonce or Jay Z (no matter the “cause”)!!!
I and several people I know got the email and it actually said if you donate at least $5. I also got one from George Clooney and SJP when they had their fundraiser. As you said, the email went to supporters–people who have donated in the past or signed up on the site. It was not random.
I received the email. It said “Until midnight tonight, if you pitch in $25 or whatever you can, you’ll be automatically entered to be flown out to join us.” The email ended with “Love, B.” Honestly, I don’t see why this is a BIG deal. George Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker did the exact same thing.

We get emails like that all the time from the DNC. When SJ Parker had her even and George Clooney, they emailed us as well. We get emails everyday.
Why would you miss advise your readers to believe that Beyonce is asking for folks to pay 40K to attend an Obama Fundraiser dinner as your headline states. You have the platform to report news yet you choose to report how YOU see things regardless if it is right or wrong. I do enjoy your site for the entertainment news but you need to stay away when it comes to politics, because Sandra you know deep down you are wrong for trying to make things seem what they really aren’t at the end of the day we all have to resort to our inner peace to get by and I hope that when you are reflecting upon things when you are alone you can close your eyes and feel that inner peace and look in the mirror and like what you see, because you did what was right/honest, not what you wanted to do.
